Benatia signs for Bayern, another player we've let slip but touch wood we'll forget about it in the next few hours with the impending arrival of Di Maria
1.) Never let him slip! he just simply wanted to go to bayern and bayern wanted him!
im sure ther some add ons in ther with that transfer fee!

Spending 60m on a winger we don't need will make us forget all about the central defender we desperately need who sold for a third the price.
4.) Thorne do you actually watch any man utd games?, excluding januzaj our wingers can't go past a man and they can't cross for toffee and are simply just doing a job, if that dosent mean we were crying out for di maria then I don't know what does.

Just read on the old internetesphere that we have a long standing interest in Frickson Erazo from Ecuador and Flamengo, 26 year old defender and that we're about to go in with a bid for him. Could any of the eds say whether any of this is true please? Thanks a lot in advance, much appreciated

Do Man United still hold an interest in Marquinhos of PSG? Thank you in advance
{Ed002's Note - PSG's Marquinhos looks to be moving on with discussions already held with Barcelona. Although he is not their first choice a deal will probably be completed. The player was offered to Chelsea but they still have Varane as a target. I understand that efforts were being made to entice Manchester City in to a cash bid but they would be reluctant at the price being asked.}

I know this is very hypothetical with a lot of ifs buts and maybes but what if we sold Chicharito as expected, and swapped Welbeck + cash for Jan Vertonghen as somebody posted the other day. This would mean we sell Welbeck and Hernandez so we'd need to bring in another striker, how about Loic Remy? Should be available around the £10m mark still which is the minimum ammount I'd expect for Chicharito anyway; it would make perfect sense to me because he offers what both players offer in that he makes runs in behind defenses on the shoulder of the last defender, very composed in front of goal and is to a degree comfortable with the ball at his feet. Added to the fact that LVG is supposedly moving to a 433 and he could play anywhere across the front 3 as well as the injury records that some of our forwards have I think he could play an adequate amount of games and add a few more goals in attack for us. Having van Persie, Rooney, Remy and promoting James Wilson to be the 4th striker of the set who we all know can go on to be a star for club and country, I think we could have 4 strikers with the ability to fire on all cylinders
1.) Adnan, Rooney, Van Persie, Wilson, Di Maria & Mata is enough JF IMO.
Remy would cost £14m plus high wages and signing on fee. Expensive package.
He wouldn't come cheap and not many games left with just the league and FA cup left.

I agree with Sydney, we could sell Welbeck, Hernandez, Kagawa, Anderson & Zaha without needing to replace any of them

What do you think? Do you ACTUALLY believe this is true? That Ed Woodward gets 31 days holiday and can take them all at once in the middle of the transfer window?
2.) C'mon gdsbasf everyone knows ed takes his holiday this time of year. He disappeared in Australia last year and USA this year. You would think he could sort time share out!

Could any of the eds if you have a few minutes spare shed any light on the Fabio Coentrao situation please? There's every chance Evra could leave for Juventus and we could be left on low supply on players who can fill the Left-Back role, we nearly signed him last summer and he can play all the roles that Blind can and is only 26, thanks a lot in advance

What would people on here think to the rest of our summer transfers being Carvalho, Miranda and Depay? Would you be happy with it? Is it realistic? I personally would be very happy with it and in short be happy with the blend between youth and experience in our signings without (hopefully) costing extortionate amounts

I saw the Strootman or Song debate that people had the other day and I've thought of one that could cause discussion fit the posters/eds, how about Konoplyanka or Depay, both players could flourish should they sign for us

I agree matt I don't think we will sign anybody tomorrow but Falcao would be brilliant even if it is on loan, well here's to an interesting day of hoping anyway I suppose

To me signing another striker would make perfect sense. With Welbeck and Chicharito supposedly going to Spurs and Real Madrid respectively on loan and van Persie needing surgery which means he'd likely be out around 3/4 months minimum which leaves us with Rooney and Wilson up top which is far too light in numbers and quality so even if we signed falcao on loan then I'd be very happy
