Sancho could be next out the door with the statements tonight.
Mot sure what is happening with training but when a manager gives a player time away from the squad last year, appears to have tried to get the best out of him. to get to the point of dropping him for a big game you have to think it could be over.

Sancho can’t take the criticism instead wants to cry on social media

Gone are the days where players use it as motivation

Not like he’s been good enough for the last 3 managers anyway

Bout time the managers stopped sugar coating these babies, if they don’t like it, there’s the door.

Why do it now the day after the windw has closed? He’s been less than useless at Utd. Sell him and move on. Maybe a Saudi club will come for him

Utd were pathetic tonight by the way. - as soon as the clock struck 90’ we all knew they’d cave in. We all knew it.

They’ll be those here who will sway the Garnacho “goal” should have stood but I thought they were truly pathetic tonight. Much like the club’s stature.

Another modern day player who thinks he’s far better than he actually is

Been here over 2 years and done next to zippo

£375,000 a week doesn’t get you much these days

Ship him out along with Maguire McTominay Martial and Anthony

We just go from one disaster to another

Until the leeches are gone nothing will change I’m afraid to say

Roll on 2025 when they hope to sell for 10 billion

Are they that deluded and think anyone’s going to pay 10 billion.

EtH's has wanted rid all summer, but if he was going to say this about one of his players, then why not a month ago.

McTominay and Sancho were always for sale, but window is closed now. As I said earlier you have to reintegrate them.

Separate note, why didn't Evans go down when being held. Does not pay to be honest in those situations, refs only care when they are forced to.

UA remember when Jose wanted pogba martial etc gone and the club said no. and I’m the end the manager was the one to go

He should earn his 375k a week wage instead of moaning and be motivated he’s been a flop and an expensive one at that

We go down that route again and we’re back at the players having the power

Players come and go if he’s not doing what the manager asks he doesn’t deserve to play.

10.) 03 Sep 2023
03 Sep 2023 22:28:36
UA what should he do then just allow him to not meet the standards he sets in training?

What’s wrong with managers coming out and saying it how it is about why players are left out?

If he’s not performing say it, he’s the manger if he doesn’t like it then leave.

We’ve had 7 or 8 seasons of players doing what they like and getting away with stealing a living

Sancho is another on the long list of average cry babies that don’t have the motivation to do what’s asked.

Sancho was the second to last major mistake of the Woodward era. After an underwhelming season in the Bundesliga we decided to cough up £80m and £375k a week making him the highest paid player at United, behind de Gea - who was far and away the highest paid goalie in the world - and subsequently behind Ronaldo who was the last major error. Sancho has never ever looked remotely like an £80m player. He's been given time off to sort his mental state out, but apparently it hasn't worked. He seems to be one of those players who peaked early, started to believe his own press, and then when the pressure was on, crumbled.

There's beginning to be a lot of competition for those forward spots and part of the reason is that Sancho cannot be relied upon to hold down a place, so we had to try and upgrade. In other words, Sancho is his own worst enemy. Hard to believe he's costing us a total of £35m a year. Boy, were we suckered.

We lost today, but ETH had the team set up just right. Considering our injuries we did quite well and with a bit of luck could have easily won the game. Can anyone say that Sancho would have added anything positive to the side? The underlying reason ETH doesn't play him is that he can't or won't hack it. He doesn't trust him and quite rightly so, he's done little to earn it. End of story. I can see him going the way of Lingard.

I think it reflects very poorly on Sancho personally.

Let's be honest he struggled under both Ole and Ralf, he has been a shadow of the player he was at Dortmund.

EtH came in and realised Sancho needed help, he sent him the the Netherlands, probably calling in more than a few favours, to try and give Sancho the help and support he needed to be able to get back to his best.

If after that the manager doesn't feel that the player is working hard enough in training then the player deserves to be called out. The manager has clearly and publicly tried the supportive approach to get the best out of the player and clearly that support has fallen on deaf ears.

So after trying the carrot to no avail the only option left is the stick.

Sancho instead of listening to what is being said and thinking what can he do to change that situation. He is just kicking out. Trying to shift blame, and shirk responsibility for his actions and his performances.

It's clear now why City didn't fight to keep him, he might have a lot of talent, but he had the mental fortitude and resilience of wet paper towel. Without that he will never reach his undoubted potential. The kid just doesn't have the stones to put in the hard yards.

Sancho has had multiple managers question his professionalism.

17.) 04 Sep 2023
04 Sep 2023 00:28:17
Well that’s his United career over. If results and performances don’t pick up soon though I can see ETH following him out the door. The club backed him when this happened with Ronaldo, but if this keeps happening and we keep playing the way we have been, it’s difficult to see the owner putting up with him alienating multi-million dollar assets for too much longer.

