I can't believe Maguire is in England squad. Another reason why Southgate shouldn't be a contender for the Utd job.

Sanchos been okay to good at times since Ralfs come in but England have an impressive set of attacking options so he has to do a lot more.

Where as the fridge has been so bad someone should check his bank account but England have a disappointing set of centre back options so he gets in by default.

Ed 014 Sancho has been one of our best players for a while. So. Much so that in the last few games like against Athletico opponents are putting two or three men on him to limit the damage he can cause. They are able to do this because the rest of out team is too static and not really threatening from the right wing.

With regard to Maguire he had not let England down and until he does Southgate is right to show faith in him.

{Ed014's Note - mate he’s been ok but nothing more for me and you have to admit it’s not currently taking much to be your best player.

I really don’t get the hype over Sancho at all.

Think that’s speaks volumes for the state of the English centre back pool rather than Maguire. And frankly, Maguire has been pretty decent for England and never let them down.

Leaving out Tomori is a joke. Guy is in the first team for the leaders of Serie A, but hey let's call up the guy who plays for crystal Palace instead along with Maguire, Mings and Coady, none of which Milan would touch with your barge pole.

MancMan, you should watch more Palace. Guehi's been one of the best CBs in the PL this season, and it's more than right he got called up.

As for Coady, Mings and Maguire, yeah. Tomori should get in ahead of all of them. Also ahead of Ben White to be honest.

To be fair Guehi's call up has as much to do with the Ivory coast looking to call him up as anything else. That's not to say it isn't a deserved call up though, it is. He has easily been one of the best English CB's in the league those season.

For me the ones that should have changed in the England squad are Kilman and Tomori in for Maguire and Mings who have been poor/ average.

Sancho (3 goals and 3 assists in 2022) should have been in ahead of Grealish (1 goal and 0 assists in 2022).

The rest make sense given form and fitness. Glad to see Gallagher and Guehi get a chance.
