It is simply human error. The VAR room thought the onfield decision was a goal, therefore the "are you happy with that" and them saying "yes" multiple times is because they thought they were making the right decision.

I'm sure a change in how they communicate will be introduced to use more concise language, but all it is is human error. Speaking of human error, be angry at Jones for going over the top of the ball and rightfully getting sent off, or Jota who already being booked hacked at the back of an oppostions legs stopping a counter attack.

As the United v Brighton decision, in the rules it states the game can be restarted after the whistle has blown to review a decision. If it happened to Liverpool, it would have the same outcome. Using a decision that rightfully went Uniteds way as some sort of Gotcha shows how little you actually know of the rules.

A goal chalked off in the first half wrongly and your fan base and manager want the game replayed, absolute nonsense from everyone involved. Like when you won the league and wore "This means more" shirts, someone everything that happens to Liverpool happens in a vacuum. No other club has been on the end of poor VAR decisions.

Grow up and move on!

I think we should restart the whole season and replay games, there are about 4 pens we should have had and changed those games, I am with klop klop the genius:)

I imagine if Liverpool lose out on the league by a couple of points that game will go down in Premier League infamy.

AC Milan are exploring options of the 2005 Champions League Final vs Liverpool being replayed. They’re claiming Jerzy Dudek was off his line during the penalty shootout.

To be fair though, at what point do clubs say that enough is enough.

VAR has sucked the life out of football and the officials are useless at using it.

Are clubs supposed to just keep accepting apologies and hope one day they get it right?

that would be a massive slip up spenno.

I think leaving it to ref to interpret things their own way has killed things.

Look at all the handballs, one is given and one is not and they look the same. Why does arsenal get a pen on the Romero handball and united does not.

if anything the shot by us had venom and the arsenal shot was scuffed and was going to be saved. How is pellistri vs Bayern not a pen and a red, he goes through him to get to the ball. I can keep going. Wolves also should have had a pen against us. But I reckon one call our way so far this Season and 5/ 6 gone against us.

The refs on the pitch are poor and there is no consistency at all. They card players for something in one match but in the next game the ref let's the same type of foul go without issuing a card.

We would not need Var to chime in on everything if there was a simple rule, if it hits your hand its a handball.

If its an intentional foul its a yellow and you don't need to see a rugby tackle vs a clever clipping of heels from behind to say that's a clear yellow. both achieve the same thing with intent.

When you leave things to people to interpret you get human error.

Liverpool fans and klop are what they are. Two seasons ago I reckon they were gifted 5 to 6 pens their way and 5 or 6 not given against them.

Didn't Brentford have a goal awarded last year against Arsenal Scouse John?

VAR drew the wrong lines and allowed a late equaliser to stand. The game finished 1-1. Who knows what those extra 2 points do to Arsenal in their title challenge?

Nobody asked for a replay. Arsenal fans didn't, their manager didn't. They complained and moved on because errors happen.

Reading your page over the last week has been embarrassing. Absolutely ridiculous take after ridiculous take. But please don't stop, we need some entertaining with the start we've had.

Fans banging on about the Onana challenge against wolves, (onana who faceplanted the players shoulder and made no contact with his hands, a collison) . In the very same game earlier on Antony chips Sa in goal and get's completely taken out by Sa. Did'nt even get looked at. The ball had already been played just like the Onana inceident.
Those incidents already evened out during the game and no one realises. I expect most fans comment and didn't even see any of it.

It should have been a penalty Supasub. Onana cleaned him out when the ball was gone.

I agree completely though, we've been on the end of some really poor decisions this year. 3 or 4 penalties alone we should have gotten.

Mumbles, I’m not really bothered about a replay the game’s finished it is what it is. I’m pointing out how opposing fans are saying we are ( I’m saying we as a Liverpool fan we’re all tarred with the same brush) ridiculous for asking for a replay but yet a lot of those same fans was quite happy to ask to replay a full season. I don’t know what parts was embarrassing on our page but the outcry regards pgmol, corruption etc I’m a believer of. Any organisation that sets its own rules and punishments an also police’s itself should be open to suspicions. Are we so arrogant to believe that our officials are the only ones who can’t be influenced ( Spain, Italy fifa etc) ? , but players can . There is too much money and power involved to be anything other than suspicious. All fans should be united and with us in demanding change. A independent body to run var. and the same again to police the pgmol. Who for crying out loud are policed by Howard Webb the same fella who wouldn’t give any opposing team a decision at your gaff because he wanted to be in fergies good books! Talk about “can’t see the wood for the trees”. Happy weekend lads.

Scouse

Jurgen Klop is a clown and always angling and working an agenda. His latest stunt is nothing more than that and why waste time on this. Get over it and get on with things. If your fans are silly enough to repeat what he says or does that's on your fans and no one else.

