I've read that Fabian Schars contract expires at the end of the season and was wondering if that's true or not and whether United or any other teams have shown or hold interest in him

05 Sep 2013 15:05:53
Previously posted that Nani would be offered a four year contract but its been confirmed that he has agreed a five year contract.

So Ole is in then.

One thing that's really came to mind when i heard about him coming in was when he said (and i'm paraphrasing here) that pogba is a talent and he would build a team around him if he was in charge, I remember he said this a while back and the prospect seems quite interesting now that he does have a chance to do so.

Come sunshine or rain the next couple of months are definitely going to be interesting.

{Ed002's Note - You appreciate that he has not joined to build a team. The deal is he is in Manchester until May and that is it.}

1.) 19 Dec 2018 17:13:31
He still has to put a team together to compete until may.

2.) 19 Dec 2018 19:20:33
How does he have to put a team together? He has to pick a team from the squad that is already there. Two very different things.

Eds/Posters is there any truth to mcnair being injured? - apparently he has a hamstring problem and will be out for around 3 weeks.

24 Sep 2014 03:25:56
Apparently Evans might be out for 4 weeks. So that leaves Rojo/Smalling/Blind who can play at cb.
If only we could play evans in riot gear but then again he'll probably still end breaking his leg somehow.
On a positive note i'm guessing this means Shaw starys at Lb.

1.) To be honest, I don't think Evans has been on his game anyway, so not a great miss at present. Can we not promote anyone from the reserves?

2.) I don't think that Evans will be any great loss. I hope Rojo moves to centre back and Shaw impresses at left back. Jones should be back soon too and Carrick who looks like he might play at centre half.

3.) 24 Sep 2014 10:36:10
Nomidfield, From reserves we don't have anyone good enough to play for the first team at the moment. But if we get any more injured then may be Tom Thorpe or Janko will be given a chance.

4.) Janko should get a shot, Thorpe I don't think is good enough.

5.) I would love to see janko unchained from the reserves.

6.) Haha good one imightbesomeone.

The phrase 'You don't know what you have untill its gone' can never be more truer than it is at united. We didn't realise how big of a factor Fergie was untill he was gone and its only showing now and somewhat last season how much Vidic and Rio did for the team defensively.
I have to agree with Van Gaal when he says that we all look to the referee but our players are good enough and talented enough to not put ourselves in the position we did. We all knew Leicester were good at coming back as evident at everton and arsenal but yet we allowed them to even at 3-2 we didn't take the initiative to control and calm the game and some of the players started to look shaky, mistiming and underpassing and getting knocked of the ball easily.
Alot of people are saying we should go and buy a world class cb but the truth is they aren't going to grow on trees for us and there is nothing wrong with trying to buy solid Cbs who might be just a notch down such as players like subotic, Scha.

1.) Actually fergie big factor why we Ares copyright now

2.) Subotic, Schar, Godin, la Porte are proper CB and much better than our lot.

The issue is we tend to overrate our guys that everyone thinks if we don't get a Hummels or Silva or Mangala we are not improving the team, which is so not true.

What would evans or smalling go if they were for sale and what would the above 4 go for, that should tell you if they are a major improvement or not.

I have left Jones out of this as it is early days but remember Micah Richards he was also one who even looked better IMO at a young age but so injury prone that he never realised his potential.

I've heard from a few places on the net that we have put a bid of around €40-50mil for Vidal. Any truth to that or have United made an enquiry?

{Ed002's Note - The Grimm Brothers Twitter account in overtime? An envelope passed by SAF to Conte perhaps?}

1.) You follow Official Agent too! Did you see the one where he said his friend at Savills said Ronaldo is looking for a new Manchester house, haha.

Fred, a bit funny, he seem to have some talent and I can kind of see him in that box to box midfielder role but it clear to see he has not settled yet, he needs a run of a good few games in a team with a settled defence that allows him to roam about and ease the pressure of him when we're on the back foot.

The fa and england in general have this problem when something goes wrong with the national team the premier league is one of the first to be blamed. We shouldn't be looking at what the problem is but why.
The truth is compared to other european players our english players don't stand a chance. Our youth players can't compete. Why would EPL teams go buy spanish player etc if we could get english player who are near there level and don't need to be acclimatised for a similiar price. The truth is we are bot good enough the system needs to be changed so that there is more stabillity and the staff and coaching methods need to be changed.
Instead of a system handicapping EPL teams so we are less able to compete in eurpe less than we are currently we should be looking to implement a benefit system where teams are rewarded for homegrown players playing a certain amount of minutes etc.

P.S. sorry about the spelling mistakes

I disagree Sydney if he starts letting them train the way they want it could be seen as special treatment and unfair etc

He will probably go after the derby with arsenal.
