Morning Ed

Wondering if i can pick your brains ever so slightly, a lot of the european power houses have started there transfer dealings for the summer early with de jong to barcelona, hernandez and pavard to bayern etc. Is there a reason we do not see a lot of this in England as it obviously puts the buying team at a clear advantage when it comes to pre season?

Cheers for any insight you can give.

{Ed002's Note - you do see it in England, Chelsea have for example agreed a player arriving.}

Less to do with england as a whole and more just showing who the well run clubs are and who the poorly run clubs are.

Well run Clubs like Bayern, Barcelona and city probably know who they're going to buy in 2020 summer window let alone this upcoming window.

Other poorly run clubs probably still don't know what they're plans are for 2019 summer window even though its just around the corner.

{Ed002's Note - They know who they want, not who they will buy.}

Completely agree with that Ed i don't believe there stock is going to get any higher unless they manage to get Lincoln to the play offs in League 1, just hope they go to the right club and get a fair crack of the whip so to speak like you said the style of play isn't to everyones taste so that coupled with a poor early run of form could be very hard to turn round.

DannyH17

{Ed001's Note - I do wonder if their style of play is a product of choice or necessity? Unless they get a chance with a bigger club, where they can play a more entertaining style, we will never find out sadly.}

Ed you mentioned months ago about the Cowleys do you see them moving on and do you think they would be a good fit? Lincoln are my local team so fingers crossed there staying put but certainly wouldn't begrudge them leaving.

Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - I don't know of them going anywhere. They have done remarkable work with Lincoln but their style of play is not to everyone's taste and a lot of people are dubious about their ability to step up a level. There does seem to be someone trying to get them a step up this summer though, their names are being thrown into a lot of conversations, so it could well be this season they finally get their chance to manage at a bigger club.

Shame though, I used to work with a guy from Lincoln who supported them, he was a nice guy and I would love to see them stay there and continue their impressive work for his sake. You have to think they are right at the pinnacle of what the club can achieve in the short term and it would be the right time for them to move on though, for their careers' sake.}

Seeing as you have namedropped them Ed what's your opinion on the Cowley brothers i live local to Lincoln and there rise under the Cowleys is nothing short of impressive but they would never enter my mind when it comes to a premier league job never mind United.

{Ed001's Note - excellent mate but they need to step up now and prove themselves at the next level.}

While i don't agree with a lot of what Pogba does i have to say i disagree with AAA he is the only player on the pitch today who i am actually looking at and would mind if he was pulled off all our better work is going through him.
