Hi lads, long time reader first time poster. I know it's glaringly obvious we need a striker. My question is how come SAF let it get so bad up front.
I was looking back at old matches and no matter who we had playing up top, you just knew once they had a chance the net would be rippling. We had Yorkie, Cole, Ole and Teddy. All world class finishers and all able to link up effortlessly with each other.
That brings me to my next point. The above weren't the biggest names when we signed them, so I don't see any harm is looking at Berahino. He's a good finisher, links the play well and makes some really good runs off the ball. Maybe he has an attitude but what 20 year old earning obscene amounts of money doesn't. I think with the right coaches and players around him he will only blossom if he applies himself.
Btw I feel the same about Adnan and Wilson but just feel Berahino can give that bit more in the present moment.

Fergie had Rooney and RVP with Hernandez as back up I don't see how that's fergies fault.
