United have outgrown him, but he will make a great CB for some team. Afterall, he was named in the official Euros team of the tournament and Sky Sports team of the World Cup …So that’s not the donkey everyone seems to be saying he is. Good luck to him wherever he goes I say.

Am I the only one that feels Maguire is getting a really unfair Schtick here? Yes he’s slow by modern CB standards but no way is he Everton standard. I feel the Liverpool and Leeds fans have led the ridicule and it’s stuck. Out of all the bang average not quite there players we have, surely he’s not such a panic sell?

Southgate has picked McGuire because he sees him as reliable. Stats say he’s Southgate’s best performing defender and was even named in the team of the tournament at the WC. But surely lack of playing time must be a massive negative.

Oh sweet Jebus, what a bunch of whingers some of you lot are! It reads like junior school playground rubbish. Okay, so every fan wants their team to win every game, all of the time …We’ll no rubbish Sherlock, but reality isn’t that is it? Even in the Ferguson glory years it was never that.
But here you are after four games, already saying we’re doomed and the manager isn’t up to it. Christ on a bike, everyone knows it’s night and day the best set up we’ve had for years. and then when other rational minds try to temper your vitriol they get accused of accepting mediocrity! If Garnacho’s goal was allowed and we won at the Arsenal, you’d all be hailing the great Ten Hag as the new messiah. we’re all passionate about our clubby& want the best. For me this may be one of United’s smartest moves: MG is a poison chalice at the moment for every club. No one wanted to touch him in this transfer window. BUT if he does regain his form at Gatafe and bangs in 30 goals, that may make some of the big guns think twice. In this scenario we sell him for mega £££ which will enable us to buy a great replacement, whilst at the same time seen to be doing the right thing by the club and the kid himself. Could be a very screwed move.

Oh my days you lot are doing my head in! Talk about glass half empty - you’re more depressing than going to a party but having to drive! Jeez, we’re 3 games in and if you haven’t noticed, none of our competitors are setting the world on fire. Get a grip!
