Is it time for Giggs to leave?

He is a legend and will be loved forever by everyone who supports United, but if he is going to become a manager should he leave and manage another club to show what he can do?

I think for him to prove himself in the eyes of the fans he should go to a club, Swansea perhaps. In the eyes of the club maybe they already see something in him.

2.) 06 May 2016 09:49:54
Why would Swansea, the EPL club Swansea take on a manager with no experience? It's a bit of an insult to Seansea to assume they would have him.

3.) 06 May 2016 11:32:57
Why would united an epl club take him on with no experience?

4.) 06 May 2016 11:43:43
Rewz - I agree in essence but do believe that one of the clubs at the tail end would give him a shot.

You say that it's ridiculous to assume that a Premier League club like Swansea would give a man with no managerial experience the managers post; but from what the Eds have said in the past that appears to have been our plan at one point or another.

I mention this not to disagree - but to instead point out just how clueless those in charge at Old Trafford really are!

5.) 06 May 2016 12:02:40
Not really an insult is it? They made Gary Monk manager with zero managerial experience so probably would be interested.

6.) 06 May 2016 18:28:14
I think giggs needs to grow up and start behaving in his personal life before we even consider him.
Personally, I wouldn't touch him until he's proved himself and changed his wayward ways.

7.) 06 May 2016 19:44:13
He should never be considered due to his personal / legal goings on. He is not to be trusted and the board will see this also 😆😆.

8.) 06 May 2016 20:53:02
I just said Swansea because for Giggs to prove himself at a club who is mid table pushing top 10 is likely to challenge his credentials, laudrup and Monk both risks as Giggs would be but going to the championship or a relegation threatened club isn't going to help him. He's from Cardiff makes sense to me anyway ha.

9.) 06 May 2016 21:00:46
Cardiff have just moved their manager upstairs. Managing your hometown club in the Championship for a couple of years, get them into the playoffs without the inevitable scrutiny of the premier league would do him the world of good, then move onto a mid table premier league club, possibly win a cup and proving himself before taking on United.

We have to forget about the Guardiola comparisons, Guardiola had Messi and Iniesta, we have a nucleus of talented youngsters that in four/ five years time could be world beaters, that would be the best time for him to take over.

Alves has signed a new deal at Barca, are United still interested in Clyne from Southampton or are there other possibilities?

stevetrom

1.) 09 Jun 2015 12:48:19
Clyne's value has just gone up a few million!! As usual, players using us to get more wages.
Lets hope Woodward can get the proper deals done quickly.

2.) 09 Jun 2015 13:50:52
Well Alves used Milan for getting a better contract not us.

If we win tonight we will go above Spurs in to 5th place, how is that a relegation dog fight?

Why is the Europa League treated with such contempt?

The old UEFA Cup and Cup Winners Cups were treated as important trophies, just below the European Cup but still well worth winning.

Remember the winners of the Europa not only get a place in the Champions League but they will be in pot 1 so should get a, relatively, friendly draw.

Why do people always quote the price paid for a player when commenting on their performance?
The money pays has nothing to do with the ability or performance of the player, and it wasn't your (or my) money.

Maguire has improved our defence, so he is a good signing.

The trouble with VAR will never go away in football.

In Rugby the players, coaches, fans and pundits accept the referees decision. In football they don't so it doesn't matter what changes you make players, coaches, fans and pundits will blame VAR when a decision goes against them.

Most decisions are subjective so are not right or wrong just in the opinion of the officials.

Why do many people want every player to run a round like a headless chicken flying into tackles all over the pitch?

Pogba is never going to be that player but he has the skills to do far more.

OK, hes's not in the best of form at present but the same can be said of the team in general. So what? get behind your team and do what a supporter is supposed to do - support!

I think Vardy came 6th?

Not bad seeing as he wasn't playing in ECL.
