I know it's not a big game, but what would be your starting lineup for fulham on Sunday?

bayindir - i know he cost us the game against arsenal, but his distribution was actually brilliant.
yoro, de ligt, shaw - looked our defence did look really good against arsenal, and despite (according to German) de ligt carrying a fridge on his back he was, imo, along with mbeumo and cunha, mufc's player of the match.
amad, casemiro, bruno, dorgu - will need to start amad for more attacking threat and midfield will prob get exposed but still best midfield pairing.
cunha, mbeumo - goes without saying
sesko - needs to get his first start.

open to other opinions.

IMO it’s big headed to say it’s not a big game. Every game this is big for us. Home or away it’s a big game. We need wins to gain momentum ergo every game is big. In terms of team, I would probably agree with your team but could argue for Sesko on the bench with mount playing and then sub. It’s tough for Mount as he looked good on Sunday v Arsenal but you can’t spend £200mill on a front 3 and not start them all when match fit.

I know the boss is sticking with 3-4-3, but I would like to see what a 4-2-3-1 combination of Mount, Mainoo, Cunha, Bruno, Mbeumo and Sesko could do, genuinely think they would be devastating going forward.

How is it not a big game?

We've just seen a team performance against a genuine title contender and came unstuck only because of a mistake.

On Sunday we play a team who finished last season 4 places and 12 points better than us, a team who conceded the same but scored 10 more.

We've a new front 3 and a rejuvenated Mount. We need to see how we do against a less expansive team with a lower block.

It's 100% a big game, put the wally back.

As for the lineup, I'd expect to see much the same to start.
Cunha to start again up front, but I hope Mount is swapped with Fernandes to add energy to the midfield.

I agree with that ork Mount impressed me and I'm really hoping he can stay fit and get a good run of games and hopefully become a regular in the team.

5.) 20 Aug 2025 21:19:59
I would argue that we came unstuck not putting the round thing in that stringy thing more than we did by conceding a goal.

We will cop goals against us all year. Simple math. We need to score more!

6.) 20 Aug 2025 23:11:57
I would like to see sesko with cuenha and Mbweumo

Then play a midfield three of Mount mainoo and Bruno with each of those three have strict instructions to make sure that at least one of them to sit as a defensive shield when one or two of them goes forward. They should take it in turns to attack.

Defence to be de ligt Yoro dorgu and Amad

Onana in goal.

I am not sure the only thing wrong was making a mistake and letting in a goal Ork, did you not notice that we also did not score, so even without the mistake we hardly win.

I would say it’s a huge game even bigger than Arsenal game because let’s be fair no one really honestly thought before the match we win that, against Fulham we are expected to win and if we don’t the knives will certainly be out, because nothing will have changed from last season by losing against these sort of teams, so it’s huge game, the team will roughly be the same because way RA spent he not really got any other choices in Midfield or Defence, because he got to start his 200 million front line, never in a million years in Bruno not playing…. I doubt Mainoo does so others will get shoehorned in to the side.

8.) 21 Aug 2025 06:33:33
Salford I'd add Shaw or Heaven into that defence to bring us up to 11 players ;-)

9.) 21 Aug 2025 08:35:28
Not a big game? Wazzock!

10.) 21 Aug 2025 11:05:48
Mount seems to be getting a lot of love in recent weeks with his pre-season/ Arsenal performances and rightly so. However including him means going doing this false 9 route, and more importantly leaving Sesko or a natural no.10 out. So for me Mount probably isn't a starter, at least until we've decided Sesko wasn't the answer lol. I'd personally be more inclined to be fitting Mainoo in, but the problem remains with midfield. In order to accommodate all our new toys Bruno has to go there, where he's a problem, and we don't have the right player to go alongside him. For the next game I'd change Dalot for Diallo and Mount for Sesko.

Also, mostly why players struggle in pl is because of the physical side and pace.
He has got both in abundance.

Big fan of Felix Nmecha
He is good at passing as well as being very solid defensively.

To get somewhere this season, we need to win a good run of games in the easy runs of games.
With the toughest part of the season now behind us, we can hope to build a bit of momentum to get into the top 8.

I don't think he's been selfish but maybe has lost a bit of confidence.
I didn't think he looked bad exactly in the Chelsea game, but rather he had hardly any chances to affect the game.
When he gets a regular run of games in the same position, rwb it seems, he should gain a bit of his form back.
He also always works hard so i think selfish is not a good way to describe him.

I think 3-1 win.
city will press high and leave gaps in behind for mbeumo, amad, dorgu, and potentially sesko to exploit.
Mbeumo, Amad, and fernandes to score.
