What has rooney done to deserve 300k a week ok he is a good player but 300k making him the most expensive hmmm not to sure about that and I hope we cover lb cb cm dm and rw in the summer

chiggy

1.) Perhaps the club is considering the cost of replacing Rooney in comparison to what it would take to keep him? No doubt he adds much value to "brand" Manchester United.

I think the figures reported in the media are exaggerated and a lot of his salary will be performance related bonuses.

2.) Rooney will NOT be earning £300k per week. That is a story fabricated by the papers for sales.

3.) I hope it is because he is 28 turnin 29 and to be honest I dnt think many other clubs would be interested in rooney

4.) RF, his contract is based on performance related bonuses and that could be part of the issue. SAF wanted him to be a central midfielder, it seems Moyes has been considering it too with Rooney dropping back at times this season, but if he was to become a midfielder he wouldn't score as much, meaning less money. Rooney likes scoring goals, he is a goalscorer and with his salary based on scoring goals, he will want to play as a striker. Clearly Rooney wants to remain a striker, hence the reason Moyes will not drop him into the hole where he is best.

5.) I don't believe Rooney's salary is bonus based as you think. Would you agree to a contract where it's dependent on service from our crap midfield and wingers.

7.) Supposedly Rooney has a £160k a week basic salary. The rest is incentive based bonuses.

Can anyone justify why we paid 27million for fellani and from attackin midfield whyy we are trying to turn him defensive

chiggy

1.) One because Moyes and woodwood are inept and should of payed the release cause of 20 and he was a defensive midfielder prior to Everton and still plays that role for Belgium

2.) Not sure, Fellaini's best games for Everton have been playing in an advanced roll. But when moyes bought him he mentioned he wanted to play him further back. Big risk to take and another played out of position,
We can buy ronaldo and play him as centre back?

3.) Because that's what we like doing, changing players favourable position. Anderson, Cleverly, Rooney, Kagawa, Mata, Powell, scholes (when Veron came) just to name a few, we seem to have an obsession with dropping attacking players deeper instead of buying a deep lying mf. Who knows we might buy Vidal and play him cb.

Are you serious?

5.) Don't forget how Nani was playing great at right wing until SAF moved him to the left in order to make way for Valencia.

6.) Fellaini is not an attacking midfielder. He played there for just one season because of a lack of options.

He played 3 games for Everton this season, all of them in defensive midfield, and he was brilliant. Given time, he will turn into a very capable defensive midfielder and a very reliable player for us.

Hey I'm new 2 register but have been following the site for a long time
Firstly I feel moyes is incapable of playing with new tactics and scared also to try, why does continue to play 4 4 2 against team like stoke expecting crosses in the air to beat shawcross or huth it doesn't make any sense also 14 games to go and 7 points to catch it seems bit challenging speshally as we win 1 and lose 1 I don't feel moyes is tactically any good because if he was I'm sure he would have tried the 3 players behind rvp just like chelsea do I've jus been dissapointed with the play this year and people taking the mick out the champions
