Ed if you have a second or anyone who has some info i'm wondering if we are now or have we ever shown an intrest in marco reus. Iv read the posts and his name pops up as a potential target but I want to know if any actual intrest fron the club has being shown. His apparent 30 million pound release clause seems to be a great price for this sort of quality. On another note moyes is clearly interested in midfield players and his first two sigings are fellaini and mata meaning his first course of action is what every fan and pundit has being saying for years which is sort out the midfield something SAF failed to do for years. So giving the signings and the quality of them I am more than happy for moyes to take his time and get it right. Thanks in advance to those who reply.

{Ed002's Note - Forget the release clause. Chelsea, Juventus, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Arsenal showed an interest in Marco Reus before his return to Dortmund last year. Recent tentative approaches made by Chelsea and Manchester City have resulted in a "not for sale" response regardless of their being a release clause in his contract. Manchester City are likely to push again as Dortmund are still looking to Dzeko as a possible replacement for Lewandowski and will look to ease a deal through by offering favourable terms on the transfer or a contribution to his salary, but Reus is keen to stay where he is for now.}

1.) Thank you ed.appreciate the good work

002 its good to see you back mate. And if I may be so bold as to ask you why januzij (spelling) is being messed about this IMO is a no brainer to give him an improved contract an tie him down. But why are we dragging things out or are we not getting the full story. Thanks an it is good to have you back your not alone in wanting to take a stand against keyboard worriers and degenerates

CAIN {Ed002's Note - There will be considerations more than the money (which folks are obsessing about) which are in his mind. This is why one option he has is to run his contract down to the end of the year and look at the options that there are available in France and Italy. I expect it will be resolved with a new contract and an initial loan.}

CAIN

1.) Thanks ed but I for one feel more playing time with us is what he needs for the best possible development. I hope this issue is resolved soon as I predict him to be one of the very best out there and an ever better prospect than pogba and feel he could reach similar success as some of our better no 7s. He does remind me of the first time I seen ronaldo skinny skillful and confident just not world class as of yet. But as we seen wit Ronnie ease him in an watch him shine and grow to become a machine. And just for the record I really don't want him to go on loan I would much rather he be a squad member and show what he is worth when called upon. thanks again

CAIN

2.) He's already better than most of our wingers. I don't see a reason not to play him in the first team now.

I've not posted in a bit cause some of the hypothetical conversations have being a little desperate perhaps because of our lack of activity or the way we are linked wit every Tom dick and Harry sending people completely mad and putting the poor eds through hell. Anyway because of the signings we have already made plus some of our players performing wel at the World Cup I think confidence should be high going into the season and I feel a lot of posters on here feel more comfortable wit lvg at the wheel so this is what I wanna do I just wanna mention some of our better players and hopefully some of you can realise how much of a good team we have so here it goes. Rvp Rooney mata adnan DDG jones rafeal shaw Herrera fellaeni welbeck evra Hernandez Evans smalling Wilson. These are the players I really rate. Now if we can strengthen the obvious areas then we have a huge chance at the title.

Which United Players Performed at the World Cup? I can think of one. Even the purchases have not lol

Quick question I know no one likes to get into money but I have to ask if we have got 150 million to spend giving the targets we have being linked with will that be enough? Kroos=20-35 mill. Shaw=30mill. Reus =34mill leaving 50 million or so to bring in IMO another midfielder and a decent defender .?

{Ed004's Note - there will be a large number of departures. Potentially Hernandez, Rooney, Nani, Young, Anderson, Fellaini, Kagawa, Welbeck all rumoured to be potential departures and we will save loads on wages}

1.) Ed do u really think rooney will leave? if he does I just can't think of seeing him move abroad.

{Ed004's Note - No I can't}

2.) I'd sell him and if the reports r true that muller is unhappy, i'd sell rooney replace him with muller which can play upfront aswell as on the wings . you think itd be a good idea?. The only club I can see him go to is psg if they lose cavani and if van gaal sita rooney down and twlls him he doesn't have much of a role next yr.

just a thought guys.

{Ed004's Note - Muller won't leave}

3.) Apart from Rooney, I would probably agree with the probable departures, Edd04 mentioned.

I think 5 signings in the summer a some of the U-21's promoted, will give us the freshness the squad needs next season.
There are clearly too many players' who need to be moved on for one reason or the other.