Sancho should never have spoken out publicly, though it’s difficult not to agree with him when the likes of Anthony and Martial are chosen week in week out despite offering next to nothing on the pitch. Heck, given that ETH publicly called his professionalism into question, one could maybe argue that he has a right to respond, even if doing so was ill-advised.

We should never have let ETH push RR out the door. Having him in a DoF-like role would have helped the club move forward, but instead, if ETH does end up leaving, we’re right back to square one, having blown a few hundred million more up the wall. Sadly, however, our owners just don’t have a clue.

Back the manager. This team has a serious weakness mentality. We need to back this guy to sort it out.

I'm sure if sancho takes the necessary steps he will reintegrate and everyone will move forward. Eth rules approach is the best way to deal with these jokers.

The hand he has been dealt with the failings of this summer window he has a free hit in my book again this season.

We need our back office to get some of these players out of the door and bring in the players he needs to play his style.

When a manager player dispute starts, the players need to know that the manager is the boss and they need to follow he way or step aside. Very simple.

All this rumour mill nonsense is usually leaked from the players side to exert pressure on the manager. I think the fans need to back the manager and let him rip out the guts of the old fragile rubbish from before and maybe then we can have a team that represents us on the pitch.

19.) 04 Sep 2023
04 Sep 2023 01:03:05
I thought with 7 or 8 ETH players in, the culture might change, but it looks like until he fills every position with his own men, we're still going to have that flakey mindset.

20.) 04 Sep 2023
04 Sep 2023 03:17:58
Exactly Nou. And everyone saying anthony is failing, he was very good today. Yes he needs to develop a better end product, I'm sure he is working on it and hopefully with hojland actually moving upfront we might see some improvement. His work rate was excellent today. He was very good protecting his FB against an excellent winger and was at times our only only outball and often double teamed by arsenal.

Sancho might have a bit of end product, but he is very hot and cold on work rate and passion. EtH made the right choice picking Anthony ahead of sancho away at arsenal, and if that led sancho to sulk this week then I am 100% behind ten hag. And if sancho wants to swan off to saudi and we get a bag of money for him I don't think many utd fans would be too upset.

21.) 04 Sep 2023
04 Sep 2023 04:40:41
@East Stand Nick - I thought Garnacho’s goal should if stood, and it was another case of an unreasonable VAR decision, but to imply like these only go against United - when your club has had more luck than any other (with perceptions the exception of City) regarding VAR decisions - is living in dreamland.

22.) 04 Sep 2023
04 Sep 2023 04:53:38
Not sure I agree with that, Dodgy.

I got the whole situation with Ronaldo. Ten Haag wanted to make a point that he was in charge and kept Ronaldo at the club so that he could assert his dominance and show the world (and more importantly, the players) that nobody - not even one of the greatest players in the world - was bigger than the manager. However, this situation with Sancho is different and so very avoidable.

I’m sure some will argue that he is just telling the truth, but for me, that’s a load of nonsense. Players like Martial and Antony offer so much less than Sancho does, so why single Sancho out for criticism? Why drop him from the match day squad while continuing to play the others? Even if he did think that Sancho was training badly, why announce it so publicly? What does anybody gain from that?

As for Ten Haag needing to replace the entire first team, a good manager is able to get a tune out of the players they have at their disposal. If he can’t change the mindset of a handful of players after more than a full a season in charge, perhaps he has no business managing a club like Manchester United.

Perhaps if we were playing good football things would be different, but despite hundreds of millions being spent on players over the past 12 months, we’re still struggling to create chances, unable to dominate games, and relying on moments of individual brilliance rather than playing as a cohesive unit. These are the things that Ten Haag should be focusing on, not trying to publicly humiliate and belittle a £70m+ asset.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the likes of Rashford and Shaw do side with Sancho on this issue, creating divisions in the squad and making it even more difficult to turn things around. The board may have backed Ten Haag during the Ronaldo incident, but if more players start to turn on him I don’t think they’ll hesitate to get rid of him, especially with performances being the way that they are. Our away from is atrocious and our performances at home aren’t that much better, even if the results paint a nicer picture.

What sort of manager even says his player not trained properly …… you all moaned when Jose tried that tactic, but now it’s `ten the love child it’s the player at fault! You all want it both ways.

That’s in house stuff and should be treated as suvch, but Ten been trying to deflect anything his fault for a while now, keeps saying the players did not do what we ask them…. Bruno even hit back yesterday if you listen to his interview saying “we done everything the manager/ coaches ask today”

The ripples are circling that’s for sure, waves next, then wave goodbye to Ten, which will happen if takeover happens anyway!

Maybe your dream of ole coming back will come true Trafford, he qualifies as being nice and friendly, nothing else needed on his cv.

25.) 04 Sep 2023
04 Sep 2023 06:32:50
I seem to remember Pep publicly saying his players lacked guts earlier this year, then they went on to win the treble.

