To the editors, how are the club progressing with a search for a new RB? Any updates on targets?
Huge thanks.

{Ed002's Note - The club want a back up for AWB and have not found anyone interested in playing that role as far as I know.}

Some muppet on another site is suggesting we are in talks for Trippier.

The club does have an interest in Trippier. Would he be happy to return to England to play a rotation role? He has just been first choice all season for the team that just won La Liga.

That said he turns 31 in September. He comes from Bury and is a boyhood United fan. While let's not pretend he wouldn't get a bucket load of cash for his troubles. He might be tempted to take it.

While he might be signed as a back up/ rotation option for AWB, if he outperforms him then he will likely get ahead of him in the pecking order.

While his experience might be something AWB could learn from.

He is English, experienced, still a good player, and with one year left on his deal in Spain should be available for a reasonable price.

This is definitely a deal I could see getting done. In theory it's one that even Ed shouldn't be able to balls up😂🤦‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️.

Why would he want to swap playing for the spanish champions with a top coach for a Utd team who are far behind City and likely to be way behind Liverpool and Chelsea too. Even more so because Utds manager has not proven his ability as a good manager.

Being a boyhood fan is all well and good but he should only want to come to Utd if he believes we can win titles. I want winners in our team.

Salford, any footballer with half a brain will know we aren't going to be seriously challenging for years yet. Regardless big who the manager is. The whole club is run by amateurs, making amateur decision after amateur decision. They don't learn from their mistakes as they don't want to hire anyone who challenges the way they run the club.

So like I said any footballer with half a brain (which admittedly is probably only 25% of them) . Wouldn't come to United in our current state to "win things". Which if we hold true to your beliefs then we won't sign anyone this summer, next summer or any summer bar either stupid or delusional players.

The rot at our club starts at the top, and until it is removed don't expect or hope for any better, you'll only end up disappointed.

Shappy, regardless of who the manager is 😂 complete nonsense.

I can tell you, if we had a competent manager in charge this year, we would have been properly challenging and maybe have even won a trophy.

{Ed077's Note - the manager doesn't seem to fancy him for whatever reason.

Salford7 one reason for joining United is that he loves the idea of having 2 DMs sitting ahead of him in fred and mctom.
Also with Lindelof being the right sided CB trippier will get to hone his defensive skills much better.
And honestly our bench is pretty great company with the likes of Matic, Donny, Alex Telles all seasoned professionals with whom he can talk as much as he can in English. I think any player would be super excited to work under our managers where he can have a crap game and yet come out and hear we are getting better and better.
And with ole ball in place, he won't really have to attack so less running for him and just make the interception and pass the ball to Lindelof or fred so that they can create. It's a much easier job than an Atletico.

We bought one of the most promising attacking right backs in Europe in Dalot, can cross a ball too. However, the amateur coaches didn’t do anything and moved him out.

Unfortunately Dalot has picked up a series of injuries. He has spent 336 days out injured for us since signing in 2018.

The kid is talented, but he struggles to stay fit in the EPL.

He was young when he signed, and as with all young players some times it works out other times it doesn't.

Memphis Depay signed and struggled with us, he was okay under LvG but poor under Jose. He has since gone to Lyon picked up his career and looks set to join Barcelona on a free this summer. Was his failure at United under Jose due to poor coaching?

Maybe Dalot has been poorly coached, maybe he has just been injured, maybe his head wasn't in the right place and he is responsible for his lack of progress at United.

Or more likely it's a combination of all of them to varying extents. Difficult to say from the outside looking in.

Agree Dalot looked injury prone with us. As for Depay he just simply didn't show anything like the form at Lyon at United. I remember nobody was crying when he left! No petitions being written when Dalot went on loan either!
