My son told me rooney the a bit of a tantrum when taken off. Broke some glass in the dug out? ? Is this true? Seems a bit petulant and not his usual reaction to being subbed. Him and mata in the same team slows things down too much in some games. I prefer one or the other.
Hope the bailly injury is not too serious I wonder will it prevent him going to the acon?
Great result big 3 points. A tough game at the weekend west brom are in good form themselves and are always hard to play against on a ground where we don't always do well.
We are improving and if the others slip up we are putting ourselves in a position to take advantage.
Ibra pogba herrera Jones are improving with every game.

The camera panned to him going mad behind Mourinho at the side of the dug-out, he seemed to be hammering it with his boot (not totally sure, but your son is right mate)! However I think it was to do with the ref rather than being subbed, as Mourinho gave a little look behind him and said nothing. I don't know for sure, but he seemed enraged about the non-penalty and Mata's goal being disallowed rather than being subbed (I hope so anyway) .

Just typed it in google and you see Mourinho turn around and probably say "pack it in thug", haha. It literally looks like a toddler having a half hearted tantrum.

It was a reaction to the referee. He had a go at the as well just after he came off. Anyone would. Clear penalty, clear goal. Don't know what referee was seeing. And given the way our results have gone over the season, he was in his right to be infuriated. A penalty then and a goal would have killed the game off.

It certainly wasn't a reaction to being subbed off.

Makes sense never seen him throw his dummy out at being subbed. Although he cut a frustrated figure last night. Not up with some of his better displays this season.

West Brom is the one game I was worried about over the Xmas period. So hard to break down, they've got great set-piece deliveries from Chris Brunt, and no doubt Johnny Evans will have a worldie of a game, clearing numerous chances of the line and committing loads of last-ditch tackles. I'd take a scrappy 1-0 right now.

I'd bite your arm off for a 1 nil now stevie.
Tough fixture. They have won 4 of their last 6 and are scoring a lot of goals.
As I said on the chat last night for the 1st time since the great RVN played fire is I feel wet have a centre forward who will score in every game in ibra. I know he frustrates you but like a good postman he nearly always delivers.

Stevie,

Before the Spurs game I said we needed 4 wins and a draw from the next 5 games to be on the tail of top 4, the West Brom game was the one I thought we might only get a point, I fully expect us to see off Sunderland and Middlesbrough the form we are in. 3 points on Saturday with city to play Arsenal and Liverpool in the next couple of weeks would be exceptional and i would be starting to get more confident of a top 4 finish.

I had a bit on us winning the league before the Palace game 33/ 1. There is a chance if we use this as a stepping stone and our "stars" kick on.

I agree with most of that GDS2 apart from i see the next few games slightly different.

I see the wins coming against WBA and Sunderland and the hiccup game against Borough. don't know why, perhaps i still think of Juninho when i think of them and it unnerves me :-)

Just watched the Video of Rooney's tantrum - absolutely wetting myself. Looks like he's a few studs short of a boot more than losing his rag.

Ezrs,

I thought the boro game might be tricky but watching then last night against the scousers they defended like a pub team, couple that with not scoring many goals and we should put 4 or 5 past them. How good would 2 5-0 wins be over Christmas? Wonder what reaction Moyes will get on Boxing Day.

100-1 maybe, the way Chelsea are playing right now and taking into account their much more limited schedule. I'd need 20-1 just to come 3rd despite our improvement.
