Ed002 if your about, you have mentioned we have moved on from coentrao but that we're still looking at left full back as a position we need to strengthen - is the paper talk of a sizeable bid for Luke shaw just paper talk or does it hold substance? If it's just jargon could you let us know which full backs we are still interested in.

Also it's clear we have interest in Vidal, you've said that a deal would be difficult which makes me believe it won't happen until the summer. Do you know if United would look elsewhere if we couldn't manage a deal this month now that we have such limited options in the middle with injuries and Anderson's departure?

Thanks in advance

{Ed002's Note - A bid has been made for Shaw after it became clear another club had made a bid. Interest also remains in Filipe. Interest remains in Vidal - he will be the first choice and perhaps Granit Xhaka is still in the mind of the manager.}

1.) Obviously Chelsea is the other club who have made a bid, with an outside chance of city.

2.) I would be very happy if we could get in mata shaw and vidal before the end of the window. We would be a totally different side. The board actually seem to be trying to change things quickly for a change

3.) Just can't see Vidal going anywhere this window. Going to be very hard signing a top quality centre mid this window.

4.) Thanks ed, are we right to assume the other club is chelsea?

{Ed002's Note - Yes, there is no secret.}

5.) Can you confirm that the other club is chelsea ed002 and are either of the offers likely to be accepeted?

{Ed002's Note - Yes and no. The Chelsea offer was rejected a couple of weeks ago. A figure was provided as to what Southampton would want and the assumption was the summer would be a better time to look for a deal. If it looks like he might be available now, I would expect a further bid from Chelsea as well.}

6.) Well no one can deny DM is trying, it would be dream land if Vidal came now. To be fair if the money was right for Juve I can't see why it couldn't happen assuming he is receptive of the idea.

7.) Top man thanks ed. If shaw had to chose I would be surprised if he'd pick us over chelsea tbh.

8.) Shaw is very open about being a life long Chelsea fan seems to me this chase is pointless

To take the focus off mata/Rooney debates for a second do any of the eds or anybody for that matter know anything about any younger prospects we could be targeting? Names such a Juan iturbe and viktor Fischer don't seem to have been mentioned for a long time. I know we are in desperate need of a ready made talent but it's long been our club that develops rough little diamonds into world class stars.

If we can manage to win our next three fixtures and hope that Cardiff get something off pool then we would be going into the city game 5/6 points behind Liverpool. That would seem realistically close-able in the final 8 games if and it's a big if we can get the results we ought to be getting. Guess we will see in three weeks time but beating pool is a must in two weeks time.

On a much more important note - echoing all of the support to CTR and his family, hope everything is on the up.

1.) Personally I think it will be a miracle, Liverpool are playing fantastically and we simply aren't. They deserve 4th and I think will get it. We will finish 5th above Spurs and Everton though I imagine.

2.) Fresh I think you may be being unfair on Liverpool there. I can see them finishing at least third.

5th is the best we can hope for and if we do qualify for the UEFA cup I hope we give it respect and try and win in.

3.) 3rd is in their grasp as well yes I fully agree. It's between them and Arsenal to see who finishes the highest. We will do well to get 5th and topple Spurs - hopefully we go on to win the Europa League next season which would mean we have the Super Cup and automatic CL inclusion.

4.) Be better served concentrating on beating West Brom and stop getting ahead of yourselves and trying to predict what other teams are going to do. Your immediate challenge is to move from 7th to 6th don't you think?

5.) If all the players that will and should leave leave in the summer then there will be a chance for youth which I would like to see played in all competitions including the Europa League if we are in it to gain experience if noting else Johnston Varela Keane Blackett Powell Lingard Petrucci Pearson Wilson all deserve a chance

6.) Our collective focus on the West Brom game will make no difference to the teams result as we are not the players or the manager.

7.) We need to worry about building for next season now. We can only improve.

