This boil of a club needs to be lanced and its pus removed.
It needs some care and attention to restore good antibodies to its body and remove the harmful bacteria that still remain. Then it can start to heal and become healthy again.

I have become quite sick watching its demise.

Its depressing to watch us play.
The joy of match day has been sucked out entirely.

Morning all. In reply to Shappy, s poser. For me I have supported OUR team since 1970.My first match was with my dad at StJames Park in the old Leazers end (hardcore fans) I watched Charlton Law and Best play that day and Georgie scored a great goal. We won 1 nil and I was fixed! I have supported the team through thick and thin, through pure joy and genuine heartbreak. Newcastle United have faired far worse than us but retained a most committed loyal support. They have won nothing since 1969! So for me as having lived up there for a long time Newcastle United would be my alternative if MUFC did not exist.
They are United. We are United

Come on everyone! . Get behind OUR team and give them our support today. A long journey always begins with a first step.

I'm still only relatively young - was born in 92, however when I saw United for the first time I was hooked too. Beckham was always my favourite but what I loved the most was the British core we had, sprinkled with foreign flair. I loved the never say die attitude that we had and expected us to score 1 or 2 late goals every game.

I personally think the club needs to try and push this traditional approach - hungry British players that will never give up no matter what the situation of the game is. I'll admit I have been spoilt as a supporter but the thing that upsets me the most about our current situation is not the results, the tactics or the substitutions - its the lack of desire on the pitch - we just seem like a bunch of primadonnas rather than the bold United of old.

Totally agree with those sentiments 100%
It does sometimes seem that when the times are bad, like they are now, there dosent appear to be any apparent desire to make things right. If you are a local lad or a player from England that understands what MUFC means, times like these become personal. i'm not saying johhny foreigner dosent care i'm saying not as much.

Probably some of the clubs I played for out of sentiment. However if I am looking for an improvement in style from what we are witnessing at the moment, maybe West Brom would be a more enjoyable choice!

I would most likely support Everton. I feel they have similar values as us and their supporters have always been classy.

Haha, who disagrees to that??

Welcome aboard matey, we got a good win tonight and looked much better in the final third - at least in creating chances. Maybe you are our lucky charm ;)

Great read. Completely agree with all you say!
Something really has to be done for the benefit of our game as we will lose it otherwise. Need everyone to challenge it correctly and with intent ie clubs, supporters pundits and broadcasters. then something may change.

Brendan. Thank you so much for sharing your feelings with us all. Thoroughly enjoyed your writing on a sad sad day in Uniteds history. So well said and a reminder to us all to not get so caught up with success as the be and all.

Completely agree with generous applause and a minutes silence.
I would think it quite proper and fitting to give a standing ovation to Leicester as well as they walk on to the pitch.
