Not posted a rumour before but here goes. A work colleague's girlfriend works in a high end nursery where a few United players put their kids. If they want to stop their childs care they need to give 3 months notice. Pogba as yet has not given notice, Phil Jones's might be leaving, depending where his next club is. (Jones is on £270k a week, he should be embarrassed) . Also 1 possible in coming and the name being banded about is Raphael someone.

1.) 29 Apr 2021 17:43:14
Great stuff. There's been nothing like this for ages.

2.) 29 Apr 2021 18:21:38
Who doesn't love a rumour, Nice one!

{Ed077's Note - By Jones, if the OP means Phil Jones then he isnt on 270k. No chance.}

3.) 29 Apr 2021 21:12:47
Lol not a chance Jones is on 270k a week.

4.) 30 Apr 2021 07:00:45
Because the player would worry over losing a few bob failing to give notice. Poor dear must be skint.

{Ed077's Note - come on that was the part that made the whole rumour "fun"

5.) 30 Apr 2021 07:58:44
270 pound a week, he meant ed.

6.) 30 Apr 2021 08:14:32
Still over paid Angel😂.

7.) 30 Apr 2021 10:27:39
Why is Phil Jones putting his kids in nursery, he could be a stay at home dad with the amount of spare time he has.

8.) 30 Apr 2021 13:18:58
Classic put a smile on my face this thread.

James Garner not involved in the U23's on Monday. Hopefully he's finally getting his chance Thursday?

1.) 23 Oct 2019 05:22:54
Matic is injured and will be out for a while. Pogba isn't fully fit either.
So Garner could get his chance this week.

2.) 24 Oct 2019 06:08:13
Good luck to him if he does 👍🏻.

Maybe Rui Faria was the brains behind Jose. His 1st season without him and he's looked clueless. Completely devoid of ideas.

1.) 18 Dec 2018 13:20:50
Faria was Jose's assistant when he was sacked at Chelsea.

21 Jul 2016 17:54:03
Squad numbers released, interestingly no numbers 2 or 6.

1.) 21 Jul 2016 18:16:02
Martial changes from 9 to 11 and Ibrahimovic gets 9. 6 for Pogba?

2.) 21 Jul 2016 18:23:50
Fabinho 2
Pogba 6
Hopefully a new CB takes 13, either that or takes 5 off Rojo.

{Ed004's Note - Do people think we need a new RB? I'd prefer an established centre back or another midfielder before we went for a RB. I'm happy with Mensah (think he needs to play), Darmian and Valencia}

3.) 21 Jul 2016 18:51:56
I'd prefer a new CB, preferably a top CB. If we sign Pogba and follow it it with a top notch CB it would be the icing on the cake.

4.) 21 Jul 2016 20:25:24
I imagine that if we are In for Fabhino then we will be looking to Inject width at pace from our fullbacks. Shaw and Fabhino could be an electric combination.
Would still like a CB but I really am liking the moves we Have made this summer.

5.) 21 Jul 2016 23:42:02
We need a rb that has offensive output. Damian is quite bland when it comes to going forward and everything last year was down the left side. Have not seen much of fabinho to have a view but can understand why we are maybe looking to improve in that area.

6.) 22 Jul 2016 06:56:14
I must admit I would like to see another CB come in, I don't know if we will get one or who could be available if we were in the market - I know a lot of people don't agree but I think Garay is still a good option.

I hope i'm wrong but I don't get all the optimisim about Phil Jones suddenly becoming iron man because we have a new manager-hes had 2 new managers recently and is still perma injured - the lad seems to be cursed with a body that will let him down time and again unfortunately - I can see Jose will look at him in training and think he is handy I will keep him . but then how reliable is he?

Lastly, very pleasantly surprised to see Fabinho is 6ft 2 . didn't realise that, if we get him its about time we got a bit of height in there.

7.) 21 Jul 2016 23:49:58
Ed004 I just posted it because of all the links. I'm personally a fan of Darmian and would like to see him and Fosu Mensah battle it out for the RB spot. I also agree that a CB and CM are crucial and other areas should only be an afterthought once we have addressed these two areas.

Reus has signed a contract extension with dortmund

1.) It just means they can get more money for him when they sell him

{Ed007's Note - It was to do with removing a clause from his deal.}

2.) 11 Feb 2015 11:46:09
Ed007 do you believe he will still leave? I think the lad bleeds yellow and black and will stick it out for a few more years.

{Ed007's Note - I think he will end up at Madrid or Bayern Munich this summer.}

3.) I think the only way he could have ended up at BM is if he was out of contract like Lewandowski was or he had a buyout clause like Goetze did. Now there's neither I suspect Bayern are out of the running. My money is on Real Madrid.

Villa interested In a loan deal for him, as a midfielder.

Martial is lazy when he hasn't got the ball. There is no movement from him. He just stands there with his shoulders slumped looking fed up, his body language is awful. I think this is why Jose states he has to do more to earn his place.

I'm going as well on Saturday Eric79, and it will be interesting to gauge the mood, wasn't bad last time I was there (WBA 2-0) Still quite a few seats left. Might be co-incidence as it's the last Saturday before Christmas or, are fans starting to turn their backs?
Looking forward to battering the canaries 0-0.

Borthwick-Jackson didn't look out of his depth in the 20 minutes he played on Saturday when he replaced Rojo and, he was up against Sessegnon who was their best player and a constant threat. Tuanzebe was on the bench the week before so, there is obvious belief in them. Shaw will be back before the season's out. Why spend on a left back when we need strengthening in other areas. Mane would be an excellent buy as he's unpredictable and offers something different to what we have. Mata is a lovely player but he's not a right winger as he can't beat people for pace and needs to play more central.

antmany2k. I went to the Bruges game and Blind is far better than he is given credit for, reads the game very well, good distribution and doesn't panic. Smalling was very good again and has improved immensely, Rooney was better and it always takes him a few games to get going. Januzaj and Depay were a constant threat, Shaw looks leaner and fitter, Darmain looks a steal,the bench is stronger as proven when Hernandez and Fellaini and Bastian came on. The only chances Bruges had were from sloppy back passes.If you watch the games on TV you only see what the camera points at and not the whole game

He was man of the match for me yesterday. As Jose bought them both he must see them as the future pairing. Similar age so, a long term one too.

Stand, I don't know if you go to games or not but Matic is much better than he is given credit for. If we aren't pressing high up the pitch then he can't. When we do he is 20/ 30 yards in their half. He is more than a holding player. When he receives the ball he always looks forward first. More often than not we are static up front so, his passes are either sideways or backwards. he has probably been our most consistant player. Never dynamic or, run a game but, break up play and keep the ball.

{Ed0333's Note - was he bought to press?

AJH, I remember all that and funnily enough at the Brighton game we were talking about the lads selling snacks. Chipmunk crisps and Bovril. Great days and a lot more enjoyable. Bring back the Doc i say.

He has the best 1st touch in the league. Great ball in for the 1st goal and his control for the 2nd goal on Saturday was superb, high ball coming over his shoulder and he killed it. Lingard seems to have learned from him with his constant movement.
