Just wondering who everyone would prefer between Ozil and Mata? And considering that they are similar players why didn't we go harder for Ozil at the beginning of the season?
1.) Mata. he was cheaper, slighlty quicker, proven in the premier league and has a much better cross and finish.
2.) Mata is not as creative as Ozil, but he is more productive and premier league proven. An overall better player imo

Similar players for similar prices maybe but only one was prem proven. that's the difference.

Mata for me. he has the titles. He knows how to win. has the language and prem experience, Ozil has won very little so far. Mata came across very well in his press conference, high level of intellegence and very articulate.
5.) 6 of 1 and half a dozen of the other if you ask me. But obviously now he's a red Mata is much better ;-)
