Sounds like the focus is on outgoings as expected.

Antony - linked with Athletico or Saudi.

Shaw - linked with Saudi, didn’t see that coming. Perhaps he thinks there’s kebabs or something going there.

Rashford - done with no fee but 100% salary comfort.

Sancho - looks he’s waiting for Juve and I’d speculate they’ve assured him a deal can be done.

Garnacho - not much going around perhaps Villa or Chelsea.

Chelsea will not be buying Garnacho unless Simmons falls through, even then Rogers of Villa is ahead on him I’m sure.

Question for the group. If Garmacho stays (big if), why not try him up front? He has the pace required, can hold his own strength wise, has an eye for goal, and movement. Finishing needs work clearly, but could be the random move he needs?

I actually think Remus might have a chance here too now playing with Mbeumo and Cunha.

I share the view of others. Keeper and CDM are the immediate areas of huge concern for me, unkess Ugarte can come back and be turned into a monster.

Potentially up to 5 players out on top of those whose contracted ended (Eriksen, Evans etc) with only 2 in so far.

Our squad last season had no depth and was poor, it worries me we are now focusing on outgoings. I appreciate it will be because of finances, but it potentially leaves us in a very bad position going into the season if we can't strengthen further. Time will tell.

I wouldn't rule Chelsea out, firstly they have a habit of collecting young talented forwards. Secondly I think they will be shifting quite a few forwards if they can. Sterling and Nkunku look certain to leave this summer. While the Mydryk situation means he won't be playing for them. While they will also likely look to find a solution to Joao Felix and Armando Broja.

So that's as many as 5 forwards leaving this summer, meaning they will be left with options of:

Palmer, Neto, Delap, Joao Pedro, Gittens and Jackson as their main options.

Jackson they are prepared to sell, and I think will be used as bait to get Garnacho. While even if they sign Simons I think they could still have space for Garnacho as a 7th options for four starting positions in their typical 4231 shape under Maresca.

Neto/ Palmer as options on the right, Gittens/ Garnacho as options on the left, Delap/ Pedro as options at CF, then you have Simons, Palmer or even Joao Pedro as the No.10. Players like Simons, Palmer, Neto and Garnacho have all shown they can play on the left, right or through the middle. So they would have plenty of rotational options.

I'd imagine they will go with something like Neto, Palmer, Simons behind Joao Pedro as a starting line up, with Delap, Garnacho and Gittens on the bench to come on and offer something different later in the game.

Eric, because he's a d1ck, posing in a Rashford Villa shirt. He clearly has immense talent but he rearely showeddl it last year. If he had joined the United team Ronaldo did the first time, the players would have knocked his arrogance out of him.

Sadly, we have a lack of leaders so Garnacho has been free to do as he pleases.

Garnacho along with Rasmus, both think they are something special in there own heads, both are a pain in the A*** both need to be gone, Sancho. well he was always going to be a pain in the A*** from day one, I appreciate Shappy was championing him back then, but reality soon come to bear fruit with that.
Antony just better off in another league…. Problem RA made and set his stall out they they not wanted and the real world knows just wait and we will end up getting rid in last week, which will mean we buy not much….

It’s so frustrating that every year precious pre-season time when new signings and tactics can be bedded in we’re twiddling our thumbs and doing this usually after a few defeats in the first few proper games.
I get that it’s all money oriented with prices can drop as the deadline looms and this is when most clubs spring into action. The likes of Liverpool and City have gone big early, by paying more as they can. Most haven’t. I get it and we’re not the only ones. But frustrating as we’re generally very slow starters. Those points available at the start of the season are still just as valid!

Ultimately I want what Amorim wants for the team and he sounds like he wants garnacho out but if he doesn’t move we may need to use him at some point. Ajh yes he has been a dick but then most 20 year olds are coupled with the fact he’s on an extortionate wage at his tenders years gives him attitude and a sense of entitlement. Personally I think the players around him should tell him some home truths and if he ain’t listening a smack in his new teeth. Then he may get the point.

As soon as Amorim arrived, I said that Garnacho’s time was up. Even if he didn’t have attitude issues, he’s a limited player whose potential has been vastly overhyped.

Let’s be honest, Garnacho’s main attributes are pace, and directness on and off the ball. He’s good playing wide left and making runs in behind when fullbacks push up. His passing is limited, and his finishing is poor. This is compounded because he is always looking to shoot.

I think that Amorim put him on the right in an attempt to curb his inclination to cut in onto his right foot and shoot, and force him to develop other parts of his game. The result was petulance, and throwing his toys out of the pram after the Europa final.

For me, he’s done at the club, and we would do well to sell him before his pace starts to go. I’d be more than happy to swap him for Watkins. Even if Garnacho became the player he thinks he is, he’d be shopping himself to Madrid.

How do you know what Shappy was saying 3 years ago Herr? Interesting.

No idea where you’ve got Hojlund having a bad attitude from, you’re the only person I’ve literally ever heard mention it, I don’t think he’s good enough but his attitude seems fine, if it wasn’t then Ruben would have kicked him out of the squad like he’s done with the others.

Hojlund it is never his attitude or commitment, which all seem good, it’s his ability. Maybe we don’t play to his strengths, I don’t know.

Really, so the barracking or other players by Rasmus when he F**K* a finish up is great attitude? even last week against Leeds he was at it again and that’s first pre season friendly… when it was his poor touch that lost the ball… you clearly got your eyes shut or the tints are too strong
GDS do you think I was not born or able to read a few years ago then, not to read comments by others, even if I was not posting…wow …. that tops your comments.

Shappy you completely forgot Estevao. Even if Jackson leaves, and I’m not sure any club pays the 80-100m people quote Chelsea want for him, it would still leave them with: Palmer, J. Pedro, Neto, Gittens, Delap, Simons, Estevao with Guiu and Tyrique George too if they don’t go out on loan.

Out of the 5 forwards you’ve stated will be leaving Chelsea this summer, 3 were out on loan ( Sterling, Broja and Felix) with Felix barely playing before going out on loan in Jan and the 4th was banned and didn’t play either. The last player Nkunku has already been replaced by J. Pedro.
