So Buttner has signed for Dynamo Moscow. I think the signing of a left back (Shaw) is pretty imminent.
1.) Buettner sounds very bitter that he's been forced out of the club.
I would agree that Shaw is looking very very likely now. Top signing.
2.) Buttner wasn't good enough and I don't know why we bought him.
3.) I actually quite liked buttner, he was never going to be the best left back in the world but he gave 100% and was dangerous going forward. hopefully shaw will come in now.
4.) I don't think Buettner had the right attitude. Listening to him these past few days he seems like a right flake. He seems arrogant and cocky. I always thought he could do a job and was not much worse than Ev has been in recent years. Obviously he lacked the mentality as well as the talent as I think if he had a better mentality, he would have gotten more opportunities.
5.) If he signs for utd for anywhere near £30m then you have been well and truly ripped off. Great bit of business from saints.
Utd have problems in so many other areas, and signing a lb with potential is crazy, if not un believable. Let's hope he continues to develop, unlike jones, smalling, and welbeck.
All the players mentioned I feel could have done with one or two years at their previous clubs.
6.) Saintsmiff, he will cost more than £30m and will be a great investment.

Welbeck came through our academy other than that I agree but we had to move fast on smalling and Jones others were interested. I also agree Shaw isn't worth anywhere near that sort of money. If I was Woodward i'd pull the plug and go elsewhere
8.) Maybe he was one more of SAF`s moneysaving projects? according to himself he was one of the best players at Manutd EVER! Being man of the match 14 times, almost every game he played for the first team. Now he wants to play CL and win trofies at a club that even hasn't qualified for the EL. I also liked the player in the begining, now he`s seemed to have the IQ of Forrest Gump.

So Moyes selects two wingers who are happy to defend as much as they attack. His selection today just oozes a lack of confidence.
I'm not anti Moyes but when you see selections like this, it really tests your patience.
1.) I'm sorry but when you have fullbacks like Rafael & Evra, they need all the help they can get or Hazard and Co will seriously take the p!ss.
I put money on Fabregas to join City yesterday, got 12/1. He's now 6/4 - happy with that!
Seems like what you said previously was true. Mata was a done deal and Moyes to be sacked if we didn't win COC or reach top 4. Moyes was sacked after the Everton game which was when we mathematically couldn't make the top 4 wasn't it?

I think it could work too. Shaw, Hummels, Kroos and another CM and then we would be very strong. Would also allow Jones and Smalling to both play which I'd like to see. The more I look at the, the more I like it - providing our fullbacks can provide the width.
I know sarcasm can sometimes be difficult to read over the internet, but if you think that was serious then you need to question yourself.

If you think of the investment in terms of the number of years he could potentially be our 1st choice left back, I think the value is pretty reasonable.
