does anyone else think that if courtois goes back to chelsea then De Gea will head back. He must be P***ed off

Malky

{Ed002's Note - Atletico are already looking to a different solution.}

1.) Why would DDG go back? Especially with his pal Juan joining him at MU.

2.) Why must he be pissed off?

3.) I feel maybe 1 day as much as I think De Gea will be worlds #1 keeper, he will go to Barcelona and probably blame the weather in Manchester, homesickness etc. Will be sad to see him leave as we have never really replaced Peter Schmeichel apart from van der saar for a few years, we missed out on him in his hey day.

4.) We'd want a profit not sure Atleti would pay that much.

5.) Because his defence is letting him down and it makes him look bad. Listen i'm a De Gea fan and I always thought utd should've went for him( earlier in my oppinion) But Utd are on the downward spiral and Athletic are on the up. Don't be naive and think otherwise. I hope with the Mata signing he has a friend within the squad. For what its woth Courtois is the best keeper about and has been for a while

6.) DDG will be focussing on improving his performance level I suspect. He needs to improve from recent performances, that's for sure. I don't think he's plotting his escape just yet.

If he gives us 3 more years and leaves us as a world class keeper for a big transfer fee then he'll be remembered fondly. Turned out ok for CR7.

I have been searchin through loads of players today and was thinkin would it be good business to sign Ryan Gauld and Souttar from Dundee UTD but leave them there to progress for at least this season if not next before their value and attention from other clubs soars. Thoughts please

Malky

1.) I very much like this idea, we just have to keep the same manager to do this though otherwise we'd have players on loan everywhere (a la Chelsea) with no real place for them in the team if a new manager for example where to buy his own players

But it's something I'd like, especially as they're from the uk, keeping with traditions

2.) I agree although I feel it would be beneficial to get an agreement with a club like Dundee utd to "loan" them players from the accademy to get them playing time. I'm from Scotland and I know the league isn't great but its a better standard of football than the academy leagues

On my post before kids like Gauld who I see every week, sign him and play him. Messi was 18 when he proper made his name

This is not united related bit to show what a youngster can do. Was watching 'magic of messi' and it blew me away, I'm a Ronaldo and maradona fan but this shocked me. After watching I thought At what age does someone need to be to play for United. I think we regard youngsters too inept when you look at our history, the class of 92 is a perfect opinion. If your old enough you play, look at Southampton. I feel we don't bring players on enough, in our frame of mind hazard, oscar, Ramsey, Bartley would be too young and inexperienced but I don't think we give them a chance. Sorry too many beers but it's how I think

Malky

1.) Age matters when you're not Messi.

Messi is the most gifted footballers we've seen in the last 20 years, if not ever. Ronaldo himself doesn't possess half the talent that Messi has but through sheer determination and hard work reached a similar level.

Rooney is the only player who might have reached that level since he was just as talented ( albeit in different, less obvious areas ) but failed to do so

Hey guys I know there's a lot of smart guys on here on the football front and was wondering after cough getting the sack today, how many managers have been sacked after facing a scot in the other dugout. I'm sure fergie got rid of a few. I'd imagine people likes shappy, syd, red man etc might like this question. As you can tell I'm Scottish so please give moyes a chance, the older united fans will know what I'm on about from the fergie days, back when utd weren't winning every thing

Malky

1.) I am not Scottish but I am objective. Nani should not have been re-signed. Whilst he made a couple of good passes and runs, he does not really challenge lost ball and at times seemed disengaged. Anderson and Buttner should not be in the first XI. Should have started RVP instead of Chicha. Rio should be retired permanently. He lost the plot. That said, whilst I still think DM is a good manager but think he is a stubborn manager trying to change the grain of the Red wood. Am sure his coaching staff is serving him well but are they serving Man United well. It is time DM wakes up else I seriously worry for him the repercussion from the fans.

2.) Yeah we also remember when sir Matt retired and we hired a very nice man, wilf McGuiness, who was totally out of his depth.
Does that remind you of anyone?
