Who do you think would be a better fit in our midfield, Strootman or Carvalho? Just a thought. Vidal would be the best, but I don't think he'll move.

1.) Our midfield needs a complete overhaul. On that basis it comes down to who is the better player. At the moment it's Strootman. In the long run it will probably be Carvalho.

2.) Why are people jumping on the Strrotman band wagon again? He's injured and will be injured for a few more months so there is no point even thinking about him as a potential target. Carvalho and Vidal are two very different types of players. the former is an out and out defensive mid, but has great potential to grow into a more rounded CM, while the later is already the finished article and probably in the top 5 and maybe even top 3 in the world in terms of central midfielders. IMO the best fit for us would be Carvalho/Blind and Vidal/Fabregas. two are definitely needed!

3.) Strootman and W. Carvalho are different players. Personally I think Kroos and Carvalho this window and Strootman in January when fit. Gradually over hauling the midfield, Fletcher, Cleverley and Fellaini to be replaced by those three?

4.) 11 May 2014 21:43:28
Carvalho however isn't currently recovering from a longterm injury. Strootman realistically won't be an option until summer 2015 and much depends on if roma want to sell after getting him back to fitness.

5.) I really not a big fan of strootman there ate much better players out there.
And that was before he done his knee

6.) He's expected to be fit by August Andy.

7.) Strootman is so average and you lot need to watch players more often than reading the funny papers.

Just wondering is it just me or do others want Bayen to loose to Dortmund which would lead to Guardiola being sacked (it's a high probability). Would love to see Guardiola being hired for the Utd job. Tiki taka may well come in and Guardiola can make the team from scratch(almost), get the players he wants and hopefully attract the biggest of players.

{Ed004's Note - Wouldn't want Pep tbh}

City, Chelsea or Everton?

Pep has never built a team. He inherited a very good base at Barca with a top class academy where he could promote some top class players and he had messi. But they got found out and have no plan b. And he had a poor record in the transfer market.

At Bayern he again inherited a very good side, with a top academy and some top players bought for him. But no messi and again no plan b.

Arsenal are often called the Barcelona of the premier league and Wenger plays in that style. Trophies won in 8 years?

Pep is last of my list.

3.) Byron, we use that slogan for the Indian Cricket Team as well ;)

4.) I would be pretty shocked if Pep were sacked this season but I guess stranger things have happened. Not sure Pep would be first on my list as the new United manager, but that being said I do think he's quality and I like his philosophy. I do love how after his Champion's League exit everyone is calling him a poor manager all of a sudden.

5.) Please no, not tika taka. I'd rather watch live knitting.

I don't think getting a striker right now should be a priority. We have Rooney and I reckon we can get the best out of RVP next season. We all know this season has been a turmoil with RVP and other squad member clashing with Moyes. Our priority should be getting quality defence line. Hummels and Varane would be a replica of the one of the best defence lines we had (Vidic and Ferdinand at their prime). LB I believe Shaw is the man. But the price tag is preposterous! But yes he's proven in PL and getting Shaw would mean no LB for the next 6-7yrs minimum. For some reason Smalling hasn't been very convincing and Jones is injured half the time. Rafael I believe is a good RB, so we don't need to spend there. Coming to mid, I feel another major overhaul is required. Modric, Di Maria and Carvalho would be great additions.
