2 more gone with Varane, Heaton and Evans, clearout started, with hopefully about 10 more to follow. I expect about 4 to come in with the promotion of youth too.
1.) 17 May 2024 17:25:42
AWB gone as well, which needed to happen. Martial leaving is long overdue. Casemiro may be gone too.
2.) 17 May 2024 18:56:58
Is this official or where u getting this info?
3.) 17 May 2024 19:22:00
Apparently AWB has indicated he wants to go back to London, maybe back to Palace (from Muppetiers)
4.) 17 May 2024 19:46:19
Part of a deal for Olise would be good.
5.) 17 May 2024 20:20:01
Not much Palace can do if someone matches the release clause for Olise.
Although I’m still wondering what happened that time that Arsenal matched Suarez’s clause but Liverpool rejected it lol.
6.) 17 May 2024 20:58:40
If we are interested in Olise and Palace would like him back then a deal should be able to be done to suit all parties.
They play 3 at the back so I wonder whether he fits but a good deal if it works.
7.) 17 May 2024 18:30:26
AWB has a other year at the club, I'm not if there are any clubs interested in him?
ED002, what are the options for AWB this summer?
{Ed002's Note - Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB) Manchester United have invoked a one year contract extension as the replacement they had in mind is not interested in the move. Middle East may offer a solution. Inter Milan might be a wildcard solution.]
8.) 18 May 2024 10:16:47
I think we'll see a lot of players leaving this summer. The new ownership is looking to start a significant rebuild and they need to reduce the wage bill and bring in some money from transfer fees where possible. They have also made it very clear that they want to have players who want to be at the club, and who want to fight for a place in the team.
If AWB wants to leave then they won't stand in his way and will look to get the best deal for the club.
That is the same for all players.
9.) 18 May 2024 11:04:09
Ed02 could there be any legs in AWB to Inter with Denzel Dumfries coming the other way? Have seen Dumfries linked a fair bit recently but not sure if usual press click bait.
{Ed002's Note - I would think it very unlikely. Whilst Inter would be ahppy to sell Dunfies he is not first choice for Manchester United and Inter have a very clear understanding of who they want to replace Dunfries already and are working towards it.}
10.) 18 May 2024 11:17:02
Thanks ED002.
11.) 18 May 2024 13:32:02
Thanks Ed02.
12.) 18 May 2024 15:55:54
Thanks for the info ED002. A quick question if you don't mind, I believe I've read before that clubs can't trigger the one year extension with the intention to sell the player. Is it the case with AWB? Can united sell him in the summer now that united has triggered the cause?
{Ed002's Note - They cannot do it for the purpose of profiteering.}
13.) 19 May 2024 08:01:06
I’d imagine hard to prove though.
14.) 21 May 2024 20:42:07
The kid Wharton at Palace looks special. If Bruno goes he could be one to watch.
I like the Scott at Boutnemouth too. He needs time to develop there especially after his knee injury. The Cherries have a couple of good young defenders too it would be worth considering in another year.
18 Apr 2024 09:15:29
Won't be 5 teams from Premier League in the Champions League now, think it will go the German league.
1.) 18 Apr 2024 10:46:03
Won’t affect us anyways I wouldn’t imagine. Bad news for spurs.
2.) 18 Apr 2024 11:22:50
Irrelevant to us. We’re not at the required standard yet to compete in that competition.
3.) 18 Apr 2024 17:49:58
Couldn’t give 2 hoots
Million miles off competing at the highest level.
4.) 18 Apr 2024 18:08:32
I would be ok with a stint in the UEFA Conference and try to win it as a new European trophy.
5.) 18 Apr 2024 18:35:53
I would prefer us not to be in Europe at all next year if it means being in the conference trophy competition. What with the Euros and and new players / manager? coming in or leaving I would prefer midweek for getting proper coaching sessions and time to rest if players are injured.
6.) 19 Apr 2024 09:35:29
Salford7,
I agree with you. Furthermore it would enable the club to cut down the squad as there wouldn't be the need to such a large playing squad either.
Additionally we might have better luck with injuries aswell.
