Well, luckly we won. That's the most and the only positive thing about this game.
Managed to beat a rival, finally! 4-4-2 is not a formation for us and we need to play a lot better than that.

I hope we can see moves in January.

Happy we got it.

Nick, that was a very good team performance. Give the lads the credit they deserve. There was nothing lucky about that win, we should have had a penalty and Rooney missed a good chance. Did Arsenal have a shot today? I want to see us strengthen in January, but the lads were good today and fully deserved the win.

I thought we played well. they could have score one or may be two but we had our chances too.

Nick

Jeez man, have you banged your head? We were very controlled, lots of players played well, and we won against the for team in the league. Lucky? Give me strength

Syd, unfortunately some of our fans are more keen on having their opinions proved right, than actually giving the team some credit when it's due.

I don't often agree with you but in the main on this I do. There was a huge effort none more than from Rooney who should have silenced many of even his worst critics today. We worked very hard indeed and it made us very hard to beat, very pragmatic football. It has to be said we lacked quality and a bit of pace and verve in our play but we know that. Let's enjoy the win

Nothing lucky about that, they played with heart, passion and determination. We played with a purpose and every player played for the shirt.

I said and I repeat luckily we won a game against a rival. The interpretations are entirely your choice. I won't be explaining myself.

Happy we won.

Once we had got that goal we didn't need to open up. Imo had Jones stayed in midfield we would have bossed that second half too to be honest.

We always had the firepower, pace and quality on the bench in Januzaj and Hernandez to change it if we needed a goal, whereas it was telling that Arsenal had nobody coming on from the bench that could change the game or offer something different.

This is as good as it gets imo in a tight game. Moyes got it right tactically, their midfielders barely had a sniff. Sagna was their best outlet and that is really saying something. I said before the game we will tr to push them out wide and boss the box with our center backs which we did. Smalling had a great game. Jones and Rooney were fantastic.

The players were really up for it and didn't we all love that look on Sir Alex's face at the end in the stands?

Nick mate

You don't need to explain yourself. You said we can play a lot better than that and 442 is not for us. You also said the only positive thing is that we won. Come on mate, you must have been watching a different game to the rest of us.

Read the replies, it's not just me who has reacted to your post.

"Only positive thing about this game", "managed to beat a rival, finally", "we need to play a lot better than that".

Sorry Nick, but how else would anyone interpret your post?