4.) I'd say Hernandez, Nani, Young, Valencia, Anderson and Kagawa will headline the departures. I can see Welbeck staying, Zaha coming back into the fold, a midfield three will benefit Cleverley so he will stay. Not sure on Fellaini and not bothered either way, he isn't good enough but if he is a squad player then so be it.

5.) Thanks for the reply ed.

With muller not leavin rooney should get another year and see how he pans out under v.gaal, if it doesn't work out v gaal will do what's right. Anothet option would be move rooney into midgield like syd said.

{Ed004's Note - Personally I'd sell Rooney especially if PSG are interested at 35 mill. That there could go towards Reus etc}

6.) I'd love that to happen as Reus is one of my favourite players but I just can't see Rooney moving to france and be bothered to learn french, it will be a bit of a stretch for him. The only way that will happen if v.gaal sits rooney down and tells his role to him and rooney doesn't like it and then decides to leave because of lack of importance In the squad. This is all speculatuon because for all we know v.gaal might prefer rooney.

7.) Rooney doesn't really need to move to France to play for PSG. It's only a little longer than london by plane from where he is. To me PSG is the only realistic club Rooney can play for on the continent.
Him and a few bob for Cavani?

8.) Just wondering ed clubs can lose 45 million for financel fair play but if we went on a 150 million spending spree is there a possibility we could break ffp with the likes of ferdinand vidic evra others leaving and the revenue we bring in everyear could we cover the 150 million just want to know peoples thoughts

{Ed002's Note - No it doesn't work like that. I really don't want to get in to this.}

Embarrassed . yes. pissed off . definitely. confused. of course. From the kick off we never pressed the ball and never got into our stride. Moyes is made of tougher and its going to take time for things to come together. In all honesty there is blame to be laid at someone's feet and that is Ed Woodward. We need to strengthen so please get your finger out Ed your a joke .

CAIN

CAIN

1.) Cain, while I agree that Woodward is not flavour of the month with any of us. He didn't make that pathetic selection with young in the left, he didn't see it fit that a player who was voted German league player of the year twice should be sat on the bench for all our matches. He didn't pick young and giggs to play at anfield.
No, the transfer window is shut, and all blame for now, lies at the feet of Moyes and the players.
That performance today, together with the gutless performance at anfield, the boring and predictable play against Chelsea, lies with our manager, his team selection, his tactics, or lack of them.
Send lingard on loan while we play young? Come on. Is he belong serious?
Playing vidic and Rio five matches? Where is the rotation? If they carry on this way, they'll be knackered by the new year!
Sorry, Woodward has not covered himself in Gold, but our manager, his staff and the players are to blame for these performances.

2.) No midfeild . as you are aware the players that started wer not good enough well most of them either through fitness or shear laziness. Now what my beef is that none of the bench kagawa included would have stopped that onslaught or really changed the game at all because wer we need class and depth we have really yet to address so as clear as that has being Woodward done nothing to sort it and failed on all fronts leaving us wit an abundance of squad players and little class .if moyes had the right balance of class an depth we well could of turned the game on its head an avoided an embarrassing situation

Very pleased wit our second half performance fellaini is just what was needed to add steel. Januzij (spelling) is a very very special player his development will be very exciting to watch an for me is the most exciting player we have. Young played ok but his antics are embarrassing. Evra at one stage was playing beside RVP an had someone covering constantly I know they are a man down away from home and losing. look it wasnt a goal route but we won kept a clean sheet good day

Apparently this was agreed while moyes was in the hotseat. Well that's part of the story until I see him smiling with the shirt I'm skeptical!

Im sure if you asked mata his first choice would have been to stay at chelsea wit no jose. but i'm more than happy wit this and i'm sorry ed if I sound happy i'm just throwing you off the scent of desperation.

In all honesty Stevie Wonder could have seen fellaini coming. Mata is of course a different story but i'm a regular reader of this site for a few years now and no one ever predicted matas switch. And as for dante your kinda leaving the door open in both directions as what you have said here is pretty much wats being said in most tabloids. Is this person you know connected to the club in any way.

I think your right syd vidal fellani partnership could work very well. its amazing the time fletch had off wit his problem an in only a couple of games back he is still 10 times the player carrick is. if you think i'm bashing carrick wel your right he has no place on the team IMO.