The common tread in the lack of performances isn't the manager, its the players. They need to look at themselves and honestly decide do they want to win, or are they happy to just pick up the money each week.

For the last few years our big issue has been the lack of goals, but our defence was solid so it gave us half a chance in games, now our defence seems brittle we are struggling again.

26.) 04 Sep 2023
04 Sep 2023 06:34:15
What have I missed? Apparently some are saying ETH is out of order? He was asked a question and answered it honestly! Sancho another player stealing a living and ETH is not the first manager to question his application! Why on earth he thinks he should respond on social media god knows but it doesn’t end well and I’ll be delighted if we can get another over paid, over hyped player out the door over next twelve months!

27.) 04 Sep 2023
04 Sep 2023 07:24:08
ETH is going nowhere, even with a takeover he’s the right man for the job. Anyone who’s watched Sancho play can see his attitude and application is awful.

28.) 04 Sep 2023
04 Sep 2023 08:12:11
Same goes for EtH, GTS. He hasn't coached this lot one bit and his tactics are awful. Its been a year and how long before we can say that EtH isn't as good as he has been made out. Honestly i haven't seen much difference in the style of play. Its still the same sideways lethargic.

29.) 04 Sep 2023
04 Sep 2023 08:34:14
Sancho has added nothing to this club and it shows on the pitch. You can tell the young weak minded in here from a mile off because they are the same and sticking up for him. He’s a name player, a youtube player, highlights reel. Eventhough you would struggle to see them from his time at Utd.

I can see why people backed Ronaldo, because he's done something in the game to warrant a big say, but to back a waster like Sancho that couldn't lace Ronaldos boots is a joke. He’s picking up 350k a week to do nothing.

How many of these time wasting money sapping players are we going to buy before we start doing proper back ground checks again. Sancho has previous, Pep hinted he was mentally weak. And Dortmund had a problem with his effort.
We been scammed again 80m toilet that doesn’t flush.

30.) 04 Sep 2023
04 Sep 2023 09:22:51
Trafford Jose was right though, and no one listened.

And in the end Jose was the one to leave while some of these players that have thrown previous managers under the bus are still here

How many managers have had these players and all had the same issue?

When do we learn that the issue isn’t the managers and it’s a set group of players that are still in the club who have played under ralf, under ole even under Jose

The rebuild isn’t complete the foundations are there but there is still major work to be done

4 games in and people are panicking already again
Ten hag is the manager and if players done like what he’s asking find another club.

31.) 04 Sep 2023
04 Sep 2023 09:32:11
Jose wanted rid of Martial 6 years ago and we are still stuck (literally a player that doesn’t move) with him stinking the place out. Let’s not look at Jose like he was this big issue and was a terrible manager, he won us a Europa League and
League Cup yet people still question him and say stuff about him whilst defending the dross he had to put up with. Pogba and Martial, and if Sancho was here when he was he would have also fallen into that category of lazy prima donnas.

32.) 04 Sep 2023
04 Sep 2023 14:48:40
East Stand Nick when I watched the match I thought Garnacho was level, certainly it looked very close - never saw the lines etc which was odd, but no harm bud every team loses goals to that, not just Utd - and on the back of Onana and Rashford in the last couple of games you've actually done alright out of the VAR calls so far

However, that is my major gripe with the offside aspect of VAR. I mean, VAR is supposed to get involved with the 'clear and obvious' - if you're busting out lines to see if someone's big toe is 3mm offside then it's hardly clear or obvious is it? I mean come on, the like of that Garnacho one looked close on TV, so pause it, look at the still and if he's off, he's off, it should be, well bloody obvious shouldn't it? If it's tough to tell then the decision just goes with the linesman - honestly not that difficult and sorted in about 10-30 seconds, not the 3-5 mins it usually takes!

As for Sancho, no harm but yous vastly overpaid for him and gave him a ridiculously huge contract. He has done nothing really since he has arrived and it really looks like ETH tried to work with him, sending him to Holland etc - for Sancho to come out publicly like that though is wild. ETH didn't even say anything really bad against him. I swear, players these days just sulk and cry to social media - what happened to just taking the manager's comments on the chin and knuckling down and working harder in training?

33.) 04 Sep 2023
04 Sep 2023 19:27:10
No need to tell me that, I agreed with Jose 100% even with his Shaw remark and still do, but most on here we’re barracking Jose at the time, I still say Jose best manager we had in last 10 years he won more the Ten with a much worse team, you all slated him because he lived in an hotel, how sad is that, in fact I would say it’s much better to live in a suite in an hotel then going home to a empty house! But no you lot would not have it! And for the record I would not want ole nowhere near being a club manager of under 5s, but whatever spin you try to -it on it, Ten as shown naivety big time, he just devalued the clubs asset in one sentence, that’s stupidity. Just say stock answer slight injury, then deal with it internally or get rid, go to board say I go or Sancho goes, but maybe he scared of the answer!
