Hard to beleive but not so long ago our plan b was felliani as 2nd striker pump. ball to back post for the flick on.
Things are changing for the better.

I was surprised to see him go, have Pereira or Lingard been more effective. He was excellent option off the bench when you're having a crappy game for the last 20 mins.
Underappreciated and usually played at DM which is unnatural to him.

We have no plan B now. Ole came in the December I'm sure Fellaini was gone by the end of January. I think he was a bit hasty and arrogant towards big Marouane to be honest. Say what you like about Fellaini but he always gave his all and chipped in with a good few important goals.

It was never Fellanis fault he was so good in the air any team that plays with him inevitably stick it up to him even Belgium have been guilty of this from time to time but it would be a waste to have him in the team and not use what he was good at. The blame was always and should be levelled at the mangers door and not the players for this if you want to play fast attacking football and you buy players and start players who are the opposite of the fast flowing style you just don't get what the fans want.

I just think the clubs recruitment has been really bad since fergie left we have been lacking an identity in the team and finally ole has given utd that identity and he is bringing in players who fit that, obviously not all transfers will work but if we start buying players like a fellani who maybe good but doesn't fit what ole is trying to do we are just going to regress again. That Moyes season i remember being heavily liked with Kronos and fabregas and end up with fellaini who is the opposite type of player to them you just wonder what was the plan or was there ever one in place?

It is taking ole time to get rid of the dead wood and correct the mistakes of the previous managers and bring in players that are more like what the fans think will play that fast flowing football we all want to see.

Wish we did sign Kronos. Imagine having a Titan at CB.

Fellaini was never a centre mid or DM, yet he constantly got played there.
He was a target man for Everton behind the striker. He should have stayed at Everton and played in his preferred position.

Let's face it he wasn't good enough, could any of you see him getting any minutes playing number 10 where you say his best position was? Or even anywhere in our midfield? It was a good piece of business getting him to move on, just because he scored a hatrick in China doesn't make it a mistake to get rid.

Spot on and a point I made numerous times. Fellaini played just behind the striker, around the edge of the box he had the ability to have the ball played up to him and his chest control was excellent, at his height always dangerous. No idea why we bought him but didn’t play to his strength because Moyes didn’t want to show how limited his tactic with Fellaini was. Was never a central midfield player.

He was a firm favourite of yours too jred.
Not my type of player but each to their own.
He had his talents android doubt and strengths and he always tried 100% but just not a player that i enjoy watching. Never did.
Best in the world at taking a 70 yard hoof up the pitch with perfect chest control though.