7.) 19 Apr 2024 19:29:03
I’d be ok being in it, a trophy is a trophy. Need more of that mentality within the squad. Could still use it to blood younger players and expose players like Mainoo to European football.
22 Jul 2023 19:42:08
Latest update says the Glazers are now not all in agreement with selling, this is reported as the delay in thd sale with Joel and Avram both wanting to stay but the others wanting to sell. This if true is not good news and can only delay things.
1.) 22 Jul 2023 22:06:54
Oretty mich since the talk of bids first camein there have been stories saying those two didn't want to sell but the rest did or variations of this.
If/ when it happens, it happens, kind of not worth thinking about the various permutations right now as it coukd be weeks months years and they may ir may not sell all or part of the club or finance and probably many more possibilities that i know nothing about.
2.) 23 Jul 2023 00:42:56
Clearly no one has met their absurd valuation, and are very unlikely to do so.
I guess there will be no investment in the facilities, and the bare minimum in the team to try and remain competitive.
As Oakbark suggests, the whole saga is no longer worth conjecturing about. It will happen when it happens, if it happens. Newspaper reports about the internal machinations of the Glazer family are nothing more than guesswork.
3.) 23 Jul 2023 12:44:32
This has been rumoured for months.
24 Jun 2023 16:05:10
Worrying about the Mason Mount deal, he has only 12months left on his contract, didn't have great season last year, had injuries, why would you pay such a high price. He would have been offered a decant wage at Chelsea, we have obviously offered more, we made 3 high bids, time to move on, sign on a free next year if we still want him.
1.) 24 Jun 2023 23:40:58
Why not tell Mount and agree with him to sit tight and then come back in January with an offer of say £30m when he has only six months contract left?
{Ed002's Note - That would be a nice charge to defend.}
2.) 25 Jun 2023 08:27:27
Ed in regards to tapping up rules etc, if we said that to his agent is that allowed? Or are there strict guidelines in terms of the conversations that can be had with agents?
Cheers.
{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with tapping up or agents - it is third party influence over a player and the pub could expect a serious and lengthy transfer ban.
3.) 25 Jun 2023 10:42:18
Ed002
Sorry to reply and ask but after 3 bids rejected we walk away and then January he will be open to signing a pre contract with any team he chooses.
Is it not possible at all for Mount to sign for Utd rather than Utd sign Mount January.
{Ed002's Note - Mount cannot sign a pre-cointract with Manchester United in January.}
4.) 25 Jun 2023 12:03:31
Fair, cheers Ed.
15 Jun 2023 18:39:52
The first marquee signing Mbappe, wouldn't that be nice.
1.) 15 Jun 2023 19:47:52
Can't see it but yes it woukd be nice. More important is to get in a top driving mudfielder so we control games.
2.) 15 Jun 2023 22:34:45
On the pitch……. brilliant. Off the pitch……he’s everything we’ve been striving to change and avoid. No thanks. Despite how good he is.
3.) 16 Jun 2023 06:11:17
One-two seasons and he would be angling to move to Madrid. Not worth the hassle.
4.) 16 Jun 2023 09:14:33
Exactly Grim- would be a circus around him, one mis palced pass or missing an easy chance and media will be all over him saying he wants out etc etc -not worth the hassle.
5.) 16 Jun 2023 11:10:19
You're all bonkers if you wouldn't take Mbappe. Circus or not he's at level we should always be attaining to get.
6.) 16 Jun 2023 13:28:02
PSG gave Mbappe fat too much power and that’s been their downfall. If he ends up at Real, City or United he won’t have the clout he’s got at PSG.
I’d take him in a heartbeat! The next best thing to Haaland.
7.) 17 Jun 2023 21:01:08
@2toms - I thought the issue with Mbappe was he hasn’t got the clout that PSG promised? Feels they promised the earth to get him to extend but haven’t delivered. He definitely leaves. He’s happy to run his contract down and PSG will demand he’s sold this summer for a big fee. So then we get into FFP quagmire of who can afford him. Real Madrid just paid out £88m (+£27m add ons) for Bellingham so wouldn’t buy him unless selling someone significant. Arguably he’s actually in the wrong forward position to given he’s similar to Rashford - best at LW. Real need a Benzema replacement more.
