Ed,

Was reading on bleacher report that were after Alex (PSG) on a free at the end of the season and a young left back called kolodziejczak from nice in France, can you confirm any interest?

Cheers

Big Mac

{Ed002's Note - Someone is teasing you about these players. If Kolodziejczak were to move it seems Italy will be the likely destination. Alex will be heading to Italy I would think.}

1.) Cheers for clarifying that ed, I'd never even heard of the second player, I didn't think United would go for so, done like Alex either

Hi guys,

Hearing there's good news coming out of old Trafford.
Cabaye is a likely signing, Moyes wants him, kroos and Dante before Friday.
Apparently we have given Southampton til hues to decide about Shaw with Coentrao on stand by.
We are hoping to send Nani out on loan aswell.

You heard it here first

Big Mac

1.) 26 Jan 2014 19:29:12
Moyes said more January deals are unlikely. But can see Cabaye.

2.) I think it's going to be a really interesting week and David Moyes clearly appreciates the problem areas all too well. Mata is the start, I think Vidal may sign as well as Contraeo.
I think we'll need to wait for central defence signings and Phil Jones's position needs to be sorted now.

3.) Phil Jones is a Vidic/Terry type centre back, needs to be played with a Rio type to do his thinking for him and he'll be a great centre back with his physical presence and willingness to stick his head where not many others would. How anyone thinks he is a central midfielder is beyond me but each to their own.

I'm guessing/hoping if Rio retires and Vidic leaves we replace them with one top centre back and let Evans, Jones and Smalling compete to partner him. Long term my money is on Jones being first choice centre back for United and England.

Cabayes agent due at old Trafford on Monday according to a source too in case kroos doesn't happen

Big Mac

1.) Is there any substance to the Kroos rumours? I don't see Bayern selling tbh. would be delighted if true though.

2.) I've jus posted what I've heard pal. Apparently we've bid £25 million for kroos, the player and agent want it but bay earn aren't sure, cabaye is the next option, we've told Southampton they have time til Tuesday to accept the shaw bid otherwise it's back to coentrao. I'm not in the know or anything it's just what I've been told

3.) Don't know much about Kroos but the opinion on Player Profiles says he's too fragile for the Premiership.

Graham Ruthven has said united have agreed personal terms with coentrao. But. Real Madrid don't wanna sell? How does that work? Is that not tapping up?

Sat here watching the champions league, does anyone else agree with me that it's not all about going out and spending millions on any player we can think of? I'm looking at Atletico Madrid here and thinking there not actually exceptional players, there just a really impressive unit and work hard for each other, if u compare there players to our players I think it would only be Felipe Luis and Koke who u would say are better than the players we already have. Makes me think do we actually need to go and get a kroos on £200,000 a week or would a young clasie make just as much an impact? Obviously kroos is exceptional but would he work hard every week for his team mates? Maybe that's what van gaal sees and we don't? It could b a fair point

Big Mac

1.) That is very true, but I think we need one or two extra definite bits of quality and then have players like that. Hard working players with quality are what we need.

May I just say while I can thanks to the Ed's for their insight especially those in the know but also all the regular posters on here. Syd jred et all. I check in daily. Congratulation to Demetria Mitchell btw for being part of the successful u17 championship.

Really looking forward to hopefully seeing Janko, rothwell, Pearson Wilson, Keane and pereira over the coming years. These guys seem the most likely to come through soon, but our u18 team has some really good players as well coming through.

I wonder if these quotes are true?

"I seen a lot of Kagawa when he was at Dortmund, he was the best player in Germany, I expect the same in manchester"

Louis van gaal has apparently said this, how true it is I don't know? Anyone like to clear it up

Ed can you see us buying any of these "Big" names? I honestly think we will only sign Shaw, Martins indi, Clasie and possibly someone like Depay. I know I'm going pretty double Dutch here but I just can't see us getting the likes of fabregas etc, just my opinion tho

Big Mac

{Ed004's Note - Hopefully}

Beast I assure u welbeck is not twice the player Hernandez is, in my opinion Hernandez I the far superior player, wherever Hernandez ends up he's going to end up a 20 goal a season striker, it's him who is unlucky that he's got to compete with Rvp and Rooney. I'll miss Hernandez when he goes, I couldn't give a damn if welbeck goes, he's just an average player, no better than the likes of Jordan Rhodes. If welbeck wasn't at United how many people would want to sign him?
