I appreciate you struggle to take on board a lot of things, after all, you are Manchester United. A name synonymous with winning, having the good fortune to have had a truly great manager in Alex Ferguson and winning a huge amount of trophies.

Now it is all about your history, a style you played or a great player you had and how you miss that or them but the world of football changes and you as a club are failing to keep up with it.

The latter part of SAF and his followers has seen little but mistakes, whilst quality players have moved elsewhere over those years none in reality have gone your way, left with the likes of Fellaini, Herrera, Mata etc or flops like Di Maria and at this moment Pogba. Have any of you actually seen him play to his supposed ability and more importantly is that ability better than say Silva, Ozil, Kante, Coutinho or numerous other quality midfielders In the premier league, irrelevant of the exact position they play, I'm simply talking quality.

So whilst the likes of De Bruyne, Sanchez, Costa, Kante, Sane, Ozil, Gundogan, Kroos, Modric, Bale, Suarez, Fabregas, Thiago etc, many if not all you have been linked with, have all gone else where you have bought badly.

Added to that the 3 managers and like it or lump it Mourinho failed with us and is clearly failing with you all leads to you still going backwards.

You have been guilty again of over hyping performances and players because it's what you want to believe rather than what you are actually seeing.

You cannot tell me that you didn't watch us vs City and see the gulf in quality from both those teams, the gulf in quality aside from that they lost to the football Liverpool, Arsenal and even Tottenham are playing in comparison to you.

Did you watch West Brom win, Crystal Palace win, Stoke win and think we are playing so much better football than them. You are not.

You have extolled the virtues of your side against a woeful Northampton Town, an awful Swansea and a weakened West Ham, weakened even further in the actual game by injury and you genuinely believe that is from playing quality football.

You state countless times that this is a banter site about opinions but mercilessly slaughter Beast because he has his eyes wide open as do others but it doesn't fit into the United way or ethos.

You have GDS2 giving everyone the opinion he believes they should have.

There is little doubt you have some quality but it simply isn't enough quality and your manager is only going to drag you further into the mire, he is toxic and I'm so glad he will never be at my club again. A horrible horrible man.

Marcellus I don't know if this is a wind up but it worries me that I can see a lot of sense in this post.

For a change MAZE no it's not a wind up just an honest opinion looking from outside in.

I think every United supporter will begrudgingly admit that there's a lot of work to be done and we're certainly in a transitional phase at the moment. But, like it or not Marcellus, we will be serial winners again. Must admit that Conte doing fantastic job though - wish we'd signed Kante!

I don't think anyone is saying we have played great football, just better football than last season. The results don't match up with the performances.

We can't compare ourselves to other clubs as we have our own road to walk. Other teams are ahead of us atm, and we have allowed that to happen. But we can't make up that ground in a couple of months, we can't solve it by just spending money. The club needs direction, consistency and investment not just financial but time and effort.

Not sure how you class Jose a failure.

Says a lot about your club if you class him a failure.

{Ed007's Note - Did a Chelsea fan really take the time to sit and write that length of post about Man Utd?}

Jose is not a failure in any way and he will be embedded in CFC history as one of the greatest!

The rot started when the Glazer's took over and saddled us with £600m in debt. SAF did wonders holding it together but we failed to replace any of our stars with equal quality, nor to develop and/ or hold on to any of our academy. The sale of Ronaldo presaged what was to come.

Tom Cleverley is a symbol of what our youth development had become. Couple that with the club's arrogance in trying to buck the evolving transfer business models. In this respect one name says it all: Bebe. We were conned then and we've been being conned since. Mata, Fellaini? The transfer market has been a disaster painted against a bacground of 4 completely different managers with different styles and philosophies.

That said. I do believe we have been playing better and, crucially, more entertaining football this season despite the point count. And I'm prepared to give Jose until the end of the season before coming to a final judgment. Given the depth of the malaise that's the least we can do. It's all very well for you to come on to this site now that you're doing well again (having all but disappeared last year), but bear in mind how much easier Chelsea and Liverpool's tasks are with no European football.

You are no doubt being flattered by the Leicester City affect and a lucky result on Saturday following what should have been an early David Luis red card and the miss of the season by de Bruyne.

Marcellous comes on this page criticising our club, "being nice on the way up" (ffs), calling probably Chelsea's most successful manager a horrible, horrible man. But being nice on the way up? What's marcellous's view on fabregas'slap yesterday? More importantly what's marcellous'so view on the whole Gary Johnson affair regarding Chelsea? All nice on the way up? Such a hypocritical post I don't even know why I'm bothering to even reply.

It's a fact supasub, if you give it large when you're winning you are leaving yourself open to getting both barrels on the way down however long that lasts. Have you not endeavoured to give me stick after are woeful showing at the hands of Mourinho who what ever way you look at it he failed on many many fronts.

I loved the original Mourinho I loathe this whining moaning version.

Fabregas was embarrassing, even looking back to check the barrier before falling over it. He's got away with the slap, plenty do, doesn't mean I like it.

As for the cover up, your efforts to bring that into the discussion says little for you.

If people have covered for a dispicable crime I hope they throw the book at them. There are no excuses for that on any level.

Why are you so bitter fella.

Your club paying £50k is an attempted cover up. Your club. And you attack new Mourinho but not old Mourinho. You have no credibility changing your arguments, and never even posting on your own page.

Marcellus. How on earth can you or any supposed Chelsea fan call mourinho a failure. Do you not have any respect for the guy? Before he came, you lot hadn't won anything of note in over 50 years. Trust me, I've been there and seen it.
Mourinho won the league with these players 18 months ago, you seem to have forgotten that. He saw something was not right at the beginning of last season and called for the players to respond. And some turned on him. Rest is history.
I was delighted you won on Saturday as I would take any team over City or the scourers. But you rode your luck, City could and should have scored 4 in the first half. But you played well in 2nd half and ended up winners. Sometimes, it needs luck to win these matches, aguero missing two sitters. De Bruyne missing an open goal from 3 yards. It's working at the moment and good luck.
It's not working for United at present, we are playing well apart from two matches but you're right that we are miles behind the likes of Chelsea city arsenal spurs and even the scourers. We will give mourinho time and see what happens.
Enjoy the rest of the season.
