what are your thoughts on Morgan Schneiderlin, do you think he can improve our midfield?

With our current options nearly anyone would improve our midfield options. But Schneiderlin is a very good player who imo could make the step up and play at the highest level. He is a solid passer with the work rate of a trojan. His reading of the game is superb which allows him to make many tackles and interceptions. I only have two concerns, one he's only played one season of top flight football, and two Southampton would likely want a large fee for him(16-18m).
But based on what i've seen of him he would be an excellent purchase.
