ÉVERTON RIBEIRO looks a good prospect and I've heard his name about a bit, any intrest?

RED JIMMY

1.) He would sign in an heartbeat and MU are interested in him, but a work permit may be difficult.

2.) Would be a bit of an irony if Moyes bought him wouldn't it?.

3.) Would be strange to hear fans shouting for Everton!

Can anyone tell me if there is to be a press conferance today, and if so, what time is it please?

RED JIMMY

1.) Usually there are some details of the press conference on the official website on the live blog but its all quiet today. wonder what's up.

2.) I believe a pre match press conference is at 16.30

3.) Hopefully there might be an announcement about a sigining but all the questions will probably be about lack of them and Rooney etc. If we sign Fellani do you reckon he might start on Monday or any other signing at that.

RED JIMMY

1.) I think it is quite obvious now, that Rooney wants out. I think when the appointment was made, and doubts he might have had, went out of the window.
The club have probably tried to flog him abroad, but haven't had many takers. Now, only Chelsea seem keen to take him.
If the club had any sense, they would contact Arsenal, and try and flog him to them. Rather them than Chelsea. Chelsea are already going to be hard work, let-alone having a fit and ready Rooney in their starting line-up.

I am all for patients etc, but I think the club are taking the piss a bit to be honest. They have done little to assuage the fans unease. If anything, there seems to clear direction.

Would I be right in thinking that people would be more open to signing fellani if we signed fabregas/ronnie first?

RED JIMMY

1.) Yes, I think so, looking at a post a few weeks ago on here most people seemed quite happy to sign Fellaini as it is, he just isn't first choice.

2.) I see Fellaini as a new paint job for a car - with Fabregas being the car.

On its own - the paint job would be useless; but on the car it would look quite nice!

Hi guys, if lewandowski were to sign, do you see that as the end of rooneys stay? Or do you think we will lose another?

RED JIMMY

1.) If we signed Lew then that would be the end for Rooney. He may be sold regardless, but I would say it's HIGHLY unlikely he would stay if Lew is signed.

Sydney!

2.) Agree with Syd - hence why I am hoping that we do not sign Lewandowski!

3.) I would swap Rooney for Lew in an heartbeat. Rooney is in decline whilst Lew is on the verge of becoming a very very good player. RvP & Lew beats RvP & Rooney hands down. However RvP (2011-13) & Rooney (2009/10) would have been a very special partnership.

Sydney!

4.) If we sign lewendowski then think it could spell the end for Hernandez or wellbeck.

swapping rooney for lewendowski doesn't really strengthen the squad (cue discussion whether Rooney is better than lewendowski) but swapping Hernandez and particularly wellbeck does.

the treble winning side of 99 had four fantastic strikers who were interchangeable without there being a drop in quality. we need to emulate that.
