Read on a web site another bid of 35 million for fabregas going in after he got took off early the other day and was not happy, wishful thinking if you ask me

Jacko77

1.) Read this too but didn't think it worth discussing. Fabregas very recently came out saying how much he was loving his time at Barcelona. Being taken off with fifteen minutes remaining in one game isn't going to change that - especially not to the extent where he wants to leave.

2.) Please not this again.

I see a web site are saying the glazers are going to sack moyes after the Chelsea loss!

Jacko77

1.) If he has funds and the backing then it's the right decision. If he has no funds then there isn't much he can do.

2.) If the club buy new stars for him, he can do what we want him to do, BUT if there will be no good new players, Morinho plus Guardiola plus Heynckes all together can't do any think better.
Became champions with these player is just Ferguson ability, and now he is retired.

3.) As much as I agree something isn't right I don't think sacking moyes is the answer and plus who do we get in to replace him that's actually going to turn our season around? Unless fergie is willing then I think moyes should be given another year. If this time next year we are struggling like this I think he should rightly be sacked.

4.) I think moyes has to be looked at, falleni was a shocking buy, kagawa plays in the no.10 roll against Swansea 2nd half and plays well yet doesn't get picked since, young, nani and Valencia have been shocking yet zaha doesn't even get a chance, I've lost all confidence in him myself

5.) What an personic post

6.) No way! Stability is what our club needs not another transition, Moyes will get it right but needs time to do the required work.

7.) Wouldn't say no to Heynckes to be fair, give him three years to keep up our high standards and replace SAF, he is a big enough man to do so. Not saying Moyes should go though.

8.) Very much agree ozwald!
Could any of the eds let us kno the situation with utd as regards the owners. Are they purely only interested in making utd as valuable as possible commercialy before flogging us?
Or do they actually give a dam football wise?
Either way a few star signings would only help!
Im pretty sure most would agree we are in need of a Cantona type scenario where somebody comes in and just grabs the team by the scruff of the neck and does the business.

9.) Ferguson's record against Mourinho hardly set the world alight did it now. Losing today was to be expected and yes, United are out of the title race. Top 4 is the priority now (+ the League Cup would be a nice bonus) and I would think that Moyes will bring someone in this month. Fellaini was a panic buy granted but Veron was a very expensive flop as well (about the same sort of money as Fellaini, more when inflation is taken into account). Moyes cannot achieve anywhere near the same success as Ferguson when its not 'his' team or a squad full of world class players. It will take time to rebuild, just hopefully not 20 years ;) .

Hearing koke has signed a new deal, is this correct Ed?

Jacko77

{Ed002's Note - Yes, but has no bearing on anything related to Manchester United at all. It is to fend off interest from another club.}

1.) Ed002 sorry if this sounds thick. But could you explain why it wouldn't have bearing on utd but would with the othet club?
Also guessing the other club is barca?

Cheers!

{Ed002's Note - Because Manchester United do not operate under Spanish law.}

2.) Thanks ed002

3.) The other club(s) being Barca or and real.

{Ed002's Note - Barcelona. Real Madrid have very specific plans for the summer and they do not include Koke.}

4.) Valencia then ed? due to their new owner.

{Ed002's Note - Right.}

5.) Thanks ed, quite enjoy the quiz/pestering for the answer.

Hi ed, can you see Woodward delivering the targets we need to strengthen the team this year or do you think he will fail like last year. Looking at it this year either we are not looking at transfers just yet or we are keeping our business less public unlike last year which was common knowledge for everyone.

Thanks

Jacko77

{Ed007's Note - It doesn't matter what Woodward or the club do this summer, there'll still be people not happy and say they've failed.}

Morning eds, do you our transfer business will be done before or after the World Cup?

Jacko77

{Ed002's Note - I cannot answer questions about the timing of transfers.}

See the fabregas rumours are doing the rounds again, if only these were true our poor midfield would be vastly improved

Ed is there any truth to the van persie rumours please

Jacko77

{Ed002's Note - RTP.}

1.) I have and tried the search but I can't see an answer off yourself

{Ed002's Note - Read yesterday's posts then.}

2.) 16 Feb 2014 09:48:28
I've read a quote from his agent saying he was very happy here and will likely finish his career here, anyway if I had it my way i'd keep van Persie and sell Rooney if I had to pick one because he's twice the striker Wayne is IMO

3.) Hop on the rumor page. The expectation right now is that Van Persie will stay, but if he asks to leave things might change.

Thanks for the answer Ed002

4.) Ed002, good morning, there are reports from the Times today claiming Evra can trigger a clause in his contract forcing MU to give him an extra year. Do you know if this is accurate? I cannot bare another season with Evra at LB. The last three have been enough for me to pull all of my hair out. It will be difficult for MU to compete for a top notch LB with Evra in the squad and on the wage bill. Do you have anything on this? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I don't know if there is such a clause but others have had similar clauses. It is not uncommon for a club to buy the clause out then let the player leave on a free allowing them to get a better signing on fee elsewhere.}

5.) Thanks Ed. One more season of Evra and I think I will be bald.

6.) You are already bald syd! Not much left on that old head of yours mate. Who are you trying to kid?

Ed if your around, with the imminent departures of nani and Anderson or so we hear does it mean we are more likely to sign a couple of players this month?

Jacko77

{Ed002's Note - The club is doing what it can.}
