Hey eds. Is the rumours on Benteke true that we are pushing for him at £32.5mil? Also could you clear up the constant linking with gaitan is there anything there?
{Ed001's Note - as far as I can find out there is nothing happening with either in regards to Man Utd. I have been trying to find out where the Benteke rumours originated as I don't know where that has come from. As far as I can find out (sadly) he is just waiting for Villa and Liverpool to come to an agreement.}

I think mainly what seems to happen is that anybody Liverpool are linked with then gets linked to United so that Liverpool fans on Twitter can say 'haha he turned you down and signed for us' even though we had no interest in paying the fee in the first place.
{Ed001's Note - I think it is also the media just trying to increase comments on their pages by linking the biggest rivals together creating an argument. It is about money for them.}

Good point, it's not the LFC fans fault we get linked to these players and can't blame them for then thinking they beat us to the player. I can't find many United fans who want Benteke but will still have to see them on lists of players who 'turned united down'.

I'm surprised we haven't been liked with a good 5, 6 or even 7 different centre backs. Surprised the Hummels interest has died down but eventually I reckon we'll get Otamendi(not that that's a bad thing of course).

His agent has already come out and said that he would be leaving the club and that a deal was all but agreed. Assuming we pay £30m or less - I'd be thrilled if that deal was with us.
