Totally agree on Donny, can’t get a kick even if Fred is playing for the opposition. He’s a class midfielder who could be dynamite in a two. I really am sick of Ole looking gormless on the sidelines and making bad decisions.

To rub salt into the wounds, Lukaku scores almost immediately. Didn’t he play for us once?

DVB and Sancho starting, Greenwood pushed up top and the chances are its a much more attacking performance and puts them under the cosh.

Again, for all his nostalgic references to the United way and Giggsy, Keano, Becks, Fergie etc etc he is a very cautious manager first objective not to lose.

Bizarre team selection to say the least. Possibly issues behind the scenes we're not privy to but surely van De Beek has more to offer than Matic. Or Fred. And Martial is lacking match fitness. But still, we have younger players who are hungry to play. I just don't see that hunger in Martial. It's sad because when he's fit and up for it, he's a joy to watch.
Anyway, it's a point against Southampton. I really hate Southampton but they were up for it more today.
