The first deal will be for Bains. Evra to PSG on a free. Bains to UTD for £18m, replaced at Everton by Luke Shaw from Southampton for £6m.

Nothing else before mid July.

Inscider {Ed004's Note - Why would Evra go on a free?}

Believable4 Unbelievable81

Firstly why would Evra go on a free and secondly if Moyes spent 18 million on Baines I would want him sacked for being an imbecile
SC

Agree0 Disagree1

Also, Evra is Monaco through and through. No way he'd choose to play for PSG. I have a feeling Evra will go this season, but not to PSG and not on a free.

Matt

Agree2 Disagree0

Would rather keep Evra and pay the£6m for shaw.

Agree1 Disagree0

Plus ed Luke shaw will only leave for 10 mill plus

Agree0 Disagree0

Personic post of the month award winner is.

incider. lolsss

Rodio17

Agree0 Disagree0

Luke shaw will go to chelsea he has said numerous times he wants to play for and supports chelsea and chelsea are also intrested so that seems that

Agree0 Disagree0

What does personic mean?

Agree0 Disagree0

When you type person, or words to that affect, the eds change it to person/personic. it speeds things up if you just write like that yourself

Gingernut {Ed004's Note - I don't think there is any in Rooney going to Chelsea but there seems to be interest from United towards Thiago}

Believable28 Unbelievable2

31 May 2013 17:54:04
Eds does it look more likely that rooney is going to stay? {Ed004's Note - Yes I reckon he will end up staying}

Phil Jones on his way to Spurs. AVB is a huge fan. Jones is fed up with Moyes and his new regime already. Spurs have offered a way out for about 14 million pounds.

Will be made public through the website in the next 2-3 days.

ScotUtd {Ed004's Note - I don't even think Moyes has taken a training session yet?}

Believable11 Unbelievable110

Ed004, welcome to silly season.

REDFAITH

Agree1 Disagree0

That's one hell of a bad training regime Moyes. Buck up your ideas boy.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you are just making a fool of yourself. If you wanted to lie, at least it had to be half true! The Editor is a good person, I would have not responded to your lies.

Agree0 Disagree0

This must be the funniest rumour I have read on this site! Rubbish!

Only one word I can describe you "Fool"

I just can't see Moyes selling the best English defending prospect since a young Rio.

Agree1 Disagree0

What a load of crap

Agree1 Disagree0

This is the most far fetched thing I've ever heard! Phil Jones is on international duty! I seriously doubt he would have had time to get "fed up" in the brief period that DM has been appointed! Try again mate!

SJT

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol Moyes has not even took charge yet! Plus Jones would sell for double that anyway!

Agree0 Disagree0

Red faith I don't silly season accurately describes how much rubbish that post was.

Eds, is it true inter milan have alsp entered the race for Alcantara or is it just paper talk? Thanks {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest from Inter and it seems most unlikely. Milan, Bayern and the Manchester clubs remain interested.}

Believable3 Unbelievable4

31 May 2013 15:52:34
Ed have you got any updates on Rooney? He once again looked out of shape and sluggish for England. Would you stay say that he is a likely departure? {Ed004's Note - I am hoping so but I think him leaving is very unlikely tbh}

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Thanks. If you were to put money on it, what do you think Moyes first choice 11 will look like next season? {Ed004's Note - I reckon 4231 with De Gea, Rafael, Smalling/Evans, Vidic, Baines, Carrick, Strootman, Di Maria, Rooney, Kagawa and RVP up top though would love Fabregas in midfield and possibly a Rooney replacement such as Ozil or Reus but that is asking too much imo}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed004 that means Zaha will not into the first team? Do you think he will be loaned? {Ed004's Note - No but there is no chance imo that Zaha will be a regular next season he will have a good number of appearances under his belt by the end of the season but it is unrealistic to expect him to become a regular at Utd over one season imo}

Agree1 Disagree0

PR, the squad is 25 players just because he's not in the strongest starting line-up doesn't mean he won't get plenty of games. Surely easing in a relatively unproven yet talented youngster is the best way to go?

