I have a feeling that the players will soon tell LVG that his philosophy is a load of rubbish. We have world class players and they will show it when the manager stops being a stubborn old man. Bring back the football we know they can play.

Hi first time poster go easy on me. I would like to share my thoughts on players I watched closely in today's game.
Rooney.
Too many touches on ball, needs to simplify his game as a striker and let the midfield do its job. Too many times he slowed the game down and allows the opposition back 4 time to regroup, (without walkers assistance we may not have taken 3 points today). I have no doubt that if fit he will score 30 goals a season, if scoring is his focus and gains some trust in the rest of the team.
Memphis.
Showing signs of a world class player you can see the player he wants to be and if he was playing in position he'll fulfil his potential. I'd like to see him play with Hernandez.
Darmian (future star)
He played very well on his debut and you could see how much impact he had on the game when Valencia come on for him, our back 4 was under constant pressure. I'm very pleased with him and IMO he will be the best signing in the premier league this season.
Romero.
Had a good game considering the circumstances I believe that LVG only dropped DDG today to show Madrid that we won't struggle without him, so they cough up a fair price for whom I consider the #1 goalkeeper in the world.
And finally, Bastian.
He got the whole crowd pumping today, the game changed and I think he will play a lot more than people think. He doesn't need the captain's armband to show he's a leader and he proved that today on the pitch. Bastian will gel the team together and we will win silverware with him no doubt about it.

Agree totally, Rooney needs someone creating more chances for him, but LVG has said we need that type of player so fingers crossed. Also thought our defence did well all in all. Schneiderlin was my MOTM, thought he did everything well.

I think that plenty of opportunities will fall for Wayne if he stays upfront as the furthest player. It’s like we play in front of a wall and try to smash it down rather than work around it. Chances are falling short because when he receives the ball he has 3 men to beat, then the chance has gone. Hopefully it will all fall into place soon.
