Liverpool fan here in peace.

I see that many people are saying that Moyes was a hindrance to the development of some of your players, e.g Jones and Raffael. However, the introduction Januzaj and his progress was obviously fairly good, as you say, even with Moyes as manager.

So under a good manager, with good coaching he will surely get better. My question is how good do you thinks he can REALISTICALLY come. One of the worlds elite players, a very good player such a di Maria. Or do you think he is largely overhyped

Januzaj can become whatever he wants but he MUST keep his feet on the ground and keep working hard to improve.

2.) Like all young players he has to improve in many areas but has the technical ability and tactical awareness that are a sign of great talents. As CTR put it up to him how he develops and sometimes even with the best of application they don't get there.

Other players like, Iturbe is are probably even more talented and in the same boat.

3.) 21 Jun 2014 18:42:44
For me Januzaj is an incredibly talented player and to add to that he has a fantastic attitude and work ethic e.g. wanting to develop in the same way Ronaldo did especially for somebody who is yet to hit 20
He posesses such a great touch and finesse to his game in every aspect naturally and he has the confidence and somewhat self arrogance to show it on the pitch which is something I've seen in only a handful of young players; this is something that comes to great players over time and the fact he's developed it at such a young age will set him up for what should surely be a great career
No doubt he has potential like you said and I think be will become one of the world's best with the correct coaching and I think he ticks every box and has what it takes to become every bit as good as Ronaldo, Messi etc.

4.) 21 Jun 2014 18:43:15
Well said CTR too

5.) Agree with CTR.

I think Januzaj is something very special. He is unique in the sense that he has the great balance of a terrific winger, but with the intelligence and cuteness to play as a number ten. He is also fantastic at beating players without having lightning pace, although he does have a great burst of acceleration. He is the most special talent I have seen come through in England for a long time, and as you say, he should improve under LvG who has a great track record of helping develop some of the best players of the past 20 years.

6.) It's really hard to tell. Januzaj has the talent to become great no doubt, but there are a lot of factors that will determine his progression. There's already immense pressure on him after only his first season as a first-teamer, but it seems like he has his feet on the ground. Doubtful he'll ever reach the status of someone like Ronaldo but I think he'll become a very very good player.

7.) 22 Jun 2014 01:12:19
He's got immense talent but what sets him apart from many promising youngsters is his work ethic. I think he can go far but only time will tell.

8.) CTR summed it up perfectly

He isn't as far along as Sterling to my mind maybe due to less first team games, keeping grounded is perhaps the most important thing for all youngsters of great potential

Take Morrison he could be a world great, sadly he's not right in the head with regard to keeping his head down and grafting and living right

9.) There are many young players who have promise and don't take the step to greatness. Take Giggs, really top player but will never be recognised in the top echelon like Ronaldo. When Ronaldo first walked on the pitch it took your breath away and Januzaj has an element of that but I am not sure he will get to that level, remember Rooney at that age was spectacular. Now Januzaj has to physically fill out and keep grounded, work hard but it is often mentality that prevents development. Whilst I haven't met him he seems intelligent with what he says.

My guess is that he will be one of the worlds top players whilst perhaps lacking a touch of pace and we haven't seen his heading ability yet but Ronaldo developed that, Januzaj has everything else. He appears to be physically developing and his World Cup experience so young will help. He is already hell of a player who will improve, the skills are there but greatness will be determined by his mental attitude and willingness to work hard.

Maybe Redseven. But we have addressed our most blatant issues. We needed most notably a left back. Got a great young one, then our other defensive reinforcements were welcomed. We needed more depth in our forward line, we've now got that.

You needed a commanding top CB and a dominant class centre mid. These issues remain IMO for you. However, there wasn't a great chance of getting all that in ine window, given what you did spend.

Just wondering what leads you to beleive Shaw is better than Moreno and Rojo is better than Lovren?? I have seen more for me to beleive otherwise, especially in the left back case.

Not gunna sit here and say your signings are terrible, Di Maria and Falcao will add vast amount of quality, Blind fits the system but seems like a glorified John O'shea to me. But he will help the team. I think the main thing what you've done is add the fear factor back, no one wants to play your forward line tbh.

At the end of that day, speaking as a Liverpool fan, as much as a I like to sit back and mock you lads, I'd rather be fighting at the top with you than city or Chelsea. It would be such a shame to see our great rivalry between to massive clubs to lose it's intensity.
