Everton matched wigan's demands for Fellaini.

2.) You mean McCarthy! But yeah i've also seen this. Apparently we have til 2:00am to complete a deal for Fellaini if a fee has been agreed. Medical etc.?

James McCarthy deal to Everton could be in ruins. Apparently Everton offered the money over 4 years and Dave Whelan was not happy about it at all!
Could this scupper our bid for Fellaini if it doesn't go through?
1.) No as lukaka is now set to join everton.

Just out of curiosity, why are the words "sly spurts" (but with the correct spelling) always edited into the words "a website"? {Ed007's Note - Because they stand for everything that is wrong in football. Great to see another fine international performance from Welbeck tonight! 8 goals in 18 internationals isn't a bad return if you ask me?! Especially considering he is playing out wide. He is still young and can improve a lot and I hope he can keep up this form for club and country! He has a great attitude as well and deserves a bit of credit.

Anyone got any news on when Rafael is likely to be available again?
Also, just wondering what people's thoughts are on Valencia filling in at rb until Raffa is back? I thought he did quite a good job when coming on against Liverpool. Although to be fair he was not tested much defensively.
1.) Should be ok for palace, but realistically city mite be when he starts
2.) Starts training this week and will be ready for City for sure and might see him get a run out in the palace game for about 20 minutes. God knows we need him as jones seems lost once he gets past the halfway line:)
3.) Valencia makes a better stand in RB than either Jones or Smalling. Purely because he's strong and fast. He played there quite a lot the season before last I think so he's used to it.
4.) I'd rather play Fabio in that position to be honest. Disappointed he isn't being given a chance

Fair enough. I was just curious about it that's all. When I originally referred to said channel I wasn't actually referencing them regarding a transfer rumour or anything but was simply commenting on how despite having all of the sly and BT channels etc I could still not watch the Chelsea vs Villa game (in the hope of seeing Benteke cause havoc against them). I personally am not a betting man but I can see your point about how they have the ability to manipulate the market for those who are. Going back to the subject of Herrera, it will give us more time to assess the player and see how he progresses this season. By January they might decide that he is worth the price. For the amount of money involved in buying this player they need to be absolutely sure he is worth it.

This has become an increasingly common practise by both players and their agents to link themselves with other clubs in order to increase their wages at their current club, without ever really having an interest in leaving in the first place. I am certain DM will only have had a genuine interest in a very small number of players, and I still think/hope 1 or 2 of those will be joining us before the window closes.
He's on 4 now! And Macheda's bagged a couple on his debut as well!
I completely agree with GDS on this one.
It looks like he's been chain smoking all summer judging from the first few games of this season for Fulham. No doubting his talent but was just never prepared to dig in and go that extra mile.
Tel, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't "dithering" Davey finish above Brendan last season?
I didn't see the match but have seen highlights. He played a lovely through ball in the build up to the 1st goal and had what was described by tv sport as an imperious performance. So it sounds as if he did pretty well! :)
