Well var has ruined football well and truly. Pickford should have been off. Robertson should have been off and that henderson goal should have stood. Genuinely do not understand the decision making.

It's the decision makers and silly rules that are ruining elements of football. I personally believe VAR is great, shame they don't know how to use it.

2.) 17 Oct 2020 20:55:49
Agree angel, VAR isn't the problem its the people operating it unfortunately.

For Ed001. Just wanted to know your opinion on Rashford. He seems to split opinion on United fans. Unlimited potential for some, the next Welbeck for others.

Understand if you cba as you seem to get inundated with requests, but would be interesting to see your point of view on him. Understand he's only young so hard to judge at this stage as it's usually the mental side that's so important for younger players.

{Ed001's Note - personally I think he has a huge potential. He is just a kid and incredibly inconsistent because of it but he has plenty of ability. The issue I saw last night was a lad looking for an early ball, ala Vardy, to make use of his blistering pace, but every player on the United team taking 3 or 4 touches before playing the ball to him. Way too late. They need to be getting it and playing it immediately over the top for him to run onto to get the most out of him in that position when there is so much space in behind.

I have added him to the list for player profiles so I can give a more lengthy reply for you on there.}

I'd rather take Welbeck any day of the week. He brings nothing but pace and then doesn't know what to do with the ball. Gets the occasional goal, but so did Welbeck and he actually knew what he was doing, despite being injured all the time.

Rashford is not Utd quality, it's just the media-hype and the way he started that have let him get a pass for so long. Almost every game I watch him he is a non-entity. Even with his pace he rarely beats a man with the ball at his feet and decision making is woeful. Mid-Table player if he hadn't started to well in a Utd shirt.

Oh there it is. Our little ray of sunshine on a damp and misty day.

Beast, if you get any more negative you will have to be developed :)

3.) 11 Aug 2018 09:42:52
Thanks Ed.

4.) 11 Aug 2018 10:09:32
Betty at least he didn't run away like a spoilt child and stop posting cause he didn't like what the other kids were saying.
The messiah is back and supposed to be funny.

5.) 11 Aug 2018 10:50:42
Ouch Leahy, that cut really deep - I'm off to tell my mum. Not sure what prompted that, but I will be sure to refrain from upsetting you in future. I guess being a spoilt child is a necessity for a few on here anyway, so should fit in well.

As for being the messiah? Well, that's very kind of you but I'm not really THAT special. Just a naughty boy, evidently.

6.) 11 Aug 2018 11:16:20
Ya the boy that wanted a post reposted yesterday. never seen anyone look for that before. Something about needing valium to be on here or something along those lines didn't read it all. The reposting bit was enough for me.

7.) 11 Aug 2018 11:17:47
Betty - How can you refrain if you weren't sure what upset him, unless you do another Lord Lucan?

Welbeck was 'one of our own' at one point as well remember.

I also don't get your humour to be honest, but each to their own. One man's 'Mrs Brown's Boys', is another man's 'Only Fool's and Horses', I suppose.

8.) 11 Aug 2018 11:40:47

I think you have upset Leahy mate 😂.

9.) 11 Aug 2018 11:40:48
Hey, no problem guys. Don't want to get into a fight.

I never engage in a battle of wits with unarmed opponents.

{Ed025's Note - love it betty..

10.) 11 Aug 2018 11:42:40
Im not sure Rashford is in Mbappes league, but I think he's better than Welbeck.
Still not good enough to start for me, but a good bench player.

11.) 11 Aug 2018 11:57:13
For once i agree with Beast. Have been saying it for quite sometime now. If Rashford weren't English, he would be playing for Fulham.

12.) 11 Aug 2018 12:24:35
In the words of Ron burgundy "that escalated quickly"😂😂.

Is he not very good, Ed? I've genuinely never seen him play.

Sepp Blogger

{Ed014's Note - sorry mate, I’d never even heard of him before let alone seen him play.

ETH obvs likes him so he must rate him. It’ll be interesting to see how he gets on in the Prem.

My concern was that he was going to replace Saliba who for me is going to be quality.

I like TFM. I think he could be a decent player with some proper coaching.

I seem to remember him saying something similar about us not so long ago.

Well, you also become accustomed to your own pitch and have an advantage over away teams in that respect. So it's quite a big disadvantage really.

Can't help but think that this is going to be a mistake.

Who would you have as the manager Ed? I know you're a big fan of Southgate and are hoping he'll replace Klopp.

Seems to be a shortage of top managers out there at the minute. All are a bit of a gamble.

Sepp Blogger

{Ed001's Note - for United? I think you are right, Southgate would be ideal. It would mean whenever I watch United play my insomnia would not be a problem....

Seriously though, I think someone like Slot looks about the best bet. Maybe Amorim, if he isn't going elsewhere. There aren't really a lot of good options about, which is the worrying thing for the sport in general. There just don't seem to be any standouts right now. McKenna would surely have to be considered, though I have not seen anything of Ipswich to really judge the way he plays.}

There's a reason Everton have the 4th lowest goals conceded in the league.

Potter, Nagelsmann or maybe Amorim?

There's no reason why a midfield three of lampard, gerrard and Scholes couldn't have worked with a decent coach.

Also, the season under Benitez where they almost won the league- didn't Gerrard play a lot at RW and was exceptional?
