I think 5/ 6 signings will be made this summer. with a few players moving on as well such as rooney, smalling etc.

With one signing already confirmed being lindelof who do you reckon the other 4/ 5 will be?

Here's my call:-

1. Lindelof (CB) (already signed)
2. Semedo (RB) (Benfica)
3. Tierney (LB) (celtic)
4. Perisic (LM) (Inter)
5. Morata (St) (Madrid)
6. Fabinho or Bakayouko (DM) (Monaco) - complete toss of the coin on who this could be but i'm going to say Bakayouko (reckon him and pogba would be absolutely lethal playing together)

So folks what you's think?

{Ed004's Note - I would agree with that as well but number 6 could be Dier or Matic as options as well}

1.) 21 Jun 2017 13:50:04
ed04 do not get the love in with dier if lvg was still in charge yes he is great at passing sideways and backwards and for england his passing the ball forward is always over hit would rather keep carrick than him.

{Ed004's Note - I think he is a bit underrated on here. I think he played the most minutes for Spurs in the league last year and you don't do that being an average player}

2.) 21 Jun 2017 13:53:51
Im thinking Matic in that list TBH.

3.) 21 Jun 2017 15:01:02
If a 6th Aaron Martin.

4.) 21 Jun 2017 15:44:01
At no. 6 should be Verratti Robbo!

5.) 21 Jun 2017 18:11:53
tierney wouldn't take a step down in size of club.

6.) 21 Jun 2017 19:59:01
Good list Robbo, I agree with all of it from the sound of things, except I would prefer Fabinho at defensive mid. Bakayoko looks more imposing defensively, but Fabinho is better on the ball. And from reports we have heard, Bakayoko seems more likely to Chelsea and Fabinho to us. My only worry about these rumours is that Monaco might not want to be selling off their entire team from last season. And what a season they had.

7.) 21 Jun 2017 20:43:16
There is not one Celtic player that wouldn't jump ship for the right offer to play in a competitive league James.

8.) 21 Jun 2017 20:57:05
Ban him ed007.

{Ed007's Note - A competitive league with the likes of Watford, Bournemouth, Burnley, Huddersfield and Brighton in it! My granny could run that dross ragged and she's been dead 20 years.}

9.) 21 Jun 2017 22:24:01
Take fabinho out of Monaco and the covering of bakayoko and you'll see how average he is.

10.) 22 Jun 2017 09:25:19
I am going to stick my neck out and say that United will sign one of these players in this thread.

11.) 22 Jun 2017 10:23:58
They have already signed 1 so none of the other maze?

12.) 22 Jun 2017 11:24:55
Ken we both know I am talking about the Fabinhos and the Moratas but thanks for stating the blatant obvious.

13.) 22 Jun 2017 11:39:12
How many fabinhos and moratas are there?

14.) 22 Jun 2017 12:10:17
Angel I am not sure but if you care to check the last census done by each of their countries I am sure you will find plenty. You might even learn something.

15.) 22 Jun 2017 13:13:45
I'm a huge Dier fan, his passing is good and he's defensively excellent. He'd allow the full backs to get forward more by dropping back when we have the ball to help cover the defence. I also think he'd help get the best out of Pogba.

16.) 22 Jun 2017 13:21:33
Your welcome maze.

i'd take otamendi all day over hummels. absolute beast of a defender and would mix well with the current argies in the squad. him and rojo would be a lethal partnership

Clarkdog7 you say he created chances in a poor league?

I'm near sure 3 teams out of 4 where in the champions league semis last year. how many English teams were there? Think that speaks volumes for itself. Premier league is the mos exciting due to the pace of the games and the smaller pitches. but when it comes to the standards of fitness and the football being played the spanish league is way superior I'm afraid ATM.

Id take strootman and thiago over them two every day of the year.

Rooney hasn't been himself for some time now (few years) he's past his peak, has lost bags of pace he used to have (remember them big bursts he used to make).

i think its time he moved on to pastures new unless he can rediscover his form and get as fit as a racing horse

I agree MPez solely on the fact that fabinho has more youth and pace in his game. doesn't have the experience of matic, but surely that's why carrick is still there. get fabinho in and let the trio all grow up together. imagine them in 3 seasons time after playing with each other. best midfield in world football I'd say.

Can just picture you in real life as being an 8 foot 12 year old called Peter.Go for the high jump every time

In their primes I would go for

1. Scholes
2. Pirlo
3. Xavi
4. Gerrard

Don't need to give reasons. though if Xavi had scored more goals I would have placed him at the top.

Gerrard playing at Liverpool has played him no favours at all. perhaps if he had of played at a top top club like united, chelsea, bayern, barca or real he could have achieved way more. such a waste of talent
