Harry Kane to United?
The story is out there, google it!
Personally I don't believe it. Got to be baloney Wondering if the eds have heard anything?

Bookies?

Yep Scholes. The bookies story.
Thought this would go to the rumours page!
There's got to be something dodgy going on.

Makes you laugh. they must have ran out of stories.
The "Stunning development" part made me laugh.

Reports seem to be surfacing that we have dropped our interest in Pedro and he now seems likely to move to Chelsea.
It seems a very strange time to pull out of a deal as there seemed to be genuine interest in the player from our side and the deal looked almost done. in fact it appeared 'almost done' for quite a long time.
I'm sure he would have strengthened our side but I'm not sure whether he would have been the best solution. Perhaps there are developments moving forward elsewhere? I certainly hope that is the case!
I'm not sure whether the eds or anyone else can shed any light on this?

FAO: GOOGLE.COM (TRANSLATIONS)
Dear Google,
I have been using the 'Google Translate' app for some time and I've been very pleased with the results. However, I've found a problem. When translating "De Gea" from Spanish to English the result is simply "Gea". Could I suggest you amend this to "God-like".
Yours faithfully,

"David de Gea to become the best paid goalie in the world on a £36 million deal". As this is being reported in one of the UK red top papers it's probably not true but, if it is, it is something that I think the majority of us would support. I, and virtually every Utd supporter would agree that DDG is one of those few select players that you break the bank to keep as they are fully capable of making the difference between winning and losing every match.
The temptation of going back to his home country and becoming a legend there must be huge but I hope he decides his future is at Old Trafford! He's developed so much since joining us and the sky is the limit!
I think most of us would push the boat out to keep hold of a player like DDG.
Fingers crossed!

The beeb are reporting that De Gea has dislocated a finger whilst training with the Spanish team. I think he's suffered a similar injury before and got over it quite quickly so fingers crossed. When will these injuries end eh? I guess it's just one of those seasons.
Also, if anyone has missed REDFAITH's excellent post further down the banter page I'd recommend giving it a read; an excellent assessment of the teams competing for the top positions and views on how it may all pan out.
I have to say that the roll Southampton are on and the confidence that they've built, and continue to build, makes them genuine competitors for the top 4 in my opinion. I honestly believe that the belief and spirit they have now will mean they continue to challenge the established hierarchy this season.
Anyhooo, have a read of REDFAITH's post. Excellent stuff.

Mumbles, the way I see it, he left when he realised that he couldn't do his job to the standard he believed was required. That's just my opinion but I think it's shared by quite a few others. In my eyes he easily belongs in the Legend category.
Each to their own though.

MH, you speak like a man who has had a few sherbets tonight, but damn it, I've had a few too! I actually enjoyed tonight's game and I think we should have got more from it! That's just the way the proverbial cookie crumbles!
What we saw tonight was much more 'Manchester United' than many of the previous displays we've seen. OK, we didn't get the result we all wanted but I find it difficult to fault the performance.
We're out of the CL but I'm pleased with the performance from the lads. That's all I can ask.
If only some of our earlier performances in this competition could have shown as much heart then we might be in a different position.
Enough said.

I think that the thing to remember is that they're both talented young players who can hopefully still develop and improve their game. Every team is made up of individual players of different standards. I don't recall ever seeing a team made up of just 'world class' players. My personal opinion is that the best teams generally tend to have at most just two or three players who really stand out and might be considered 'world class'. It is the entire squad who are able to play together and perform better than the sum of their parts.
Both Januzaj and Wilson have, at times, shown the ability to perform above what could be considered 'average' which I believe entitles them to be given opportunities to show what more they can achieve. Whilst they might not achieve 'world class' status in the majority of people's opinions, that doesn't mean that they can't improve the overall performance of the team.
However, I would agree that both require an improvement in certain elements of their games before securing positions in the team but perhaps changes elsewhere in the team could result in improved performances from both. We're obviously having trouble creating chances at the moment.
That's just my slightly pished thoughts on the matter.

Greater Manchester has a population of around 2.5 million whilst in 2012 the largest football follower survey of its kind found that Manchester United have an ADULT fan base of 659 million worldwide. I think it is fairly safe to say that most Manchester United supporters are from outside Manchester! :)
