Hi all

Iv not posted very often but I am a daily reader throughout the season. Iv been reading the recent activity on here regarding our transfer business and thought I'd put my thoughts on here

Transfers of Fred and Dalot early on gave me great optimism of what next season holds, however. that has since decreased and I am slightly concerned on the lack of activity in the market.

Now we all know united get linked to every player known to man but this summer has a completely different feel to it.

I fear we are leaving it very late and quite clearly the bale saga is a joke. I'm fed up of false hope and hanging on by a thread to the thought of us actually signing someone who is going to make a big difference and get the fans excited for once.

I maybe being negative however there is only 3 weeks left and no sign or hope of anyone with proven quality coming in and Liverpool for once are actually worrying me with their decent signings.

Thoughts anyone?!

Not much positive coming from Mourinho's latest press conference then. For the last few seasons we've been playing second fiddle to at least one or two English teams at different points in time - Mostly being Man City and Chelsea. After the changes at Chelsea we don't know how they'll adapt and the direction their football will take. However Man City still look as strong and Liverpool are getting stronger. Diogo Dalot and Fred don't seem like enough to compete, but let us hope for the best. There's about 3 weeks left in the transfer window.

Alderwerield and Bale with a fit and ready Luke Shaw, I’d be happy enough with that.

Am I the only one disheartened by today's activity at OT?

All the departures has now got me worried. We all knew that the DDG transfer was going to happen but navas??

Please someone put me out of my misery and say that that's not the last dealings? We need arrivals and decent ones so anyone please give me a ray of hope!! I'm sitting here watching this unfold and actually praying tomorrow is a good day and not a disappointing one!!

Thoughts people

So that's janujaz and Hernandez on their way out along with Evans, and there's also DDG going to RM!. surely I hope to god this means a couple of signings are in place. LVG surely won't leave with one striker in Rooney!

Any ideas who we could sign and please. do not tell me Charlie Austin. that would be suicidal!

I am a first time poster and I would like to commend the EDs and all of you who take the time to post on here as it makes a good read for me and throughly enjoy it so thought I'd take the time to post myself regarding this summers dealings.

I'm pleased and disappointed at the same time.

Depay great potential and wil turn into a brilliant player no doubt

The rest bar schweinsteiger doesn't exactly strike out at me and get me excited to watch them play. Chelsea have hazard, Pedro to name a few, city have aguero toure, silva and even sterling.

Am I the only one who is looking at us and thinking we are no closer to these type of teams. the team looks slow and very defensive. We could so do with a flare player like bale or Neymar but who can ever foresee that happening. So apologies to those who don't agree I can't help but feel slightly deflated right now. Feel free to shoot me down but I'm sure you all agree as Utd fans that that kind of player is needed to boost that team and strike fear into those were playing against.

To be fair Memphis is a player to get excited about, Mata could be if played right, De Gea I loved watching him last season but we are missing that one player who makes you know you will win a game (Ronaldo etc)

Welcome to the madhouse

I think you are right and along the lines with what a few of us have said, my point though would be that we need two players, one wide pacy creative and the other a top striker. At the moment I look at the team and there isn't the fear factor there especially as Memphis is too new and inexperienced to really have that profile yet

Ronny, e needed a RB and brought 1 who looks quality. We needed more control in the middle and bought Morgan and Basti. Depay has huge potential. We are short up front and need more pace on the RW but you seem overly down mate

Totally agree with all your comments and yes I do seem overly down but that's after watching Chelsea, Man City (of all teams) even arsenal develop over the past couple of seasons and I look at their players. hazard,Sanchez, silva, Pedro to name a few and I look at United and it just smacks of slow football.

Yes agree with di Maria and falcao even I thought at the time wow! But something doesn't sit right with me and this is my worry. they are not at the club any more after one season. Superstars are very few and far between now especially when they play for barca and real but to not even nail down Pedro who was second fiddle at barca half the time. Everyone laughs at us because these stars are no longer attracted to Utd and it worrys me that we're going to fall further behind and end up like Liverpool. Maybe I am being pesemistic and I hate it but I'm not totally satisfied seen as Rooney (my fav player should I add) seems to be lacking as the seasons go on. Maybe I'm just to used the units of old the attacking Utd who would terrorise teams down the wings or splitting defenses open with a sublime or deft pass from attacking mid. just my thoughts really I'm happy with what we have done I just think the club needs a star to turn things back to a little more exciting down OT.

United are in no way interested whether the fans think it is exciting or not, they are building a football team not a circus act.

Hi all

Been a long admirer of this page for a few years now and a fantastic page to come and read others comments, Al the EDs posts keeps you entertained wether rumours are true or not.

I felt the need to post my thoughts on this window and the handling of the clubs transfers since SAF's departure and I must say although some fantastic signings this summer, some which are still to show fruition but I am impressed with the business we have down however I can't help but feel slightly deflated after looking at the likes of Chelsea, Man City etc and there signings. I'm not one for throwing money to the cause but I do believe that is the way football has gone is merely a given formality.

I'm slightly frustrated in the lack of business regarding a CB and especially a forward. We all like signings and the excitement it brings but I can't help but feel anxious that this window is just going to pass by. I'm fed u with all the names being thrown around like a child's unwanted toys such as Neymar, Miller, cavani etc.

I am a united fan through and through and would love for us to sign someone who will make other teams look and think wow, what a signing we haven't had that since god knows how long and before people say CR7 he was unknown at the time so wasn't an immediate warning shot to others but I just can't help but feel we are lacking in that cutting edge, game changer of a player. There is still time and I will keep my hopes up no matter what but it would be nice to know other "fans" thoughts and feelings regarding this window as I for one was gutted about the Pedro deal. Bale is never going to happen and neither is Neymar. when are UTD going to be that force they once were in football!?

Di Maria? Falcao? I thought they were wow signings.and 2 years without a title. blimey we are truly rubbish. If we had made all of this summers signings this week instead of at the beginning of the transfer window, we would hailing this as the best transfer window in a decade.if we don't make any more signings I'll be satisfied, 1 or 2 more and I'll be over the moon!

Can we stop this Ronaldo was unknown when we bought him thing, he was easily regarded as one of the brightest talents in Europe while at Sporting.

I'm sorry but being realistic here but can we honestly say or believe either of these players are going to arrive in less than 8 days? I'm a first time poster so don't go for the jugular here but I can't help but feel slightly deflated in the speed of which our business has slowed down and I'm getting fed up of all these rumours!