8.) 19 Jun 2023 12:26:37
Does Mbappe not tend to play RW?

Such very sad and shocking news, condolences to his family.
12 Jun 2024 09:03:07
Do any of us really know SJR approached any of those other managers mentioned the media, just because 2 people were in the same city at the same time doesn't mean they even met let alone discuss Manchester United, pure click bait. EtH is in now, it is only now we will get to see the new backroom staff operating, plenty of players to sell and a few needed. Be interesting to watch the next few months unfold. Hopefully they surprise us all with some shrewd deals.
1.) 12 Jun 2024 11:20:55
I would probably expect there is some truth to the stories, with most of it being dramatised for click bait as you said.
I also expect the same said managers have had and will have conversations with multiple clubs, some likely already with managers in place. The difference is they're are not Manchester United so not newsworthy.
Lets just hope with some of the responsibility burdens eased with the new structure in place, EtH can now focus on coaching the players and bringing through more youth.
04 Jun 2024 08:43:33
Be interesting to see how our transfers progress this window with the new backroom team. Will we see drawn out public bids with us paying way over the odds or will it be quick discreet. I can see a new approach with us walking away from deals if the price is too high. Hopefully we get the calibre of the players we need. Hope the manager situation is sorted quickly, if ETH is sacked, l hope the new manager is appointed quickly.
1.) 04 Jun 2024 10:37:22
I would expect a lot of noise in the press/ podcasters linking us to all manner of players and it will likely be a long transfer window with the Euros.
I expect us to be doing a lot of work in the background on a lot of players, some of which will come off and some not. I don't expec us to get involved in any long drawn out processes similar to the De Jong saga.
Based on the number of out goings we will see a mix of players coming in, some for the now and some cheaper/ free agents who can fill a gap or will be developmental for the future.
As with the manager situation I think we will need to be patient and trust the process and that the right people are making the decisions.
2.) 04 Jun 2024 18:45:36
Hard to see transfers getting any traction or even if the news out there is real or just bs speculation for click bait as no decent player just signs up not knowing, who is the manager and what are the plans going forward and how it impacts them.
With all due respect to Wilcox, whose resume consists of being the city U18 academy coach and DOF at Southampton for 6 months is not going to influence or convince a top signings to come onboard and not worry about who is actually managing the team.
We need to make a decision and get on with things one way or another and get moving with player recruitment. Dragging this out will only be another frustrating summer like past summers.
3.) 05 Jun 2024 01:53:22
Ahmad,
If you really wanted to give due respect to Wilcox I reckon you would at least google his actual job at City.
25 May 2024 18:01:49
Great result and performance, lots of Credit to ETH, his tactics today were spot on and the players gave 100%, what a day! C'mon United!
1.) 25 May 2024 19:06:25
An FA cup win is always sweet but beating this city team in the final is special. And deserving to win it makes it one of my favourite cup wins.
2.) 25 May 2024 19:25:09
Ten Hag IN!1.
3.) 25 May 2024 19:35:26
Shows that when he has a team he can do a job. This season has been like asking a bricklayer to build a house from weetabix.
4.) 25 May 2024 20:58:31
Danny, great analogy.
5.) 25 May 2024 22:05:16
Recon, come on, it was Wilcoxs tactics today.
25 May 2024 14:49:20
It is very obvious to everyone if ETH was staying it would have been said months ago, purely to let players know and those not happy can either apply themselves or leave. Many of the players need a kick up the backside.
1.) 25 May 2024 17:27:44
He needs to stay.
17 May 2024 13:11:03
Think so.
07 Apr 2024 15:26:49
Oh God, No.
14 Aug 2023 23:50:10
It was coming last season he really dipped in the later games, l thought it was tiredness from the pace of the Premiership, but he got plenty or rest with suspensions. Hopefully he finds form again, but needs a worker with him, need to play 4-2-3-1 against strong teams, but looking at tonight it might be our best formation all the time.
17 Jul 2023 11:27:36
Thank you.
30 Jun 2023 10:54:50
Well as of today we only have Henderson and Heaton, Dave's contract is finished. Henderson won't stay, so we need to purchase.
