hi eds bbc sport online are saying today we've resumed talks for shaw. do you know if talks are still ongoing?
thanks in advanced

Red dev

{Ed004's Note - Yes interest still remains}

1.) There have been a couple of media stories today saying Shaw would prefer a move to united because they are offering 100k a week wages, whereas Chelsea are very reluctant to go above 60 on a teenager.

Alot of upset fans on here but I don't know what really we expected. a lot of comments on tactics I thought last night tactics were not too bad a 433 was really what I wanted to see as against most teams overrun our midfield. Unfortunatly it was selection that was disapointing although I wasnt suprised to see evra ferdinand and welbeck I was shocked to see clev. Unfortunatly all of the above aren't good enough with bayern coming up and evra banned from the first leg I thought we may see buttner against some strong opponents before the bayern game. Facts are rio and evra shouldn't play again till the last home game to say goodbye both are liabillitys. Clev well nothing needs saying. Welbeck is played to stretch teams with pace but that's all he has. I honestly think he's now worse than nani tbh atleast nani controls the ball the most dangerous thing about welbeck is the back of his heel. This season altho for us fans is a disaster may turn out to be a blessing in disguise we know what we need to do, we know how far behind we are. Hopefully with some luck in the summer getting the right targets we can get back on track. A season with how it looks now without europe at all may do us well for moyes to implement his plans on a lot more of his own squad. let's hope for a better run for the end of the season abit more team spirit.

1.) Welcome back Red Dev where have you been since Moyes took over our team in fact where have you been whilst he was manager at Everton! Do you honestly want us to be a boring mid table team for another 5 years? And yes like many I remember pre SAF and the those wilderness years

Like to put a congratulations out to sunderland played a good game last night and thought they were brilliant in extra time just kept us pinned in. Not a great night for us again but tbh focusing on the league may be a blessing and city would have destroyed us. Hopefully mata gives us a big lift we can start playing differently. I also thought evans and smalling were brilliant last night deserved a mention with the amount of corners they dealt with. I just don't see the fuss with welbeck but moyes likes him I can only remember 2 good games this season tbh. 5 loses out of 6 in 2014 isn't great but backing moyes to turn it around get us playing again let's hope for a strong end to the season
Also big thanks to the eds in madness month!

After getting back I thought the result was always on the cards. But what's strange is the subs! I just haven't thought any of moyes subs have been convincing so far.

Don't hold your breath about Wednesday .
Even if we get good reasults following game will be back again. Just as when he was Everton manager he won one big game the lost to club bottom of the league. When did Everton go on a long unbeaten run? Never

Balague twitter

AS reporting that United went to the Liga offices to pay for Herrera buy out clause but left without paying it yet for bureaucratic reasons

Red dev

1.) There's a 6m IVA fee, bring the total to 42

Big al serious if that was a decent game for sturridge is hate to see him play badly! The defence wasnt always awful at time cahill was a machine! Rooney played very well. To pick out gerrard welbeck and johnson but not mention sterling is redic he did litterally nothing!

Completly agree nozzla atmosphere was electric. I also think valencia deserves a mention that eye looked really bad but he played on. Passion and desire of the team was what was great last night. Maybe the first leg of the quaters with evra suspended buttner can prove his worth

I agree fresh we do desperatly need to get away from 442. But there's 1 main problem that's stopping us that being patrice evra! His lack of defending and effort to get back is the main reason I think we've stuck with 442. Only my opinion though. What I wonder is in the next few games would it be worth playing buttner? I know he's rough dound the edges but evra knows no matter how bad he plays he has no competition. Also if were not willing to play buttner there is absolute no reason to keep him come summer as he's not trusted by moyes.

Perhaps a change of approach and moyes wanting to leave traditional wingers behind as most of ours are useless. If he can take his blinkers off about welbeck aswell and bench him we may start getting somewere

I agree with the 5 in midfield with a midfield as weak as ours we have to start playing 3 in the center. Also stop playing wellbeck on the wing he's been poor recently. About players though I have to disagree with vidic and evans. Vidic shouldn't be playing 3 games in a week. Evans looks uncomfortable on the ball when passed to just wants to pass it on a lack of composure. Jones and clev were far to close on the pitch not once did they show to pass out from the back which then led to long ball bolton tactics. Which suited newcastle. Anderson atleast showed for the defence and drove forward. Think your alil unfair on nani he wasnt great but zaha did absolutly nothing when he came on. Although I think him and adnan should have switched wings. Adnan tryed to take on the world and went down looking for fouls if rafa wasnt tired he should have been subbed. Moyes tactics are strange valencia has played well recently but gets dropped. Yet welbeck was awful against spurs but started against everton. Well titles over and without a lot of luck so practically is top 4. Personally i'd rather not finish in europa league as u can tell with liverpool the lack of a unwanted distraction is giving positive results. Hopefully moyes will see that money needs spending in jan value in the market shouldn't be a issue when your in our position. Hopefully the results will pick up else moyes may lose players in the dressing room if he's not careful
