I'm not saying anything of the such, but these are the kind of games that championship winning teams win. Something we didn't do enough of last season, play poorly and still win!

Again I'm not saying we are going to win the prem but looking back at SAF era, a lot of our games ended this way.

Olly has got you to second in the table. If you want to push on now is the time to say thank you Olly and good bye. He leaves as a legend who has given you something to build on and you get a proper manager to take you forward.
Myself? I have very deep pockets and will continue to source the best young players from around the globe and see where it takes us.

Huge huge result. who would have thought we’d be second after our first 6 games. 2020 what a strange year 🤷‍♂️.

Winning ugly without getting out of second gear against good opposition.

Of course we would all love to see great performances every game. The reality is this is our third game in seven days over Christmas. With another game in two days time. Everton managed by Ancelotti, Leicester who were second placed, a very good Wolves team and Villa (who beat Liverpool 7-2 earlier in the season) in three days time.

We have made the League cup semi, and climbed to second placed in the league all without getting out of second gear against good sides.

Performances would have been the icing on the top.

Winning ugly is a shine of champions they say. I take the 3 points however they come as Ken says. But without improvement these kind of matches will go the opposite way more often than not. We couldn't break down a well organised opponent and that was the case against Chelsea Palace Arsenal in our stadium too.
I am sorry but i didn't see a plan, no movement or quick transition. We were too slow and they took their positions and defend. We wait for a moment for magic and our players trying unsuccessfully to dribble past 4 players.
I am over the moon with the win but you will go nowhere with this performance. I wouldn't had a problem if that was one game but that's the norm.

shappy yet you hated it under jose. i am all for the points but the football is criminal. a wolves team who lost the last how many games. don't you think it was us making them look better than they are.

9 league games unbeaten, 7 wins and 2 draws. Away from is awesome, great comeback wins, average performance imtersorsed with short period of great attacking, and lately a few much more solid performances.

No team has won more and only Liverpool have lost fewer. 2nd highest scorers but it’s defence where we have been struggling conceding too many goals, only 6 teams have conceded more.

Despite last nights bore fest I am enjoying the ride, there will be plenty of ups and downs this season.

Dazw, I hated it under Jose because it was the same trudgid, boring, defend first attack never football for 90 minutes every game against all opposition.

Last night was not entertaining, but few games are over the Christmas period. That's always the same. There will be 30 games played between Christmas and the 2nd of January, 60 individual team performances. How many do you think will be great performances? How many simply good? The Christmas period is about getting results plain and simple. The difference between a few good results and a few bad ones can be the difference between lifting a team in the the top four or dropping them into the bottom four. UCL or relegation what will be the story of the second half of your league campaign.

Sir Alex was the master of using the Christmas period to either get us back in a title challenge or to push out in front and assert our dominance depending on whether we had a good or poor start to the season.

While Ole is a long way from Sir Alex, the idea could still hold true. A good spell over Christmas might see us actually have a title challenge and cement our place in top four, if we had a poor one we would have tumbled down the table and could be in 8th or 9th place now.