8.) Paddy,

I don't think all of the names you mentioned would get a chance. Powell, Lingard, Henriquez and Vermijl or Varela will get a chance this coming season - as well as possibly the Keane's.

9.) Liverpool have a pretty tough run in with home games against Chelsea, City and Tottenham. They have however been playing fearlessly and with enthusiasm. There is no reason why they should not be very competitive. The game against us could be very telling for them. If they win at OT they really will be flying high. Arsenal have away games at Spurs, Everton and Chelsea and home to Man City. City's and Chelsea's schedules look slightly easier. Right now I'd go for Chelsea, City, Liverpool and Arsenal but it's hard to call, and from a neutral point of view it's the best season for a long while.

Fellow United fans, I hate to say it, but I just don't see us catching anyone. Moyes may as well just drop the old ones and start working towards next season. He needs to be playing Kagawa, Mata, and Janusaj, together because they are the players who have the skills and movement to be effective. If it means alternating RVP and Rooney so be it, but either of them can play wider in a rotational system if necessary.

10.) I agree we need to support the team but there's a line between being supportive and being delusional. We are nowhere near Top 4. To be blunt we are not Top 5 material and Everton will give us a run for our money for 6th.

No European games next year could be a blessing in disguise for a crack at the league. Just look at Liverpool.

As I've said before though we aren't winning anything under this manager. We need new players and better tactics.

Just read this aswell on his twitter account, he also followed it up with - "mata condition to leave was that the club had to tell him he could leave"

Can somebody clear up what happened with daehli? Watched him in a few youth games and heard great things about him, then he left for what I understood to be home sickness. But he didn't seem to hesitant on the idea of playing for Cardiff?

Hardly athletic

1.) He will actually play for Cardiff.

2.) I heard he was upset that Adnan got the chance before he did given he was older and been at the club longer. I think Adnan going on the preseason tour and him not getting a sniff was the final straw. It's all rumours though so don't take it as gospel. It does make sense though.

3.) The only reason Daehli left United, was because OGS wanted him, and OGS could promise a regular starter in the first 11-team at Molde.

OGS means a lot to Daehli, and that's also why he turned down Manchester United this window, and joined Cardiff! Daehli's transfer to Cardiff was delayed a bit because our club wanted to have a chat with the young lad, because of some deal with Molde when we sold him there in the first place.

It's a shame really, that we lost Daehli. He's going to be the next big thing comming from Scandinavia!
OGS knows what he's doing over there in Wales!

After last night it does seem like the title has gone this year but I fully expect us to finish in the top 4. Looking at our fixtures between now and spurs at home in the new year we SHOULD be winning them all, I know this is the premier league and the same could've been said about fixtures we have already lost.
But if we can get two or three wins off the belt I think we could be set up for a new year united run of old.
After all it isn't the performances that are lacking now, it's the results, we aren't playing any worse under notes than we did under ferguson the difference is the players knew how to win under SAF.

Also find Woodward comments regarding shirt sales as nothing to read into, he is trying his best to show doubters that we won't slip into a Leeds like decline.

It's clear to see how talented the lad is, I have not been one to slate moyes because I do believe any manager in the world would have struggled this year.
However, I cannot abide one Ashley young and this video sums up the whole reason why, kagawa is much better technically, he's a much more clever player, yet young is preferred to him and even januzaj when we have a big or even olympiakos (average) sized game, it baffles me.
On a side note it's going to be so painful watching kagawa next year as it's clear to see how good he can be!

If Jose didn't enjoy west hams '19th century' tactics he would have loved playing against Fulham today ;)

I believe a huge issue has come to the fore today which we all knew was existent but didn't know quite how bad it was . The defence. How is it that we concede 3 chances to bottom of the league and they score with 2 of them, it's awful! Nobody else to blame today as nobody expected to be playing that insane set up from Rene. The midfield and forwards did what they could with what little space they could find and they manage to grind a goal ahead with ten minutes on the clock and the defence + de gea (wow) can't cope.