It was indeed a terrible decision, but not just agains Liverpool.

It is also a bad decision for almost every other team. What if Newcastle end 5th, 1 point behind Spurs? And if Spurs drew the game, as they easily could, they would be behind Newcastle.

They (refs) have too much protection. They could cost any team milions with their decisions, but hey, an apology will do it!

We had too many decisions that went against us, if it was 50/ 50, I'd say ok, but atm it seems more like 10/ 90.

The Jota yellow card thing is a joke too. He was booked after he should have received a yellow just after he got on the pitch. He was warned. Committed another foul.
Then eventually got a soft one due to an accumulation in which he still made contact accidently with his knee. He then slides in, simple, don't give the referee an excuse.
This is all getting ridiculous, it won't ever be error free. Problem is we get footage and pundits and the media picking and choosing what they want to look at.
If it involves the Left back of Luton they aren't interested. They want quotes and exposure anywhere in the media to justify their jobs and nearly everyone gets emotional and falls for it along with people with very short memories.

Mumbles, we've all moved on mate. You surely know full well it wasn't a serious call for it to be replayed. Doesn't fit your agenda though does it? And if you think Jota's soft trip for the 2nd yellow was a hack then it's because you're getting too used to watching the limp efforts of your own bunch of weak-minded players week in week out. Glad you have so much faith in PGMOL and I'm sure you won't be posting anything if any decisions go against you v Brentford. God forbid any of your games got replayed - imagine having to sit through that garbage twice!

06 Oct 2023 17:44:21
Mumbles, I wouldn't have been surprised had it been given, so what about when Sa completely took out Antony after he chipped him? Is that not a penalty because it gets no clicks and doesn't involve big enough names?

Scouse, c'mon. Anybody asking for replaying the season was tongue in cheek. A bit of banter. No serious football fan wanted it or expected it. We're all happy enough knowing there's an asterisk beside your title win ?.

Noucamp c'mon back lad. Do you really think klopp thought we had any hope of a replay or just putting pressure on those who decide? We can’t just keep accepting “ sorry” as a excuse. Condolences to fergie at this time.

Shouldn’t TAA have been sent off against Newcastle? No chance Liverpool won that game with 10 men, you won some you lose some.

I’m confused by people saying scrap VAR because of it, you know without VAR the decision would still have been wrong because the linesman gave it as offside.

GDS2 - Liverpool did win the game with 10 men, Virg got sent off in the first half.

So 9 men then, which you’ve proved you can’t do, so replay that game as well.

Awk Mumbles that did happen alright - Arsenal had apologies from the PGMOL which represented 5 points lost - they lost the league by a 5 points

Everton had an apology following the Rodri handball. City got 3 points instead of 1 and won the league over Liverpool by a point

In terms of a replay - can't and shouldn't happen, everybody will want a replay if things don't go their way in a game - Klopp in fairness said that

The Spurs/ Liverpool match was just a whole host of abysmal decisions:
- The goal - been covered already so much
- Jones red card - if the ref had gave a red most would have accepted it tbh, but he gave a yellow, VAR sent him to the screen but there wasn't the usual replays shown of multiple angles, instead it was a still showing the worst part of the contact - very strange
- Jota red card - got a yellow first of all for the fella falling over? The 2nd, yeah made no contact but on a yellow and you throw yourself in like that? Very stupid.
- The guy that tripped over gestured at the ref to book Jota - is that not a bookable offence? He was actually on a yellow too so should have been sent off - then it would have been 10 v 10

Awk loads of incidents in that one match were an issue but every team, apart from City weirdly, are screwed over every week. VAR was brought in to help officials when they have missed something or made a mistake, instead it is being used to back up those wrong decisions and Dermot Gallagher stands up each week and explains why, according to the rules, the correct decision was made. The following week though when an identical decision happens and a different call given, it too, bizarrely, was the correct decision.

The focus is just on Liverpool and it really shouldn't be - when are people going to hold the refs accountable? The PGMOL have made 14 apologies already for 'errors' - that's 2 every game week and what, that's it? No plan in place to fix these 'errors' and stop them from happening again?

And they are major issues that are being discussed such as the Spurs game, the Wolves game etc, etc but what about other issues? I really hate offsides - how does it take 5 mins to work out if someone is offside?

They draw minute lines to see if a big toes is off? 5 mins later we get an answer? Surely just one still, in line when the ball was played would be enough? If he's on or off it should be obvious - if it needs these precise lines etc to determine a big toe is off then it is hardly clear or obvious is it and the benefit goes to the attacker - simples and what 10 seconds or so?

The VAR and officiating is just sucking the life out of the game. It has gotten to the point nobody knows whether to celebrate a goal or not. Is it a penalty? Is it a handball? Who knows anymore, what's given one week isn't even looked at the next week so honestly nobody has a clue anymore - it's wild.
