hi guys,
Perreira(spelling?) has made the bench a couple times this season + some game time vs MK Dons. I'd never really heard of him until this season so could someone tell me what kind of player he is and what is his primary or most effective position. thanks in advance.

RedDevilChris

1.) He is part of that new breed of attacking midfielders who can play a bit deeper ( Fabregas, Koke, Iniesta, arguably Herrera). He has been brought up as a number 10, but many have considered him to be a future 8 ( including some of the coaching staff ) when he learns to stamp his authority on a game. He still tends to disappear a bit too often and seems invisible without the ball, but once he has it he can work wonders.

His passing is top notch if a wee bit inconsistent, his shooting and freekick abilities up there with anyone in our system, his tackling is significantly better than what you'd expect from a player of his type ( his sliding tackles are a thing of beauty ). All in all, he's a more inconsistent version of Januzaj.

Agree with Mick on that however he's not as capable as Januzaj running with the ball at his feet. It'll be interesting to see what happens with him because he'll very rarely get a game in the first team this season given the position he plays and the lack of games we'll have because of our early exit from the capital one cup.

Long time reader, first time poster
just wondering if anyone knows a way that I can watch a replay of the united-roma game? (online, if possible)

RedDevilChris

1.) If you torrent you can find an uploaded copy of the game @ the pirate bay

2.) Just search in YouTube. make sure you click on filter and search videos longer than 20m.

3.) Chris - I'd just watch the goals, everything else was shocking imo, save yourself 85 mins. We looked exactly what we are, a team trying to play a new system, trying to follow management instructions but with so many changes it is difficult for us. Plus the typical inept displays by the usual crew. Rooney had a 5 minute devastating spell for the goals though which was very encouraging.

Thanks for the help guys I eventually found the full game on youtube on a channel that had last nights game and also the la galaxy game which I hadnt seen the score either

The beast,

Some people probably want to judge the performance for themselves rather than just watch 5 minutes and be told by someone how badly we played to be 3-0 up at half time. I thought Roma looked a good side and we looked like we struggle in the conditions, but to suggest a 3-2 win was that poor is ridiculous.

6.) GDS2 - It was tongue in cheek, obviously people want to see for themselves. I'm just saying aside from the goals it isn't worth going out of your way to watch, like most things people should judge for themselves.

after watching last nights game I thought we played quite well, defending high up the pitch is something we didn't see much of last season and quite a few times roma had to resort to kicking the ball long (although one of them did go in lol)
I like the look of Reece James although I don't think he's ready/good enough to challenge Shaw for first choice left back but I could see him being a useful squad player a few years down the line

8.) Oh my there's two of us
