So while we price players out of being sold and hanging onto players that are in nice terms a bag of s*** which is resulting in us not being able to get anyone else in

City are going out and getting ronaldo.

I don't know about some of use but this is worse than when we first sold. him what i'm feeling about it.

Think i'm gnna have a meltdown 😂.

This is another in a long list of events that have shown that our club isn't and doesn't act like an elite club.

Oh please. Our club deserves the right to not buy a 37 year old for sentimental reasons!

That 37 year old happens to be better than more than half of our team and better than all of our forwards combined.

This isn't some over the hill footballer. This player is the hill. He would instantly make us title contenders. And that's just looking at what he can do on the pitch. But this is much more than not signing a 37 year old. He's a club legend, someone the fans adored and he'll be plying his trade with our rivals.

Who knows if he would sign for us or not, but we let it happen without even trying. That man will score a boat load of goals for City and when he lifts the premier league and potentially the champions league above his head over the next two years, that will cement the fact that we're indeed small time.

Im also looking forward to the inevitable "ole has done brilliantly getting 4th. How can he compete with Klopp, Tuchel and Pep with Ronaldo"

Mediocrity awaits. We're closer to being like Arsenal than we are to City.

its not sentimental as UA said he is miles better than our forwards even at 37 and i just don't get why we haven't even tried to even have a conversation with him.

i just can't see anyone getting close to city now, thought chelsea were the team to beat but ronaldo is on another level and makes city the best team out there.

not sure how true it is but talksport said that his agent offered him to us first and we turned him down so then he offered him to city.

{Ed002's Note - I explained this last week.}

I was up for Chelsea this season anyway. Of the 3 teams that I believe will Committee to win the league they would be my pick.

He only scored 36 goals last season, clearly his legs have gone.

Didnt we extend Mata's contract for sentimental reasons?

If you ever watch City, sterling and Jesus miss so many chances.
Having someone like ronaldo playing with one of the best coach in Guardiola with so many creative players supporting him, I think Man City will be very unbeatable.
City were only lacking a striker and they have replaced it with the one of the best player for the position. Only Haaland or Lewandowski are comparable.

{Ed014's Note - it would take them to a whole other level as a club in all others aspects too.

To be fair Juventus did win everything with him playing for them last season, they were unbeatable and won every game 10-0.

I can't believe some people think that the way forward is to pay a 36 year old 1m pound a week . No doubt the city's lawyers and accountants will be getting ready for another visit from the ffp people.
