Matic, pogba and bruno seemed to work very well last season. Won a fair few games with that midfield triumvirate, don't see what's happened to change that.

Personally i'd like to see a Matic, VDB, Bruno midfield or see Pogba instead of matic against the so called lesser sides.

Pogba needs to be dropped. I don’t remember a midfielder giving the ball away so much since Kleberson.

I’d go Matic, VDB, Bruno.

{Ed047's Note - they are a hard working team which Pogba doesn’t appear up to either, so definitely that 3.

Swap out Matic for Saul and that is a midfield good to go.

Lets not criticise a single player after 1 match when there was little or no pre-season. I am sure that Ole will work out his best combination in midfield sooner or later.

Matic, DVB and Bruno behind Mason, Martial and Rash for me.

Rashford should be on egg shells because he isn't playing well but Pogba has been to the detriment of the team lately. Bruno and DVB are two players with great footballing IQ and it'll be a pleasure to watch. Hoping for a good win today, shift some of the gloom.

I think Pogba wasn't fully fit last weekend, which was 6 days after he returned to training after a 2 week break with C.V. To be fair to him he shouldn't have started last week, it was clearly too soon.

I'd start him on the bench today and have him as a potential impact sub for the last 20 minutes if we need a goal.

MOTZ it’s not just 1 game is it. Pogba’s time with us is up, i’m sure we will see that by the end of this season.

Anyway back to the positives, hope Rashford can kick on from his goal earlier this week. A clean sheet would be great.


47 if we got someone like Saul in we’d be set, but that’s unlikely until Pogba is moved on.

He’s gone with the tried and tested. The good thing is that if Pogba doesn’t perform, he will get hooked as we have VDB. I thought Bailly would start after Ole’s presser but I guess it’s the same with the CB’s. He’s fit now so they have pressure to perform.