Agree0 Disagree0

No Zaha?
No Jones? {Ed004's Note - I don't expect either to be regulars next year. Also you hammered Nani this year for being inconsistent so I can't wait to see your opinion of Zaha after half a season!}

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed004 you have posted above in the expected team for the next season"Evans/Smalling" and you also say that Jones will not be a regular next season. Is he so far behind the pecking order or is it that he is still too young? (IMO if he doesn't get game time now it will rather degrade his game) {Ed004's Note - I just do not think he is a suitable partner for Vidic and imo Vidic has to start in the big games for us as he is the team leader and is probably the best centre back in the league when on form. I also think Smalling and Evans are closer to Rio than Jones and Rio and Vidic were brilliant together. Smalling will hopefully come back and regain form and his speed along with his positional play will see a brilliant partnership with Vidic formed}

Agree1 Disagree0

HoneyBadger, good point. But what i'm trying to say is that if there is no Valencia and Young in that line up would it be possible for Zaha to get decent game time? Considering Welbeck, Kagawa and Young can play on left and Valencia, Nani (if he doesn't move) play on right!

Agree0 Disagree0

Wasn't just this season I've hammered Nani I've NEVER rated him. Time will tell with Zaha but I will give him time. Just as I will with Kagawa who I don't think has been fabulous in his first season but has been injured AND played out of position. Yet still contributed more than 5yr 'veteran' Nani lol. {Ed004's Note - I am not defending Nani but what time was he given this season bare in mind the seasons he was given time he had the most assist in the league and contributed 12 or so goals. Now I believe Nani's career at United is over unless Moyes can come in and make him consistent and had him working harder for the team as then I couldn't think of a better right footed winger available however, you are expecting someone who has never played in the premiership and who has been inconsistent in the championship and hasn't got impressive stats for a championship player and be our savior on the wings}

Agree0 Disagree0

In response to the Rooney comment at the top, he has just become a father again! If my little lad is anything to go by Rooney might get some sleep in a few months time!

David Moyes' first signing could be a Uruguayan, according to sources in South America. Penarol right-back Guillermo Valera revealed his was on trial at United recently and there are reports of a €1.5million bid from the Reds, with various incentives. Vice-president Edgard Welker told Futbol a lo Penarol: "It's an important offer. It's complicated - it's not easy. " It is claimed the Penarol board rejected this first bid but are open to negotiation.

Paris Saint Germain have met Manchester United's asking price of £17M for Nani. Totally in hands of Nani

more new to come.

MR UTD7 {Ed004's Note - I reckon we offer them a swap involving Verratti or Matuidi but can't see them wanting to do that}

Believable28 Unbelievable6

I hope your right his time is up let's hope anderson soon leaves with him!what's your source?REDWILL

Agree0 Disagree0

Nani plus £10m for Verratti would be wonderful!

Ozwald

Agree1 Disagree0

Thats good news.

Agree0 Disagree0

You really think PSG would spend 17 million quid on that person.
I know there rich but that's just throwing money down the drain.
It will never happen, they don't even need him.

Simmo

Agree1 Disagree0

Simmo, Zenit were going to spend €27m on Nani just ten month's ago. Nani in a team that gives him the luxury of staying forward and not having to track back would be a very tidy asset.

Sydney!

Agree2 Disagree2

Sydney

That was last year, he is worse now and played less games.
He can't beat a man, his control is terrible and he can't even get in the united team ahead of Giggs, Young and Valencia.
I don't care in Nani never crossed back into his half again he is still dog sh*t and so is Anderson.
Rany over. lol.

Simmo

Agree1 Disagree2

Simmo, Nani has been shunted out of the side by the manager for rejecting his move to Zenit. Nani has known for the past two years that he is not wanted by the club. How would you play knowing that? I am not making a case to keep Nani as I think he needs to go and will go, but he is a very talented player and we will see that when he moves to another club.

Sydney!

Agree2 Disagree1

A good deal for a player with one year left on his contract 'if' its true
DHK

Agree0 Disagree1

Simmo, I'm not sure he could have gotten 'worse' within a year and at his prime. He just hasn't played much and when he has he's been inconsistent. There's been lots going on behind the scenes with him too. I think he could do well at another team but it's time for him to leave United that's for sure.

Agree0 Disagree1

I'll drive him there myself

Agree1 Disagree0

Taxi for Nani? Is it Christmas ready?
Seriously chaps if we could get 17m for Nani that would be an incredible piece of business.

There are some players who are just not United quality and Nani epitomises that. And it's not just about the last 2 seasons. He has been a poor buy over the 5 seasons he's been here.

He could go elsewhere and improve but for whatever reason he has never made the grade at United and never will.

Shaves 80k pw off the wage bill and creates a squad berth for someone hopefully more deserving if the privilege.

