A bid is being finalised for Ross Barkley of Everton. It is believed that we will offer 20 million or 10 million plus young to seal what could be a season changing transfer.

Gibbo

1.) That sounds about right, another offer that won't come close to signing anyone

2.) Pfff £20M for Barkley wouldn't even buy his left leg! Plus he's out for 6 weeks with a broken toe!

3.) The only part of this I find believable is that the persons who own our would believe that could get him for that low amount.

4.) Gibbo, if Barkley does leave then it will likely be for around around double that. I think there's very little chance of him leaving in January anyway.

5.) Season changing transfer, what sat at home injured haha

Moyes was in Malaga on Friday night to watch their game against Valencia. Although people will expect he was watching banega as he has been linked with a move this wasn't the case. The PLAYERS he was looking at were oriol romeu who is there on loan from Chelsea and Pablo piati. Romeu would add some much needed steal to the heart of our midfield and piati would be brought in to provide the ammunition to our strikers. Moyes has ran out of patience with cleverly and will listen to offers for the England midfielder. Moyes is ready to have a complete change around this summer with the only midfield survivors being carrick and januzaj.

Gibbo

1.) Darron, just because you was turfed out on your arse, doesn't mean Cleverley will be ;)

On a serious note, Cleverley will not be going anywhere. We don't just lack quality, we lack quantity.

News coming out of Old Trafford today is that moyes has identified the player to patch up our midfield at least until the summer when the likes ok koke will be available. The deal is a loan with a view to permanent in summer if moyes is impressed. The player I am talking about which may come as a shock is tom huddlestone. We will use our good relationship with Steve Bruce to push the deal through and send zaha the opposite direction on loan to sweeten the deal.
Look out for this in tomorrow's papers.

Gibbo

1.) Although I don't see it. I would be happy with that.

2.) ! This is one of the funniest rumours I've heard. Number 1 he isn't up to united standard by miles and secondly he is hulls most key central midfielder! If it happens I'll eat my hat but I'm fairly sure my hat will stay put firmly on top of my head

3.) 17 Jan 2014 20:09:09
Huddlestone?

4.) LOL, the only midfielder worse than him in our squad is Cleverley. Carrick and Fletcher are better, I don't believe that for a second.

5.) Lol is it April already

6.) I don't think you guys are giving him the recognition he deserves. He is a great prospect. I admit this is most likely a Wind up and probably reference the fact we are linked with every player under the sun. However he is a creative MF who has far better legs than both Carrick and Fletcher. However a Loan. Well What harm can that do?

Sorry but I would say this is a good bit of business. I rated him at Spurs and I think this season he has been impressive. Some say its easy to shine in a poor Team.

So yes this is a Joke. But I would take it given the situation we are in

7.) So hull sell there best CM to us and in return they get a young winger on loan. Yes this rumour makes perfect sense!

8.) ErrrmThe rumor is that we are getting him on loan too ;) with option to buy.

Moyes will try to bring in jack Rodwell as his first signing to play alongside carrick.
Pellegrini will pile the city team with more players from overseas so the likes of Rodwell and Sinclair will be sold. Not that they was ever really apart of mancinis team anyway.

Would people be encouraged with a carrick Rodwell pairing?

Gibbo

1.) Come on Gibbo, Rodwell is ok at best. Strootman will partner carrick.

"Would people be encouraged with a carrick rodwell paring" Hell NO

2.) Rodwell is far too injury prone.

Mad Hatter

3.) A few years ago I would have expected Rodwell to replace Carrick, but his injury problems have not gone away so a simple answer is no. I would not expect to see Rodwell at United nor would I want him here.

Sydney!

4.) You have a better chance of winning the lottery than us being interested in Rodwell

Melwing28

5.) 04 Jun 2013 11:48:36
He wouldn't be my first choice signing. His injury problems make him look like he might become another Hargreaves. Plus his constant injuries have hindered his progress just like Anderson. And can you really see City selling to us?

I wouldn't be against it as he still has a lot of ability if he can over come his injuries. But I would only want to see him come in along side Strootman. We can't afford to gamble our midfield on just Rodwell.

6.) Rodwell? Not a chance he will play for UTD, he is not good enough for city so he ain't good enough for us. He is overated and far too injury prone.

7.) I actually think the Rodwell Carrick partnership would be great for 5 games per season, also heard that as part of Rodwells kit he gets matching boots and binoculars 50x25 so he can watch the training from his physio's table

Marvelous choice of player

8.) City player to Manchester United no way!
don't want him

9.) It will be Carrick and Fellaini

10.) I agree Carrick and Fellaini, but if Fellaini wants to stay put, Moyes will go for Wanyama

Anybody else wondering whether moyes will actually sign someone like thiago who plays football the right way (passing football). I can't help but think this isn't moyes style of playing the game. Although he was on a limited budget at Everton he still made that team his own over the years and look at how they play the game. Long balls down to Fellaini and jelavic. I for one think thiago is never going to happen. Strootman however is a moyes type of player and therefore looks very likely to sign.

Taking into account the above I feel we could make a move for Michu. As daft as it sounds he would suit the moyes style of playing the game behind rvp.

Gibbo

1.) Moyes has usually played some derivative of the 4231 formation with an AM or no. 10 behind the striker. Right now that player is Fellaini but in the past he had Cahill (bit like Lampard IMO) and Arteta (more of a Fabregas type). I'd like to think Moyes is capable of playing different ways and will adapt to the better calibre of player at United. I think the AM/no. 10 often defines Moyes strategy for his team so it will be interesting to see whether he opts for Rooney, Kagawa or a new player as I think this will be a good indication of how we set up.

Personally I wouldn't mind seeing Strootman & Carrick in CM with a front 4 of Kagawa (left), Rooney, Di Maria (right) & RvP (up top). Not the most inspiring o 'wishlists' I know but it answers 2 of our main issues i. e. pace/danger down the wing and more solid in midfield.

HB

2.) Dont be silly Manchester United play Attacking football Moyes will know this if you think we will become a long ball team your an person

ms85

3.) As ms85 said I think DM will play football the right way the Utd way, I cannot believe that the club would say ok Dave you the man then say to him don't worry about Utd football just hoof it

4.) 04 Jun 2013 11:53:04
Moyes will do what any decent manager does and set his team up to play to their strengths. He set Everton up to play with Fellaini up top due to lack of other quality options.

We only really have Welbeck who could play as a target man, but I don't see that happening.

As much as I agree something isn't right I don't think sacking moyes is the answer and plus who do we get in to replace him that's actually going to turn our season around? Unless fergie is willing then I think moyes should be given another year. If this time next year we are struggling like this I think he should rightly be sacked.

What are you on about? Moyes won't be interested in mata he has too much technical ability. We would more likely sign Gareth Barry to compliment cleverly. Be like having the chuckle brothers passing sideways in midfield. To me to you.
