I said the same to my brother during the match on Wednesday Ken. If anything, just to mess with the opposition. No one would expect an old school 4-4-2 with Ronaldo and Cavani up top.

I’d like that too, try and score more than we concede, just not sure we would have enough control in the midfield and may become overrun.

To get Ronaldo and Cavani into the same team this is the way to go but I worry he will try and make one of them play on the wing.

It’s all about intensity for me, why do we wait until we are 1-0 down because we start playing? Surely that can’t be the plan, I’m starting to think we would perform better if we turned and scored an OG from kick off every game, give ourselves 89 minutes at a higher tempo.

Ken, it does look good on paper.

However, I doubt Ole would still persist with his double pivot no matter who plays mid which would put all the burden on Sancho and Rashford to create chances as well as provide service to Cavani and Ronaldo.

Bruno will have no impact from deep and don't think he would appreciate it much. It will be hard to keep him confined to that role as he moves about a lot and wants to be on the ball always.

The only way it could work is if Ole ditches his double pivot and has McTom covering the back while Bruno plays as a box-box and is afforded more freedom to be in the attacking third consistently.

Ive stated this too previously. A Two man midfield with mc t or dvb slightly deeper like carrick used to play and bruno being a proper midfielder an AM and not a false striker. Pogba dvb and jesse to change it from time to time. Rashford left sancho right with martial and greenwood covering or alliwing them ti switch wi gs during the game like we used to with cr7 and giggs. Then two from ronaldo cavani greenwood rashford and martial. Loads of ootions there.
Letting matic and mata go and getting another proper deeper midfielder like ndidi philips or bissouma. Neves has mouhtino behind him usually so doesn't cut it for me.
