Liverpool fan in peace here and I think it is a good sign that Garnacho has deleted his social media accounts. I always found him to be a good prospect for you lot but he seems to have lost his way a bit since the start of the season. It didn't help that the fans and media were building him up to be the main man in the team, which understandably contributed to him developing a bit of a big head. Hopefully this is a sign that he is putting his head down and is working hard on himself again.

Hi Giggs. Liverpool fan here and what Ed001 said was correct. We had three first-choice CBs (Matip, Gomez, and Van Dijk) that season and all three were out injured for the duration of the season. We then played our midfielders (Fabinho, Hendo, and Gini) in CB for a while and that was when we struggled. When Hendo and Fabinho got injured, we went out and got Davies and Kabak in the Jan window. Davies and Kabak then got injured so we were forced to play Phillips and Williams in CB. That, coupled with the return from injury of both Hendo and Fabinho, led to us going on an unbeaten run and ultimately finishing third that season.
You were partially right though when you said that we got a few players back but it was our midfield players, not our CBs that returned from injury. And that winner from Allison helped a lot as well.

Liverpool fan here and I would have taken Garnacho but his attitude seems to have taken a turn for the worse since the start of this season. I did like him last season since he always worked extremely hard for the team and I could see the effort, although his end product can be missing at times. But this season, it seems like he has gotten all the positive plaudits to to his head and I don't see the same hard work that he used to put in. Maybe a drop to a lower team would be good for him, to motivate and put that spark in him again.

He has a crappy attitude though. He had exorbitant wage demands which put both Chelsea and SA clubs off. The only reason he is playing on loan in Turkey now is because he burnt his bridges with Napoli after other clubs turned away from him. He has good ability but thinks he is better than he actually is. I'd love for him to join you lot though since I can see it ending in tears for everyone ;)

Getting a strong character in like Simeone would result in more than half the dressing room revolting. The players are a bunch of marshmallows who would rather down tools than pull up their socks and work hard.

Liverpool fan here and I'm a bit disappointed that Wallace put what I said as "other posters" in his post above :')
Anyway, on the topic of Mainoo, I stand by what I said and he truly is a gem. By far the best midfielder you have currently and was carrying Casemiro in the last game against us. He looked much better once Casemiro came off and Collyer came on, albeit absolutely knackered which led to the area that led to the goal. If we had him in our team, I think he definitely be in the mix to start and we would be gushing about him like he's the next Gerrard.

Liverpool fan here and I feel compelled to reply because there are inaccuracies in your post particularly around this statement:
"Liverpool kind of did that last year, they didn't have the funds to spend big and bring in a first choice No.6 so they bought the budget option in Endo"
We were after Ugarte, Lavia, and Caicedo, submitting bids for two of them (Lavia and Caicedo) that are significant but failed due to reasons other than having not enough funds. Endo happened because we failed to bring in the above and he was deemed the next best, not because he was the budget option.
