Looking forward to tomorrow. Everybody needs to show up. We can't afford not to match their effort and intensity from the off.
We will run out of steam for sure but if we have something to hold onto the crowd can be our 12th man.
They are not agreed side but are a good one and they know their jobs. Better away from home in cl than at home.
They can be got at and we need to take our chances.
No idea who will play or where they will play but there will be a plan I just hope the execute.

The big difference for me will be whos defence bottles it first, we need to be at it like a pack of wolves, don't give them a minuite to settle.

Run our balls off and fight, that's all we ask.

Matic and Fred midfield worries me the most.
Matic will be tired after playing Saturday and we will start losing the midfield battle.
And no matter what formation both Cavani and Ronaldo have to start.
Ronaldo seems back in form and we will need Cavanis running.

Felix ran the show last time out, this is the sort of game we need a Herrera or Park to follow him around. McTominay didn’t play first game and I think he could well be key in this game. I’d like to see Matic with McTominay and Fred ahead of him. Not sure Matic will have another 80 plus minutes so close to Saturday though.

Ronald will be buzzing after Saturday and against Atletico so I’d go him with Sancho and Elanga either side of him.

I’d be playing McTom holding, Fred as the ‘8’, Pogba as the ‘10’ with Bruno off the right, Sancho left and Ronaldo up top.

i think it might be better to leave pogba and bruno out tbh,

we need players who will run and not be a burden, pogba is more harm than good.

Bruno does run but sometimes he can go missing so from a tatical aspect I wouldn't start either of them.

I'll say it now, I think whether we progress depends on whether Maguire starts of not.

That's not meant to be a sledging of Maguire, he isn't a great player, but currently his form and confidence are at absolute zero. He needs taking out the firing line.

If he starts tonight I think it's an almost certainty that Atletico score. If he's bench I think we can keep a clean sheet.

While Atletico have struggled to keep clean sheets this season they aren't a side that give you too many good chances to score. While our side have shown a capacity to throw away many good goal scoring chances. I don't see us scoring more than 2 goals maximum. Therefore, we need to keep a clean sheet. For me that just doesn't happen with Maguire with his confidence and form right now.

Whilst we're not in great shape, Atletico certainly aren't either, and the first leg was a really decent result. I would say it's two sides in a similar place and could go either way. Never been particularly impressed by Felix but is of course a threat, whilst we have a few players starting to show some form.

Downsie, I don't think McTominay is a holding midfielder and think he isn't disciplined enough to do that role. He needs a bit of a licence to be box to box and use his energy correctly. I don't think this is a game or Atletico Madrid are a team you can afford to have passengers, we need to at a minimum, match their work rate and with a base of Matic, Fred and McTominay would do that. I'd then trust we have the quality in Sancho, Elanga and Ronaldo, to be creating and scoring goals to put us through.

Joao Felix is a fleet footed very light body almost a feather weight. How about a crunching tackle 2 min into the game, just a small hello welcome to Manchester. Best to kick him out of the game.

I think we’ll play 3 at the back. I think Ragnick is in a difficult position. Maguire needs to be dropped, but there’s already so much disruption in the squad that dropping the captain for the biggest game of the season will make it worse.

Long term the club have completely screwed themselves. They spent a world record fee on a completely average defender and there’s no way out of it without massive embarrassment for all parties.

Well nice to see the famous man united sportsmanship at the end of the game last night throwing bottles of water at the Athletico manager at end of the game . I hope uefa were watching that. The manager could of been hurt.