@ simmo
yes, its going to happen. psg has already met Manchester United asking price, just personal terms with nani, that remain.

and Manchester United are on the verge of signing strootman and thiago is a done deal with barcelonia but its up to thiago to decide if he want to paly for Manchester United or stay in barcelonia.

more news to come on new utd gk coach. peter schmeichel seems favourite for the job after getting his coaching badge according to my source.

Gd news. Galatasaray enquired Nani willing to pay up to 10m while Utd is setting 14m. I think this'd be a done deal. good start! JS

Believable36 Unbelievable9

Although I think its time for Nani to go £10-14m in todays market is cheap. One thing does amaze me (bar Ronaldo and even arguably in his case) we do seem to have a history of under selling players value wise in line with the market.
Invisible Stuey

Agree3 Disagree1

Yes I agree, why don't we hold clubs to ransom just like other clubs do to us? Beckham and Van Nistleroy spring to mind. We practically gave them away to Madrid and also only got paid in installments. We probably have not even been fully paid for those 2 players yet! Our negotiators need to grow a pair and stop letting other clubs believe that we don't need the money because when we go in for a player you can guarantee that the price goes up by at least 20%

Stevo

Agree0 Disagree0

We got 13.2 million pounds for Van Nisterooy from Real Madrid and he was 30 years old. We only paid 19 million for him, I think that's a good price for a 30 year old.
We got 35 million EUROS (26 million pounds) for Beckham and he was 28 nearly 29. Again I think that's a good price for a player of his age.

Simmo

Agree1 Disagree0

Thank God

Nani out 12m
Strootman in 17m

lovely jubbly

Agree1 Disagree0

I think Beckham was probably undervalued mainly due to his marketing potential. Most of the time however when we sell players it's because we have made the decision to get rid, whereas when we're buying the other club is either eager to hang on to the player or at least pretend to be eager so as to maximise their value, meaning we end up paying more.
Jomu83

Agree0 Disagree0

I read somewhere that Beckham made back the circa £25m he cost in 3 days with merchandising etc. whether that is true or not I don't know, but you can guarantee that Beckham made Real an awful lot more than he cost them. I think Fergies dislike for "Brand Beckham" got in the way of the best deal for MUFC.
Also thinking of Jaap Stam, he was sold for £16m and I think he was worth more.

Agree0 Disagree0

Simmo we only got £10million for RVN and we only received around £20million for Beckham which, for someone who was on the cusp of his 28th Birthday and the best in his position in the world at the time, was an absolute bargain for Real Madrid IMO. I would tend to agree with those that say we should be holding out for higher prices. We tend to be very fair to other clubs when it comes to our valuations of our outgoing players, a courtesy that is rarely returned.

TK-Red

Agree0 Disagree0

I kinda get the sell on value argument taking place here but let's not ever equate the selling of Nani against the sales of Beckham and RVN ever again please.

cheers

Agree1 Disagree0

Totally agree with the 'underselling' points. However, what the likes of Becks, RVN and Stam had in common was that Fergie wanted them out, and quickly. Slight case of 'cutting off your nose', but that's how the gaffer worked.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes very true that most of our players leaving has been bythe choice of the club as opposed to buying from clubs that don't actually want to sell really. Still doesn't detract from the fact that we have under sold players, you don't have to hold clubs to ransom to get a fair deal.
I am not saying the OP's rumours is true, but it is a good example, tell me, who with £14m you could buy as a winger with the talent or experience of Nani irrespective of him never fullfilling it consistently. Beckham for sure was over sold, you only have to see what Galaxy and PSG were paying him in wages to realise his value to a club all be it not footballing reasons, and let's not forget Beckham was a top top player at that point with several years still ahead of him. anyway as excited as I was when we signed Nani having seen a few of his games for Lisbon, I have been equally dissapointed with him in the main more so. The same can be said for Anderson even though in his case I would be sad to see him go as I still think he could be excellent, inury free, fit and with a run of games and confidence but he has had enough chances now I think.
Invisible Stuey

Agree0 Disagree0

For me, its about the culture of United simply placing team harmony/a players ability above financial gain (something you can do when you earn as much as they do). In the case of Stam it was the book debacle, with Beckham it was the fame etc. Other teams might keep on players if they don't feel they are getting a "fair" deal financially, which could ultimately damage team performances/morale for the sake of business. United seem to cut their losses when it suits the club and if an odd £5m is relinquished here and there, so be it. The cycle of the side must continue above all else. and what a great attitude!
