Are the rumors true about Utd having an offer of 50m euros for Chiesa rejected by Fiorentina? It goes on to say, Utd is expected to come back with a better offer.

As much as I would like Jadon Sancho, the club need to be careful that they don't spend all summer chasing a player who ultimately the club can't afford.

Federico Chiesa could be bought for half the amount Jadon Sancho would cost, while a deal could be far easier to conclude.

The club would be mad to at least not considering Chiesa.

We have to be looking at other options to Sancho for RW such as Chiesa and Torres. Madness not to. Think Ed002 has said Torres has stated his desire to play for Barca. Either one of these 3 improves the first team though.

W16wes, having watched Rojo over the past few years I'd imagine any deal to exchange him with Fiorentina would work something like this.

Chiesa for 55m

Or Chiesa for 70m + Rojo

Seriously if we can get him and Jones off the books that would be a great summer.

I agree shappy it wouldn't be a sweetner really but if they have any interest we need to exploit it. I mean i duno how true the reports where of evertons interest in rojo but if we did ask for 30m not 3m then were crackers. there's a lot of players that we need to cut ties with using a player as a make weight in a deal would be ideal for us in some cases as i don't see many others lining up for rojo.

I’d really like us to go all out for Sancho in this summer.
RW position has been for years a pain point in the squad and should definitely be the first priority.

Adding a world class winger on the right side of the attack would, I believe, massively improve our chances of closing the gap towards the top two teams in the league - Pool and City.

With the development of the other areas of the team, and adding only a WC right attacking player, while maybe offload some of the players that don't deserve to play for United (Jones, Alexis, Andreas, Lingard, . ) the transfer period would count as a huge success for me.

That said, if we don't manage to get Sancho - due to unsucessful discussions with BvB (it has been written that the player already approved the move) - getting a player a calibre of Chiesa for much less, would also be a really decent option.

Mad Hatter, he has mainly played on the left wing this season and last season, partly due to the emergence of Havertz, but he has often on the right wing previously, and more importantly he’s a left footed winger, and I think we’d be stupid not to consider him if he’s available for €40 million as some reports have suggested.
